How to fold children's tights compactly diagram

Tights are an important element of any girl's wardrobe. They keep you warm in cold weather, ensure contact between the foot and the shoe, and the integrity and completeness of your look depends on them. In turn, such an item of clothing as women's tights requires special care and storage.

Storing tights requires special attention. Cases when all the couples are mixed up and it is difficult to find the right one are familiar to every girl.

Incorrect sorting results in them becoming wrinkled or torn.

By learning how to store it correctly, you will save space in your closet or chest of drawers and will be able to avoid unforeseen situations. And your products will maintain their integrity for a long time and will look beautiful.

Helpful tips for storing tights

A selection of basic tips that really work will help you organize your closet and keep your hosiery in perfect shape for a long time.

Roll up

If you store your tights in drawers, the main thing is to avoid clutter and tangles. Storing tights in drawers is one of the best ways, but before putting them there, you first need to carefully roll up each pair. Having a drawer organizer is an added convenience, but you can simply store rolled tights next to each other.

Once neatly folded, you can arrange your tights in your drawer according to your preferences, such as color, occasion, or style.

Place in a bag

Bags can be the perfect solution for storing tights, especially if you have an extensive collection. All you need is a pack of sandwich bags, silk or organza storage bags and some labeling and you have a safe and secure way to store your tights. Simply roll up your tights and carefully place them in the bags. You can then use pre-made labels to label them (again according to how you want to organize your tights - type, style, etc.) and place the bags of tights in a drawer next to each other.

Use an organizer with pockets

Don't have room in your closet to hang tights? Use organizers with pockets! You can easily buy them and hang them anywhere: on the back of the door or on any wall. These organizers come with a variety of plastic pockets that are perfect for rolling up tights and putting them inside, while still being clearly visible, so they're easy to find and easily accessible by simply reaching out your hand.

Use a box under the bed

Under the bed is another little-used storage option for your extensive hosiery collection. Simply slide the box out of sight and out of the way until you need the tights. You can buy plastic under-bed storage boxes in as many quantities as you need, which will provide ample storage space for all your tights and stockings. Just like with your drawers, simply roll up all your tights, arrange them neatly next to each other, and close the lid to keep dust out. Choose boxes with small wheels on the bottom for easier access.

Cases

Socks and tights are fairly small items of clothing; they easily get tangled and lost. Simply putting them neatly in a drawer is not enough. We recommend stocking up on special storage cases or making them yourself. Coffers are cardboard boxes with sections, each of which holds one item of clothing.

Different ways to store tights

Having chosen the option of folding the products, you need to decide on the method of storing them. There are a lot of them too.

Packages

Housewives have accumulated experience using a variety of packages. This may be the packaging in which the products were purchased. The filled packaging can be neatly placed on a closet shelf or in a chest of drawers.

Voluminous woolen tights are placed in a plastic T-shirt bag and sent in this form to the closet.

Tip: Using vacuum bags is more expensive, but will save space. Products are placed in such a bag for long-term storage.

Organizers

The industry offers special storage containers.
The advantage of such boxes, divided into cells, is that they allow you to use the right thing without searching for it for a long time. And a pair of tights pulled out of the organizer will not disturb the order in the closet. Hanging organizers are very convenient. They can be mounted on the cabinet door or on its crossbar.

On hangers

Tights on a hanger are not a mistake. Of course, they don't hang like dresses or jackets. The hosiery is tied on the hanger bar. This is convenient, since the pair you need is immediately visible.

In the dresser drawer

Rolls of tights are very convenient for storing in a drawer . If you place them closely together, you can fit a lot of products into the box. And to keep your drawer organized, you should purchase a separator.

How to fold children's tights

The material from which children's tights are made is denser. If they lie haphazardly in the closet and take up a lot of space, then finding the necessary PNI is quite difficult. Before folding, children's knitwear is sorted by degree of use.

Everyday clothes are placed in a separate box, and those worn on special occasions are placed separately. Children grow up quickly, and some things become too small for them. It is better to remove them from the closet to free up space.

You can fold children's tights compactly according to the following scheme:

  1. Lay out the CNI on a flat surface and remove the folds.
  2. The top with elastic band is wrapped about 8 cm.
  3. Connect the bottom part with socks.
  4. Roll up in the form of a roller to the top.
  5. Then the elastic is turned out from one edge and the roll is fixed.

