Proper storage of washing powders will help protect the whole family from accidental poisoning or allergies. To save money, housewives buy detergents in large packages. However, store-bought containers are inconvenient for long-term storage, while washing powder can last from three to five years.
Where to store
The desire to save money often pushes housewives to buy on sale. Typically, discounts apply to washing powders in large (10 - 15 kg) packages. Finding a cool, dark place at home for the weighty bag is only part of the task. The opened pack will need to be closed as tightly as possible each time so that the detergent does not lose quality.
If the powder is in a cardboard package, the place for storing it must be dry.
It is equally important that household chemicals are stored in places inaccessible to children and pets. It has been noticed that cats are very interested in powders not only in cardboard containers, but also in plastic packages, which are even easier to tear with their teeth. The animal can get poisoned, so you should store the washing powder in a closed, inaccessible place.
What to store in
The ideal solution would be to pour the product into a special container. A household plastic container is perfect, here are its advantages:
Now you know the rules that will not only protect you from the chemical effects of detergents, but will also help extend their shelf life and compactly place them in a suitable room.

Premises for storing laundry and toilet soap must have ceilings and wooden or asphalt floors. In the absence of such storage facilities, it is allowed to store soap in covered premises that do not have ceilings, but in stacks covered with tarpaulins.
235.
Laundry and toilet soap are stored in serviceable boxes, stacked in stacks no more than 2 m high. The width of aisles between stacks must be at least 0.8 m. When stored on pallets, the weight of the package should not exceed the lifting capacity of an electric forklift. The width of the passages between the stacks must allow the operation of an electric forklift.
236.
Laundry soap is stored in unheated dry rooms. Toilet soap is stored at a temperature not lower than – 5° C.
237.
Laundry soap varies and is stored according to its fatty acid content (60% and 72%). Toilet soap is differentiated and stored by name (“Bath”, “Family”, “Strawberry”, “Lavender”, etc.). A label is hung on each stack indicating the name of the soap, the date of receipt for storage, the number of boxes, and the total net weight.
238.
Before stacking, the serviceability of the containers is checked. If boxes malfunction, they are repaired before they are stacked.
239.
Toilet and laundry soap, regardless of shelf life and drying, are sold and accepted not by actual weight, but by the number of pieces of soap and their nominal weight, established during its manufacture at the enterprise.

Soap is released in the order in which it arrives at the warehouse.

Soda ash is stored in dry, closed areas with natural ventilation. Soda ash is hygroscopic, so the storage area should be frequently ventilated. Soda ash in storage facilities is stored in stacks on wooden floors or pallets. On decks, soda ash is stored in 4-5-layer paper bags in stacks no more than 1.5 m high.
The width of the passage between the stacks must be at least 0.8 m. When stored on pallets, the weight of the package should not exceed the lifting capacity of the loader used. The width of the aisles between the stacks must be sufficient for the operation of the loader. Before stacking bags, the serviceability of the container and the strength of the seal (tie, sewing) of the bags are checked. Bags that are unsuitable for storage are replaced with new ones.
Storing washing powder after opening the package
Keep the opened packet of detergent in a dry place so that it does not compress into a hard lump.
Often there is a special valve on the packaging for dosing the powder, but it is usually used for volumes of at least 5 kg, and in more expensive brands.
When it comes to a standard pack in a cardboard package, after opening it, it is best to pour the contents into a suitable container for storing washing powder:
- special containers for storing washing powder. Such containers can be purchased in specialized stores. Relevant if you often buy large volumes (10 kg or more).
- a plastic container with a sealed lid;
- zip bags (in portions based on the quantity for 1 wash in each);
- container for storing washing powder (3 - 10 l.);
- jars for bulk products with dispensers (700 – 1000 ml).
Containers for storing spaghetti or cereals are very convenient, as they protect the contents well from dampness and have a dispenser.
Proper storage of washing powder at home allows you not only to preserve the quality of the detergent for a long time, but also to protect your family from constant contact with it. You should always remember that despite the pleasant aroma, this is an aggressive chemical product that can cause allergies, asthma and other health problems.
