Actually, for this reason, treated water has the ability to rid the walls of the washing machine of various other sediments. To remove contaminants in such water, you will need fewer substances that enhance the cleaning effect of water, and the filter itself does not need to be cleaned.

Polyphosphate

A polyphosphate (salt) filter is a flask with large colorless particles resembling salt. This device directly affects the biochemical structure of water. As a result of purification by such a filter, water turns into technical water. A full flask of this component is enough for 10,000 liters of liquid.

The operating principle is based on the slow passage of water through sodium polyphosphate. While its active component reacts with the liquid, binds carbonates (a base of hardness salts) and blocks their path to the thermoelectric heater and other components of the washing machine.

Such filtering devices are connected to a cold water pipeline, since at temperatures above +50 C the salt itself begins to disintegrate - in this case, this filter element will not produce the slightest result. Occasionally you will need to add polyphosphate to the flask of the filter device, because its components dissolve. Manufacturers advise replacing the replacement filler when the contents of the flask have decreased by 50% or the contents of the tank have not changed for a long time.

The polyphosphate substance itself can be produced in various forms. As a rule, these are translucent granules. A less popular option is the powder version, which is made in the form of pressed white tablets. Despite the low price and simple installation, the filter has a significant drawback - it clogs very quickly. As a result, it must be cleaned frequently.

Purification of tap water for technical needs is carried out to separate solid substances and soluble salts of calcium and magnesium. The presence of mechanical particles in water negatively affects the operation of the washing machine. Many structural elements of the unit are made of plastic and rubber and do not allow the presence of mechanical impurities in the working environment. How to install?

The stages of installation of main filter devices will be as follows. Before installing the main filter, it is necessary to stop the flow of water by closing the main valve. After this, you need to relieve the pressure in the water supply system. To do this, you will need to open any tap.

Directly above the junction with the route, the fixation points of the filter device should be noted. Using an electric drill, you need to drill holes and install the dowels that come with the filter. Using couplings, and, if necessary, an elastic liner, the filter is cut into the water main. External valves must be thoroughly sealed with sealing tape.

During installation, it is necessary to monitor the direction of water flow. The input must be labeled IN. Then you need to adjust the holes for the fastening material located in the upper part of the filter element and tighten the screws using a screwdriver or screwdriver. The filter must be fixed to the wall; in another scenario, it will begin to exert significant pressure on the line.

Testing the functioning of the filter device: you need to let water into the system (open the valve). Afterwards, all connections should be inspected for leaks.