So it is necessary to fold all the children's things and place them in a box in a stack or vertically.

How to fold tights

It would seem that tights do not take up much space in the chest of drawers, but they are constantly tangled with stockings, which causes irritation and confusion when searching for the right thing.
To prevent this from happening, you need to fold them correctly. There are at least three ways to fold tights compactly. Method one. You need to fold the tights in half along the line of symmetry, then roll them tightly into a roller, starting from the bottom. On the outside there will be a belt with an elastic band. Now you need to pull the belt, turn it out and wrap it around one side of the roller. The roller will close tightly and will not unfold.

Method two. Roll up the tights lengthwise and place them in a large box. The box can be covered with a lid and installed at the bottom of the cabinet. Or even in the corner of the room.

Method three. Drawer dividers will help make storage even more compact. They are easy to make from hard cardboard, giving the individual cells any convenient shape and size. It is more difficult to make dividers from plywood or wooden planks, but they will be more reliable. Ready-made plastic dividers can be purchased at the supermarket.

How to fold women's tights

You can fold a piece of women's clothing in several ways: with a roller or a rectangle. It is convenient to store tights rolled up.

How to roll tights with a roller

One of the simplest ways to fold a women's accessory is to roll a pair with a roller:

  1. The knitted product is laid out lengthwise on a flat surface to avoid wrinkles.
  2. Connect along the seam line.
  3. Then fold it in half several times.
  4. Starting from the socks and up to the top, make a roll in the form of a roller.
  5. The belt is turned onto a roll for fixation.

Place them in a designated place in a stack or each roll separately, depending on the storage method. Keep separately from socks or other children's clothing. This method is compact, everything takes up little space. This is convenient for traveling when every centimeter of space in a suitcase counts.

Rolled rollers can be stored in any convenient way

How to beautifully fold tights into a rectangle

This method is time-saving and suitable if tights are constantly used. You can sort everything by pattern and color or fold it into a rectangle in the following way:

  1. Stockings are folded along the seam, both parts of the product should fit evenly to each other.
  2. Straighten it so that there are no folds.
  3. Connect socks with a belt.
  4. Then the bottom part from the top.

Rectangles can be made larger or smaller

Continue the process to the desired size rectangle. Tights can be stacked one on top of the other. The method is convenient if there is only one cell in the box.

How to store tights in a roll

The technology is similar to rolling with a roller. But it is used when the season for using knitwear ends. The accessory will not be needed until next fall. To save space, everything can be folded into a roll:

  1. Check appearance. If there are arrows, the jersey is thrown away. Put aside with slight puffs; it can be used in winter under boots and coats. In ideal condition, sorted separately.
  2. The next stage is to fold all the sorted items separately, first along the seam, then on top of each other.
  3. Fold it in half, roll it from the socks to the waistband, and secure the structure with the top of one pair.

The result will be two rolls. They are placed in a designated place or placed in a packaging bag and put away in a dresser drawer or on a closet shelf.

Each roll is placed in a separate cell

How to fold tights using Konmari

The Konmari method of unloading space cluttered with unnecessary things is now quite popular. The Japanese woman showed the whole world how to maximize the optimization of storage space for underwear, bedding, and personal clothing. Often, tights lie in a dresser drawer, simply tied in a knot, haphazardly. To find the right thing, you have to go through everything, and new puffs are not excluded in the process.

For installation you will need narrow boxes; you can make them yourself from boxes or purchase ready-made ones. You can add up the available PNI as follows:

  1. All products are taken out of the box, examined for arrows, and those unsuitable for subsequent use are thrown away.
  2. Boxes are placed in the vacant space, close to each other.
  3. ChNI are sorted by color and density.
  4. Take the first item and lay it out lengthwise. Connected at the seam.
  5. The upper part in the waist area is bent to the height of the box, thus creating a pocket.
  6. Then the tights must be folded several times so that the width is the same as the upper part.
  7. The finished stack is placed in a pocket and carefully distributed.
  8. A fixed quadrangle is obtained, the first CHNIs are placed vertically in the box.