Under what conditions should it be stored?
- The optimal storage temperature for washing powder is +15°C – +25°C.
- In this case, air humidity should not exceed 60%.
- And the container with the powder itself must be protected from sunlight.
If you leave the powder in a damp and too warm place, after a day it will be compressed into one large lump. Even if the quality of washing with this product does not change much, breaking it into parts before each use will be very inconvenient.
Do not store washing powder near heating radiators or other heat sources.
Already on the second day of such storage, the stain remover present in any type of powder will begin to break down. This means the quality of washing will become very low. The same consequences should be expected from storing the product on windowsills, in direct sunlight.
In order for the product to maintain its quality, the packaging must be sealed after each use. If it is cardboard, it is placed in a plastic bag, which is also tightly tied. Zip bags, metal clips or ordinary clothespins are well suited for this.
How to properly store washing powders in the bathroom
Often, effective stain removal is only possible with the use of aggressive chemicals. These are the majority of washing powders, excluding hypoallergenic and baby laundry detergents.
To reduce the negative impact of the powder on the body, it is worth organizing its proper storage. In addition, storage conditions also determine the safety of the product itself - otherwise the powder may petrify or lose its properties.
To properly organize the storage of washing powders, follow our recommendations.
Shelf life
It is believed that the powder does not deteriorate for years, so many people indicate an expiration date on the packaging. If you do not find the deadlines on the pack, then it is better to refuse to purchase a product whose sale violated the laws of the Russian Federation.
The shelf life is affected by the presence of active ingredients in the product that remove stains. The product usually expires when the activity of these components ends. In closed packaging and in proper conditions, this period is no more than 5 years from the date of manufacture.
This does not apply to special powders for children's things enriched with enzymes (natural BIO components) - these products do not last longer than 3 years, and sometimes they last only 2 years.
Can the product be used after the expiration date? Experts do not recommend it. And if there are asthmatics or allergy sufferers in your family, then you should get rid of expired “chemicals” as soon as possible.
How to store washing powders at home: conditions
There are three factors that quickly spoil laundry detergents:
- High indoor humidity.
- Direct sunlight.
- Increased temperature.
If there was an impact of at least one of the listed factors, then washing with such a powder is useless: it has lost its properties.
How to store the powder? We start from the opposite:
- Do not leave the powder where there is high temperature and humidity. Just 24 hours - and a stone forms in the pack. You can wash it with it, but whether it’s convenient to split the block is up to you to decide.
- Do not leave packs near heating radiators - after a couple of days, such a product can be sent to a landfill. Powdered stain removers are destroyed under such conditions, and things cannot be washed.
- By leaving the product on the windowsill, especially on the south side, you will soon get the same result as described above.
- Seal the pack tightly after each use.
- Wrap cardboard packages in cling film or a plastic bag, tying it tightly.
- A ZIP package will also work great. Clips and clothespins can be used for the same purposes.
Storage
It is not always possible to guess where to store powder detergents, especially if you are used to buying impressively sized packages of 5-10 kilos. When choosing a place, focus on the following criteria:
- Lack of access to the storage area for children and pets. Cats are especially interested in studying the composition of washing powders; they often tear plastic bags and cardboard boxes with their teeth. It’s better not to take risks - the animal may try the chemical.
- Kitchen, living room, bedroom - all these rooms are not suitable. Particles of powder, entering the air even from a closed package, eat into furniture, enter food and enter the body. There's no point in risking your health in vain - it's better to nail another shelf in the bathroom.
- The higher the shelf or cabinet, the better. A pantry or toilet are the most suitable places for their location. Towels and baby clothes are often dried in the bathroom - it is strictly not recommended to store powder in this room, even in the closet.
- Try to store the powder close to the washing machine - you shouldn’t carry it from the balcony across the house either.
What to store in
The ideal solution would be to pour the product into a special container. A household plastic container is perfect, here are its advantages:
- If the lid closes tightly and is additionally secured with latches, the risk of spillage is minimal. Children or pets will not open such a box.
