Each device emits high sound frequencies that reflect off hard surfaces and create severe auditory stress for cockroaches. This prevents them from happily living and reproducing in your kitchen, so they go elsewhere. Blocks begin to push away immediately after connection.

1. Buy both ultrasonic and electromagnetic repellers.
2. Ultrasonic waves reflect off hard surfaces in a room and do not pass through walls, while electromagnetic energy penetrates walls. Essentially, electromagnetic waves pulse through the home along electrical circuits. Therefore, if you bought a device for ultrasound only, you will need to place it in every room. On the other hand, you can use one ultrasonic + electromagnetic repellent for every 300 meters if you have a large house.
3. Look for non-repeating waves so that cockroaches don't get used to the sound over time. Some cheaper products don't mention whether they emit repeating waves or not.

Researchers using higher quality ultrasonic generators have shown that sound can be effective in disrupting the mating or feeding habits of certain insects and animals. These generators, however, are several levels above any consumer-available device, which cannot reproduce complex sound patterns and prove to be largely useless.

They emit ultrasonic sounds at frequencies of 22-65 kHz. These sounds are too loud for the human ear to detect - much like a dog whistling.

Insects and other pests can hear them quite easily, though. For them, sounds are extremely annoying and they try to avoid them.

The controversy arises because during the first few weeks of use, pest activity actually increases because the sounds excite them and drive them out of their homes. After this, insect activity decreased sharply.

But if you choose this method of struggle, you need to approach ultrasonic testing not as a black or white proposition, but as a game of percentages. Play numbers and you will be happy. Want perfection, and nothing will satisfy you.