Thus, it is necessary to add up all female CHNIs. As a result, it will be noticeable how irrationally the space was used.

Advice! To make it easy to navigate, thin products are placed separately from denser ones.

How to fold stockings

You can fold stockings in the same way as tights:

  1. The pair are carefully placed on top of each other.
  2. Then, starting with the socks, make a roll, you get a roller. The upper part of one stocking is turned up and the roller is fixed.
  3. You can fold the stockings into a rectangle of any convenient size.
  4. The upper part of the pair is connected to the lower and so on several times.

Stockings are folded with a roller or in any convenient way

How to fold tights for storage

There are several ways:

  • roller;
  • rectangle;
  • roll.

Each method will help extend the time of use of this wardrobe item.

Roller storage method

This option is suitable for those who want to save space and extend the use of tights.

The tights are folded along the seam line and rolled tightly, starting from the heels. The final stage is the belt. We pull the belt, wrapping it around the roller. It turns out to be a kind of ball. It is very dense and will not allow the product to unfold.

Advice. This method is suitable for travel. Tights take up minimal space in your suitcase and do not get confused with other things.

Fold into a rectangle

This method is one of the most optimal. Products can be sorted by color, then finding the right pair will be much easier.
We begin to fold the nylon tights along the seam and carefully straighten them. Then fold it in half twice. It turns out to be a small rectangle. It takes up minimal space on the shelf, does not get confused with other products and retains its aesthetic appearance for a long time.

Rolling a roll

An option for those who like compactness. The procedure is similar to the roller storage option. Fold the tights along the seam line and roll up tightly. You can store such rolls on a shelf in a closet or chest of drawers, or using special organizers.

Storing children's tights

Special attention is paid to children's wardrobe.
Regular changes of wardrobe due to the rapid growth of the child require proper storage of things. Children's tights take up a large amount of wardrobe space. They are bought for a specific season, can be insulated or for use with overalls and dresses.

You can avoid confusion and extend the wear period in the following ways:

  • twist a roller or roll;
  • store each pair in small bags;
  • organizer You can make them yourself using a spacious shoe box, cardboard and scissors;
  • wall pockets. Sew small bags and store them on a hanger in the children's room or closet.

Important! Simple storage options and proper care will help extend the life of use and maintain a neat appearance.

Homemade organizers

If you have the desire and skill, you can save money and make a creative organizer with your own hands. Take a cardboard box, for example, from a laptop, and make partitions in it from cardboard, plywood, or even wallpaper left over from renovation. If you have things made of delicate materials, for example, lace underwear, then the container should be covered with a beautiful soft fabric.

The compartment for bras should be 30-40 cm, with this distance you can avoid folding them

This is important, since not all models can be folded cup to cup. There will be enough space for panties of 5*5 cm, since they can be folded compactly without worrying that they will lose their original shape

It is very convenient to store small wardrobe items in the drawers and drawers

How to fold socks: 4 beautiful ways

There are many tricks and ways to fold socks beautifully. And everyone probably has one favorite. But one thing is another, but it’s beautiful when it’s beautiful and ergonomic.

Since there are different socks: there are short sports socks, there are socks for open shoes, and there are tall thick socks with a wide elastic band, then the way they are folded may be slightly different:

For 1. The lazy way
Even a small child can learn to roll socks this way, since the method is quite simple and, most importantly, fast.

Instructions:

  • take a pair so that their elastic bands, heels and front are together;
  • take the products by the elastic bands and turn them outward so that one ends up in the other, but not all the way;
  • In the end, it should turn out that the socks are held together only with elastic bands. This method is perfect for those couples who have an elastic band, but folding high sports models below the ankle this way is not very convenient.
Method 2. Let's roll this
There is also nothing in the ball method:
  • complex things are put together;
  • the elastic band of the upper sock is folded;
  • A roll is rolled from the sock to the elastic, leaving the elastic free, which is then put on the resulting ball and fixes it. It is difficult to roll a sock into a ball, but the question is: how to store it like this in a sock? It is impossible to stack the balls on a shelf, so it is best to store them Such parts are small in a drawer.
Method 3. Inside out
Very convenient when the sock is in the sock: it’s so difficult for them to get lost.
  • We fold the products and divide them together visually into three parts;
  • fold one edge towards the middle, wrap it together with the elastic towards the middle;
  • We “hug” the folded pair with an elastic band and get a neat rectangle that can be placed on a closet shelf.
Method 4. Square
For those who love high socks with a pattern, this method will especially appeal to you:
  • folds the socks crosswise, the cross of the heel of the bottom one looks up, and the heel of the top one looks down;
  • we wrap one side of the lower middle to the sock and place the edge under the upper one;
  • the sock is the same with the elastic of the lower product: we pull it towards the middle and stretch it a little so that the elastic sticks out;
  • in the same way we wrap the top one, tipping the sock edge into the middle;
  • We carefully tuck the protruding rubber bands.