- The polyethylene or polypropylene from which the containers are made does not allow moisture and sunlight to pass through. Therefore, you can store it directly in the bathroom.
- Manufacturers specially make volumetric containers of 5-10 liters narrow to simplify placement in small spaces.
- Ergonomics: carrying handles, convenient recesses, spouts for filling, measuring cups. All this and much more simplifies the operation of the container.
- Price and availability. You can find a container in almost any hardware store by choosing the appropriate color, volume, size and shape.
Now you know the rules that will not only protect you from the chemical effects of detergents, but will also help extend their shelf life and compactly place them in a suitable room.
An easy way to store washing powder
I offer a cheap and cheerful way to store washing powder. I buy a larger bag of powder (6-9 kg), the more, the cheaper. And I scatter it into one-and-a-half sized plastic bottles through a funnel.
I carry out the procedure in the bath, put on a respirator (breathing chemicals for 15 minutes is not much fun) and scoop up the powder with a mug. Of course, the larger the spout of the funnel, the faster the powder clock goes.
Then I wrap the caps, rinse the bottles with water and, for about a year, you can forget about the powder. You can store it in such packaging anywhere and at any humidity.
Completely odorless and convenient to pour into the car.
You can still stuff socks into the empty bag and a half, fill it with water and carry it in the trunk - a couple of riders and sterile socks.
a 5 kg bag lasts us for a couple of months - it takes longer to pour one and a half kg
a 5 kg bag lasts us for a couple of months - it takes longer to pour one and a half kg
5 kg for 2 months, is that a big wash every day? We are not talking about industrial scale and in general the point is not to breathe in the powder and ease of use.
A three-liter jar is our everything. You can lean back from modern fragrances.

IMHO, the easiest way to store washing powder is in the original packaging.
Offigeniy wrote: A simple way to store washing powder.
I read the title of the topic and wanted to tell you how I poured the powder into the bottles. But it turned out that they had already gotten ahead of me
True, I only did this once, because I don’t like large packages.
However, she used a more gentle pouring technology: she made a funnel from one of the bottles, wrapped a homemade funnel “neck to neck” with something sticky (insulation or tape, I don’t remember), cut off a corner of a bag with powder, lowered part of the bag with the cut corner into funnel and “milked” the bag until the bottle was full. Then I repeated the same thing with another bottle and the rest of the powder in the bag (two bottles were enough for me). There was no need for a respirator and almost no dust.
Shelf life of washing powder: how and where to store it
Many housewives never check the expiration dates of industrial products. Is it possible to wash with expired powder, how will the quality of washing change, does the expiration date affect the fabric, color saturation? Let's try to figure it out.
Shelf life of the powder
So, having chosen a product of a certain brand with a suitable price, you need to inquire about the expiration date of the washing powder and its storage conditions. Conscientious manufacturers indicate all this information directly on the packaging. For example, the packaging of Persil powder indicates a shelf life of 3 years in a closed container from the date of production, while Myth and Bimax can be stored for 2 years.
We recommend: Selecting a mode for washing a down jacket in a washing machine
If the date of manufacture and terms of use could not be found, or they are written in too small a font, you should contact the seller for help.
If you plan to purchase a large amount of powder in different packages, you should not open several of them at once. Powder in a closed container will remain preserved much longer.
Approximate shelf life of laundry detergents:
Container closed/open | Washing powder | Fabric softener | Laundry capsules | Whitening products | Stain remover in powder form |
Closed container (from the moment of production) | Year | Up to three years | Up to fifteen months | Twelve months | Has no expiration date if stored properly |
Open container (from the moment the package is opened) | Six months | Six months - a year | The advantage is that the container is opened only before washing | Twelve months, after six months of autopsy the quality deteriorates | Has no expiration date if stored properly |
Many housewives try to use products based on natural ingredients in their everyday life. This decision can only be welcomed, but you need to understand that the shelf life of these funds is individual and often quite short. The longer you store opened products, the worse the activity of the components that play a major role in removing stains becomes.