Solving the problem of storing tights and method: 4 stockings

Thigh stockings, knee socks and tights are more voluminous products, which means that they need to be rolled up in places, and more of them are unlikely to be made into a ball. In this case, it’s worth using your wits a little and thinking about their ergonomic distribution in the wardrobe.

An interesting method was proposed by the Japanese Kondo Marie: hosiery items are folded several times and placed edgewise.

So they are laid out one by one in a row in a drawer or with low walls from the box.

Folding tights in this way is quite simple, and, most importantly, you can place a large number of products in even a small drawer without having to find what you need.

Method 3
Just like long socks and stockings, tights can be tightly rolled up and placed in a drawer.

If there are a lot of products, they can be placed close to each other, then they will not unwind, or several layers can be folded.

Method 4
Tights can be tied in a knot and stored this way even on a regular shelf.

To store hosiery items, use transparent boxes: you can see all the contents in them and you can easily understand where a particular item is located

Handling and storing tights: do's and don'ts

What to do:

Always handle your tights with extreme care and respect. Make sure that your nails are not chipped, as these areas are like a magnet for the thin fabric of your tights and stockings, leaving unsightly snags on them. You can even moisturize your hands with cream or water to prevent dry skin from damaging your tights.

What to do:

Try using a pair of special knit gloves to carefully handle tights and stockings to completely protect them from snagging jewelry, nails and skin.

What not to do:

Do not store tights next to rough fabrics such as lace, or bras and belts. Bra hooks and belt pins are the mortal enemies of your thin stockings and tights, and delicate-looking lace is just waiting to damage thinner fabrics.

What not to do:

Be careful not to allow your tights to become tangled with other pairs during storage. The inevitable snagging, excessive tension and stretching that follows increases the risk of arrowheads and deformation.

Now you know how to store tights and keep them safe, so you can enjoy your favorite pairs longer. Do you have your own tips on how to best store tights and stockings? Help others and share your ideas in the comments!

How to fold nylon socks

Nylon socks, stockings and tights can be folded by rolling them into a tube and securing them with an upper elastic band (cuff). The peculiarity of nylon tights and socks is that they need to be rolled loosely to avoid stretching and loss of shape. There are additional useful tips:

  • sort by color and size;
  • prepare a storage space (shoe boxes, transparent plastic trays, bags);
  • sort by density.

This saves time searching for the right pair. Nylon socks, stockings or tights do not take up much space if folded correctly.

How to neatly fold tights in a closet

The ideal option would be to allocate a separate shelf in the closet or drawer in the chest of drawers for storing tights. Together with them you can place socks, knee socks or stockings, folded no less compactly.

Organizers

Special organizers with small sections are suitable for storing tights.
You can do this yourself. For this you will need an old shoe box and cardboard. Cut out small strips of cardboard corresponding to the height of the box and cut them. Other strips are inserted into the cuts. It turns out to be an excellent box with a lot of compartments. This box can be placed on a shelf in a closet. Also suitable for storing socks and underwear.

Packaged

A good option is to fold it back into the packaging. For example, tights can be folded into a rectangle and neatly packed. This will help maintain the appearance of the product, the tights will not get tangled with each other and will not tear.

The packages can be placed edgewise, folded in a chest of drawers or on a closet shelf.

This method is very convenient and takes up minimal space . Another advantage is that there will be no questions or unnecessary hassle when choosing a denser product.

In bags or pouches

Storage in fabric bags is distinguished by its efficiency and simplicity .
You can sew fabric bags yourself using a sewing machine, with minimal time investment. You can use regular bags. After washing, carefully fold and sort the items. This option will help avoid damage and maintain a good appearance. You can store the bags in a chest of drawers or closets, depending on your personal preferences.

Tights are an important element and main accessory of a woman's wardrobe. Following simple rules of care, washing and a few storage nuances will help prolong their neat appearance and increase their useful life.

How to fold underwear

The lingerie category includes not only panties and bras, but also items such as long warm winter underwear and petticoats.

In my professional experience, underwear is the first thing my clients look to replace when they finish decluttering. Lingerie may not be visible from the outside, but you should turn your “joy sensor” to maximum when choosing what to keep from this category, because it comes into direct contact with your body. Unpretentious, practical items that make you happy because they keep you warm or comfortable are the kind of clothes that bring joy.

How to fold panties. When folding panties that are made of light and thin material, you should reduce their size as much as possible. The most delicate part is the gusset, so it is tucked inside and embellishments, such as the bow at the center of the waistband, are folded so they are visible from the outside.

Start by laying a pair of panties flat with the back side up, and place the gusset up, just short of the waistband. Fold in the sides so that the gusset is inside, then roll up the panties, starting from the bottom. When you turn them over, they should be shaped like a spring roll so that only the front of the waistband is visible.

Smooth and silky undergarments, such as petticoats, will not hold their shape when folded but can be folded and then rolled.

If your underwear is made of thin material that unfolds as soon as you're done folding it, it's best to store it in a smaller box. A tissue box works well - it's the same width as your underpants. One tissue box contains about seven pairs. Of course, another box will do as long as it meets two requirements: it fits your undies and it brings you joy.

Panties like thongs don't hold their shape when folded, so it's best to store them in a small box or nestle them between other items of clothing that will support them.

Rolling cotton or other thick fabric will only make it thicker and take up more space. It's better to just fold it.

For boxers and briefs: fold the sides over the middle to create a rectangle, then fold in half, then in thirds. Any other laundry should be folded and stored like regular clothing.

Bags

Compactly storing many bags of different shapes and sizes with insufficient space is difficult.

Instructions:

  1. Empty bags, wallets, and backpacks of their internal contents.
  2. Unfasten the straps, roll them up and place them inside.
  3. Place soft leather bags in covers; old pillowcases will do. Can be placed in backpacks, large travel bags, suitcases.
  4. Place wallets, clutches, man purses in one large bag, and wrap if necessary.
  5. Rag, knitted, woven and other soft bags can be folded into one backpack, bag, box.
  6. Place on the mezzanine or upper cabinet shelves.

A great place for bags is at the bottom of the wardrobe. This space is often left unused. For convenience, you can attach hooks to the wall at a level of 0.5 meters from the ground.

How to fold socks and tights

When you put on socks with holes or tights with drawstrings when getting ready for work, you seem to be declaring that today doesn’t really matter. House socks are no less important, because they provide you with contact with home. That's why order in your drawer with socks and tights is no less important than beautifully hung blouses.

Collect not only the socks and tights you currently use, but also all supplies that are still stored in factory packaging. If you have a lot of them, sort them into categories: socks, thin tights, thick tights and leggings.

Rolling socks and tights into a ball or tying them in knots is cruel. Please stop this practice today!

How to fold socks. Place your socks next to each other and fold them as many times as necessary, depending on the length of the sock. If you want to teach kids how to fold things, this simple item is a great place to start.

How to fold tights. First, fold the “legs” of the tights one on top of the other, then grab the toes and fold the tights in thirds. Finally, roll them up like a sushi roll and stand them up. Since tights unfold easily, it is best to place them in a box with dividers and then put it away in a drawer.

How to fold thick tights. Although thick tights have the same shape as thin tights, if they are very thick, fold them like pants instead of rolling them up like stockings. Thin tights are only rolled up because they won't fold properly. If you roll up thick tights and find that the roll is thick or stiff, this is a sign that they would prefer to be folded.

How to fold

How to compactly fold tights for storage? The most convenient way is to roll them up. Fold the pair in half and twist, starting from the toes. Another way is to fold them in half, then in half again.