How should the product be stored?
The expiration date indicated on the packaging is not the only indicator of the effectiveness and safety of the product.
Often the powder becomes useless and harmful even before the “finish date” due to violation of the product’s operating conditions. Therefore, you should carefully approach the storage of chemical compounds.
When choosing a place where and in what to store detergent, it is necessary to exclude the influence of three factors that destroy granules:
- High humidity. Dry powders strongly attract moisture, and the granules, when saturated with water, stick together and turn to stone. If it remains near the liquid for 24 hours, the product will become a monolithic block, which will make it difficult to use, forcing you to crush the stone into small pieces. Fortunately, the main cleaning components will not lose their strength due to moisture and can be used in the future.
- Heat. Chemistry may not react to sudden temperature changes, but a long stay near a heating riser, radiator, stove or heater will not pass without a trace. Due to strong and sustained heating, the internal structure of the active substances will collapse, and the powder will no longer remove dirt.
- Direct sunlight. Prolonged exposure to ultraviolet radiation will also lead to irreversible decomposition of chemical elements. Here the principle of operation is similar to heating from a battery: the sun will heat up the granules and reduce their effectiveness.
Opened packages with broken seals suffer the most. Open access to the powder allows moisture, heat and sunlight to quickly reach the components and have a stronger impact on their structure. The problem is eliminated in two ways - by choosing an ideal location or by using a reliable protective shell.
Residual effect?
Surfactants remaining in fabrics after washing can be dangerous to people. To evaluate this indicator, the surfactant content is checked not in the fabrics themselves, but in the water remaining after washing and the third rinse.
The logic of this test is as follows: if after repeated rinsing surfactants still continue to be washed out of clothes and linen, then they are in the fabrics, and the more surfactants are in the water, the more of them there were in the fabric.
The maximum amount of anionic surfactants remained in the water (and therefore in the laundry) after washing with Ariel powder. Least of all - after Dosia powder.

Is it possible to wash with expired powder?
The shelf life of the average washing powder is from 3 to 5 years from the date of production, but it all depends on the manufacturer. During this time, the chemicals are fully functional. What happens after the expiration date?
An expired powder gradually loses its cleaning properties. Many pollution will be too much for him to handle.
The shelf life depends on the composition of the product, in particular, dietary supplements. The quality of powders is affected by storage conditions. When closed, they can lie for a long time and not lose their properties; when opened, the shelf life is reduced. Excessive humidity, high temperatures (from sunlight, batteries), and contact with other products spoil the product.
Advice from Miss Clean magazine: Do not buy cleaning products without the manufacturing date indicated on the packaging.
Why are expired household chemicals harmful?
Washing powders are, first of all, chemicals, so the terms and storage conditions must be treated with due attention.
Almost all such products have a limited time of use. Finding out if there is an expiration date is quite simple. This information must be indicated on the packaging.
You can verify this by picking up any powder of a well-known brand, for example, Myth, or Losk.
The quality of the detergent affects not only the result of cleaning things, but also human health.
It contains surfactants that help remove dirt, but can also have a negative effect on the skin of the hands, especially if it is expired.
In addition, the use of low-quality products can cause allergic reactions of the respiratory tract, skin irritation in the form of rashes and eczema.
Absorbed into the skin of the hands or body, the surfactants of expired powder can negatively affect protein, fat and carbon metabolism and even the composition of human blood. All this just shows how important it is to responsibly choose household chemicals and store them.
Special packaging for powder
If there is no suitable place on the balcony or in the bathroom, and there is a high probability that the powder will not live for the measured two years, we act differently. We purchase a special protective container and place it in any free place. There is no need to be afraid of dangerous consequences - such buckets have a lot of advantages.
- Tightness. Due to the tight-fitting lid, there is no possibility of spillage or moisture getting inside.
- Safety. The lid has a special locking mechanism that cannot be opened by small children or pets.
- Special material. Safety and tightness are guaranteed by particularly durable material. It does not allow moisture, light and heat to penetrate inside, and the washing mixture does not lose its bleaching properties.