We recommend: 5 proven knitting tips to prevent the ball from running away

If fiddling with panniers and dividers is not your thing, then try organizing tights in your closet according to the method of Japanese cleaning and storage expert Marie Kondo. Roll the products into balls and place them vertically. This way, when you remove one pair, things will not fall in a chain reaction. Vertical storage is convenient and correct, as opposed to folding clothes in a stack and especially tying clothes in a knot (this looks unsightly and spoils the fibers of the products).

Nylon tights are so thin that they will not always stand upright when rolled. It is better to equip them with a separate mini-case or hanging section.

Rules for storing tights

It is better to store women's nylon tights and stockings separately from children's things. For these purposes, use a closet, chest of drawers, dressing room.

Properly folded tights in a drawer will take up less space, making it easier to find

Features of storing tights

As a rule, a woman constantly lacks time for herself, especially in the morning. When everything in the wardrobe is in its place, the savings are significant; there is no need to turn over a pile of other clothes to get stockings. And a quickly found item only solves the problem when packing.

Also, improper storage shortens the life of the product. Thin knitwear rips easily when it comes into contact with a tough material, such as a bra clasp, if the items are placed on the same shelf or in a dresser drawer.

Children's tights take up a lot of space if they are not folded. They become wrinkled, and a child in such clothes looks unkempt.

A few life hacks on how to store tights in the closet:

  • for tights, a separate place is designated in a dresser drawer, dressing room, linen closet;
  • each item can simply be folded in several ways, using hanging sections or trunks - these are boxes with a compartment;
  • exclusive collections are stored packaged, separately from items of daily use;
  • can be laid compactly, according to color and pattern.

Advice! A convenient device for storing hosiery items (CHI) are organizers with a closing top.

The device is placed in any place designated for knitwear, things are distributed into the cells, and a lid is placed on top.

How not to fold jeans

You cannot follow some rules and ignore others.

You should pay attention to the prohibited manipulations of folding and storing pants in order to avoid unnecessary creases and the appearance of contrasting stripes:

  • do not throw jeans into the closet without folding them;
  • avoid bending near seams;
  • fold into a rectangle, no diagonals;
  • Do not put wet items in the closet.

It is not difficult to follow the rules so that further use of clothing is pleasant. Having opened a closet, you always want to quickly find what you need and put it on, rather than rummaging through a pile of wrinkled “rags.” It's worth spending 2 minutes at the beginning to enjoy a free 15 minutes at the end.

Video instructions on how to quickly fold jeans (pants):

It’s easy to spend a significant amount of money in a store on the perfect pair of jeans, but how to properly care for them afterwards is not always clear (machine wash, don’t wash, hand wash, or even don’t wash at all)

We have collected twelve really useful tips that will help extend the life of your favorite jeans, no matter if they cost 50 or 2 thousand rubles

1. True denim connoisseurs know that jeans made from thick denim (“raw denim”) cannot be washed for six months. They must first fit according to the figure, and then beautiful abrasions form on them, they will be different for each person, this is the “trick” of this model. Until jeans have aged beautifully, they cannot be washed.

2. You don’t need to immediately wash jeans you bought in a store. The manufacturer already washed them during production. So you should put a couple in the machine when it gets dirty.

3. It is not necessary to wash jeans if the fabric has absorbed an unpleasant odor, such as tobacco smoke. You can hang your jeans in the bathroom before showering (the steam will freshen them up), or freeze them in a plastic bag and keep them in the refrigerator for two days (yes, this method really works).

4. To prevent jeans from losing their brightness, you need to wash them first, turning them inside out in cold water on a delicate cycle or by hand.

5. Add 1/2 cup of distilled white vinegar during the rinse process if you are washing black jeans to help them retain color better.

6. If you use an electric dryer, dry your jeans on the lowest setting. When the jeans are only slightly damp, hang them on a line to dry, they will better retain their original shape.

7. Learn to fold jeans the way they are usually folded on a store counter. Reach your hand into each pocket and straighten it out. You won't be able to fold your jeans neatly if the pockets are bulging or sticking out. Grab your jeans by the waist and shake them a couple of times to smooth out any noticeable wrinkles. Place one pant leg next to the other. Fold the jeans so that the seams are on the outside, otherwise they may become wrinkled. You can fold your jeans so that either the front pockets or the back pockets touch each other. Fold your jeans in half or thirds, depending on how much space you have in your closet. If you have enough space, fold them in half and smooth them out with your hand. If you need to fold your jeans more compactly, fold them in thirds by first folding the legs in half, smoothing them out, and then placing them at the edge of the waistband.

8. Denim products need to “breathe,” so you shouldn’t cram many pairs onto one shelf. They should lie quite freely.

9. Wash your jeans twice before taking them to a tailor to have them shortened. They may shrink a lot during the first washes.

10. Jeans that are too tight can be stretched using an iron with a steam setting. They need to iron the waistband of their jeans. 11. If chewing gum is stuck to your jeans, do not try to tear it off immediately. Place the jeans in a plastic bag and put them in the freezer for an hour. Then scrape off the frozen gum with a kitchen knife or dull blade.

Or T-shirts so they wrinkle less? Probably yes. How to fold jeans? Hardly. Meanwhile, properly folded jeans have a lot of advantages. This article describes the most convenient and practical way to store trousers and jeans, as well as how to fold them.

How to store swimsuits

Now that the summer season has passed, and you do not plan to visit swimming pools, ponds, or rivers, you need to take care of one more essential wardrobe item - swimsuits.

I wash the swimsuit thoroughly and dry it so that dampness does not cause fungus or mold to develop and ruin the clothes. For storage, it is better to use a fabric bag or a vacuum bag, but under no circumstances use a plastic bag. Moisture may accumulate in the bag, and the swimsuit may lose color and become damp. Swimwear should be stored on a separate shelf in the closet, in a separate drawer of the chest of drawers.

When storing swimsuits, it is important to maintain a constant air temperature and also avoid high humidity. If you have several swimsuits, you can store them side by side

But at the same time, panties are stored separately, and bras separately.

Useful tips

To extend the life of a women's wardrobe item made of thin nylon threads, it is recommended to follow several rules:

  • wash by hand without using aggressive chemicals;
  • do not dry on heating devices or in direct sunlight;
  • avoid contact with chipped manicures and jewelry;
  • to avoid puffing, lubricate your hands with cream or use special gloves made of thin fabric;
  • store separately from items with hooks, zippers, or metal buttons.

Where can and cannot be stored socks?

The question of where to keep hosiery is purely individual and depends on the preferences and capabilities of a particular person. We can outline only a few rules that should be followed to properly organize your wardrobe:

  • Socks should be placed separately from other small items of clothing. First of all, this is a guarantee of your convenience and time saving. Searching for a pair of socks in a drawer among an endless array of gloves, hats, belts or underwear is not an easy task. In addition, in the morning it causes even more irritation;
  • socks do not “live” on the same shelf with large things like sweaters, T-shirts or jeans. They will constantly get lost under bulky items, get tangled in sleeves and pants;
  • It’s more convenient to store socks in a limited space: in a drawer, on a small shelf, in special compartments. If socks are thoughtlessly thrown onto a large shelf in a wardrobe, this will lead to chaos and disorder, which we want to avoid;
  • no need to stack anything on chairs, sofas or under the bed. It is better to send worn items to the wash, and put washed ones in a secluded place. Suddenly guests arrive unexpectedly, and you have socks scattered everywhere. First of all, it is unethical, since they are classified as underwear.

Advice! Get rid of single socks from time to time. Of course, the hope for the appearance of a second one is always the last to die, but practice shows that this happens quite rarely. In addition, the absence of incomplete pairs will greatly facilitate storage.

How to store

It is convenient to store folded tights in a dresser drawer, which is divided into a cell with special dividers. You can build such products yourself from cardboard or wood (ask a loved one or order from a carpenter), but it is much easier to buy plastic dividers at a hardware store, for example, IKEA - they are offered in different configurations and sizes.

If the tights are not rolled, but simply folded or wound on cardboard and placed in the packaging in which they were sold, then they can be stored in narrow boxes or translucent boxes specially designed for this purpose. The latter have windows - through them you can see what is inside without touching the lid.

Boxes and boxes are placed either in the same drawers of the chest of drawers, or in a closet on a shelf.

You can also use transparent snap bags or pouches to store tights.

Another option is to put the rolled tights in a wall pouch, which you can sew yourself or, again, buy at the store.