- Practical volume. The assortment offered by the modern market helps you choose the most suitable box shape. The most popular are 5-8 liter containers, elongated 52-60 cm in height and having a narrow width of up to 30 cm. Such dimensions make it easy to place the powder next to the washing machine or slide it under the sink.
- Convenient add-ons. Carrying handles, side recesses, a pouring spout, a measuring cup - all this allows you to conveniently use the container without spilling the washing mixture and moving it freely around the apartment.
- Availability.
You can find a protective case for detergent at almost any retail outlet. There will be no difficulties in choosing a shade and print that suits the interior.
There are also cheaper options - put the opened package of powder in a tightly tied bag or clamp the hole with a clothespin. The main thing is that the idea adopted protects the laundry mixture from an unfavorable environment. Otherwise, there will be neither washed clothes nor a high-quality and safe detergent.

How to Read a Bleach Label
1. Chlorine can bleach things even at low temperatures, but it must be used separately from the powder. 2. And the oxygen-containing one works together with washing powders during the washing process in machines. 3. Sodium percarbonate in the composition removes plant stains well - from coffee, tea, wine, food, grass, etc.
How to Read a Baby Powder Label
1. Such a powder cannot contain any additional components to preserve color, give softness, easy ironing, fragrances - all this is a risk for the baby’s health. 2.
On imported powder, information about the expiration date and information about the manufacturer must be translated in detail into Russian. 3. Pay attention to the inscriptions “Hypoallergenic”, “Intended for newborns” or “From the first days of life”. 4.
The label must indicate the method of use and dosage of the product for each specific washing mode. 5. Compare weight - sometimes packages look the same, but weigh differently. 6.
Please pay attention to the powder consumption for one wash. This is an indicator of how economical the powder is to use.
Storage Features
The powder should be stored in an opaque, thick plastic bag or container. The packaging must be closed. You can't keep it in a warm place. This will lead to the formation of large lumps. Even if this does not deteriorate the quality of the wash, it will be inconvenient to use the product due to the need to crush lumps.
Do not leave the product near heating radiators or other heat sources. Elevated temperatures lead to the destruction of active substances used to remove stains. This will dramatically negatively affect the quality of the wash. Similar effects occur when exposed to direct sunlight. To maintain performance, the packaging must be sealed to prevent contact with oxygen and moisture.
Some manufacturers do not indicate an expiration date on the packaging. This is explained by the fact that theoretically the powder can be stored for many years without changing its properties. But in practice it usually happens differently. If there is no expiration date on the package, it is better to refuse the purchase. Moreover, this is a violation of the law.
The shelf life directly depends on the composition of the detergent. When chemicals lose their potency, their shelf life expires. Usually, in sealed packaging, subject to the recommended conditions, the powder is stored for 5 years from the date of production.
There are special types with a large number of enzymes (natural active substances) that can be stored for only 2-3 years. Usually these are powders for children's things.
Selecting a location
Do not leave the powder in places with high temperature and humidity. Even in 1 day in such conditions it will turn into stone. Similar consequences will occur when stored on a windowsill.
When choosing a storage location, consider the following requirements:
- Inaccessibility for children and pets. The composition may contain substances that attract some pets, especially cats.
- Cannot be left in a residential area. The kitchen, bedroom and living room are not suitable. If the pack is opened, particles of the composition will end up in the air and penetrate into furniture materials and food. This can lead to poisoning, allergies or an asthma attack. It is better to leave the packet of detergent in the bathroom, preferably on a lockable shelf. A storage room or toilet is also suitable.
- Do not keep the powder near towels, bed linen or underwear.
- If possible, it is better to leave the powder next to the washing machine. This will eliminate the need to constantly carry it from another room.
Selection of containers
Until opening, the product must be stored in its original packaging. This can be a plastic bag, cardboard box or plastic container. It is advisable to use the same packaging after opening. If the factory packaging is damaged, you can use a household plastic container. It has a number of advantages:
- Closes hermetically.
- Protects from sunlight and moisture.
- Can be equipped with a handle for easy carrying.
- It's inexpensive.
Hardware stores have special containers for powders. They usually have a relatively tall, narrow shape, so they take up little space. The kit usually includes a measuring cup. You can use jars for bulk products with a dispenser.
You can also use a zip-lock plastic bag. The latter ensures tightness. It is important that the package is opaque. Otherwise, the powder may deteriorate due to exposure to ultraviolet light.
Bathroom storage
Bathrooms and combined bathrooms in most of our apartments, unfortunately, cannot boast of either spaciousness or convenient layout. We are accustomed to this state of affairs, we take it for granted and often do not even try to change anything.
Therefore, when the editors gave me the task of interviewing friends and finding out what methods of storage in the bathroom they use and consider the most effective, absolutely all the participants in my mini-research first of all complained about the lack of free space.
One friend summed up the general idea very well when she stated, “Bathroom storage? What can you store there?! There’s nowhere to turn around!”
However, everything is not so hopeless: there are many ways and great ideas to optimize this small but very important space. We will talk about some of them in this article.
Bathroom furniture
For complete storage in the bathroom, you cannot do without good, roomy furniture. To make the room look beautiful, the cabinet under the sink and the cabinet above the sink must form a single set.
Vanity cabinet
This is usually the largest piece of furniture that can be placed in our tiny bathrooms. Therefore, the choice of a cabinet, or rather its size, must be taken as responsibly as possible.
The vast majority of survey participants advise choosing the widest cabinet that can fit in the bathroom.
Those who once chose a narrower model admitted that they regretted this decision: the small free space on the sides is practically not used, and there is not enough useful space inside the cabinet. Prices for cabinets start from approximately 4,000 – 5,000 rubles.
Cabinet or shelf above the sink
Of course, there should be a good mirror hanging above the sink. Some limit themselves to this by attaching a couple of holders for soap and toothbrushes to the wall. However, this solution is not practical if you do not have enough storage space in the bathroom. The space above the sink can be used very effectively to conveniently store small but very necessary items.
A mirror with an open shelf (or shelves) usually doesn’t save the situation: you can’t put many items there, and storage on open shelves often doesn’t look very neat, especially in such a prominent place.
After all, you are unlikely to want to bring beauty and order to them several times a day, artistically arranging jars and bottles, somehow scattered around the house? Those friends who have an open shelf hanging above the sink confirmed that when buying bathroom furniture next time they will opt for a model with closed cabinets.
According to them, using an open shelf is, of course, very convenient, but it is quite difficult to constantly maintain it in perfect condition.
The choice of a cabinet with a mirror should also be taken very seriously. For example, one of my friends chose a spacious cabinet that protruded evenly from the wall with mirrored doors.
In the store, this option seemed to her the most optimal, because there is much more storage space inside such a cabinet than in other models.
However, at home it quickly became clear that not everything is so perfect: some people can hit their heads on this cabinet when leaning over the sink. In the case of a friend, her tall husband constantly rests his forehead on the cabinet.
Most modern models have a storage section that closes with a door on one side only. Of course, this is extremely little. It is much more advisable to slightly sacrifice the width of the mirror surface, but purchase a model with two closed sections for storage (as in the photo below). The majority of survey participants considered this option to be the most optimal.
The price of wall cabinets starts from about 3,500 rubles, and for 5,000 rubles and above you can already choose something quite nice.
Pencil cabinet and other types of cabinets
If the size of your bathroom allows you to install such furniture, then you definitely have no problems with storage space! Taking into account the cabinet under the sink and the wall cabinet above it, you get a very convenient and spacious set in which you can place all the necessary things. Unfortunately, due to lack of space, none of my friends were able to purchase a pencil case, but most of those surveyed dream of one.
Additional storage space
Shelves, holders, hooks, rails, heated towel rails
All these devices are indispensable in the bathroom: thanks to their small size and variety of shapes, they can be placed exactly in those places where they are most needed.
They are very helpful for owners of small spaces, allowing them to store a lot of things in a limited space.
And, of course, with the help of such devices, the necessary comfort is created when all the most necessary items are at hand.
For example, a hanger that attaches to the door is very convenient to use and is perfect for saving space in the bathroom.
All survey participants have such storage systems in the bathroom and cannot imagine how they can do without them. The main problem was often cited as the not very neat appearance of open storage shelves.
And for this reason, some friends advise placing them in secluded places.
For example, a straight or corner shelf for shampoos and washcloths can be hung above the bathtub, but not opposite the door, but on the opposite side - behind the curtain, where it will be almost invisible.
On the inside of the cabinet door you can place small shelves or holders to neatly store useful items.
The surprisingly thrifty husband of one of my friends made neat shelves on both doors of the cabinet under the sink. A friend actively uses them and recommends everyone to make the same ones.
According to her, before installing such shelves, you need to decide what you plan to store on them - this is necessary so as not to make a mistake with the size of the shelves.
Shelf above the door
This non-standard and very practical solution is quite worthy of being adopted. None of my friends have such a shelf yet, but several people are very interested in this idea and want to bring it to life.
Baskets and boxes
When storing in a closed space (for example, inside a cabinet), distributing things into convenient drawers helps to effectively organize the space, compactly and conveniently store necessary items and quickly find the right thing.
In the case of fashionable open storage, an aesthetic component is added to all the advantages listed above: items in beautiful drawers and baskets look much nicer and neater on an open shelf than things just sitting on the shelf in disarray.
For example, you can purchase some charming storage basket that can decorate any shelf.
In modern design, a common idea is to make a shelf out of a basket or box attached horizontally to the wall. Neither I nor my friends have yet implemented this idea in practice, but many survey participants believe that this is a rather interesting solution that makes sense to use.
Organizer with pockets
In some cases, you can neatly store things using such an organizer. One of my friends admitted that she used to have an organizer, but then she got rid of it because it took up a lot of space, it looked unattractive, and you couldn’t put a lot of things in it. Another friend enjoys using the organizer and finds it very convenient.
Storage behind the bath screen
In many apartments, the side of the bathtub is closed with a sliding screen, behind which everyone usually likes to hide something bulky and not very attractive. Many survey participants store basins, washing powder and a bucket for cleaning the floor there.
Several friends said that due to the lack of other storage places, they have to keep almost all household chemicals behind the side screen of the bathtub. In their general opinion, this is very inconvenient: there are a lot of things, they all stand on the floor and block each other.
Accordingly, in order to find something, you have to bend low and stand for a long time in this not the most comfortable position. It is also very difficult to wash the floor under the bathroom: each time you have to take out all the supplies and then return them to their place.
Narrow roll-out basket
The idea of storing in a narrow roll-out basket seemed theoretically interesting to many survey participants. Nobody plans to put it into practice in the bathroom due to the lack of a suitable place. One friend said that if she had come across this piece of furniture on sale, she would most likely have bought it to place it near the toilet.
Ladder
The fashion trend of Western designers - storage on a stepladder or stylizing a rack as a stepladder did not find approval among my friends: most believe that if they had so much free space, they would better put a pencil case there.
Convenient storage of towels
When talking about storage in the bathroom, it is impossible to ignore the ways to store towels. First of all, it is worth noting that none of the survey participants kept the entire supply of clean towels in the bathroom due to the lack of a suitable place - everyone only had those towels hanging there that were currently being used by family members.
The idea of storing a supply of clean towels in the closet in the form of beautifully rolled cylinders, which is now very popular on all interior design websites and beautiful photographs, is liked by everyone, but no one has yet put it into practice. The reasons were usually given as follows: there was no time to change something yet or, due to habit, one did not want to violate the established order.
In fact, there are a lot of progressive ideas for conveniently storing towels. For example, you can make wonderful holders from ordinary tin cans, as shown in the photo instructions below. Or store rolled towels in a special bottle holder.
And at the end of our article there is an interesting video about how you can organize storage in the bathroom:
