Lemonade made from oranges and orange peels

Today we have waste-free production. So far, only the bones have been thrown away, but there are no plans to throw away anything else.

1. Prepare a meat grinder with a large grinding grid. Thanks to it, the mixture will not turn out in the form of porridge. There will be quite tangible pieces and a lot of juice. As a result, the cake can later be used as a pie filling.

Pass the chopped citrus fruits together with the peels through a meat grinder. You can also use a blender for this purpose. But in my opinion, this grinding produces more bitter notes in the drink. And this is completely useless.

2. Pour the resulting mixture with a liter of boiled and cooled water. Stir and leave to infuse in the kitchen. 15-20 minutes of time will be enough for this.

3. Then prepare a sieve and a large bowl. Pass the mixture through it, thereby separating the juice from the pulp. Next, we will only need the juice, and put the remaining crusts into a container and put them in the refrigerator. Let them bide their time.

4. The concentrated juice turned out to be a little more than a liter, but if you try it, you can feel that there is not enough sweetness. Add sugar to your taste. It's hot here and we don't want too much sweet lemonade. That's why I add the bare minimum. The drink will taste very similar to Sprite. If you want to get Fanta, then add more.

Stir the sand until it is completely dissolved.

5. Cut the orange, which was prepared separately, into half circles and place in a carafe. There is no need to peel the crusts. Pour half of the resulting concentrated juice into it. Then pour in another half liter of sparkling mineral water, or regular chilled water, and mix everything.

The lemonade is ready. It can be placed in the refrigerator for additional cooling. Or you can submit it right away. We remember that we froze ice for this.

Place the remaining concentrate in the refrigerator. If you do not use it on the first day, it can be stored for another two days.

6. To serve, prepare tall glasses. Fill them 1/3 full with ice.

Then pour the resulting chilled drink. Serve with a straw and a slice of orange. Or put a few slices in a glass. It will not only be tasty, but also beautiful.

This is how you can quickly and easily prepare a delicious drink. And spend very little time on it. I usually do it in the morning. During the day, at any time, anyone can “dive” into the refrigerator and quench their thirst. At the same time, be 100% sure that the product is made natural, without any dyes or preservatives.

And it turns out even tastier than its store-bought counterparts.

Homemade drink made from oranges and lemons

Oranges and lemon are thoroughly rinsed and scalded with boiling water. The peel is removed, the seeds and partitions are removed.

Only the pulp remains, from which the juice is squeezed out using gauze. Or you can use a juicer to extract.

Citrus peels should not be thrown away. You need to cut them into pieces and place them in boiling water with sugar for 10 minutes.

Strain the resulting juice. Freshly squeezed citrus juice is added to the resulting syrup and mixed thoroughly.

All that remains is to let the lemonade brew and cool it.

Turkish lemonade made from frozen oranges and lemons

Another option for making Turkish lemonade. We freeze citrus fruits in order to remove the bitterness from citrus fruits. At the same time, they are cold, which will give coolness to the drink, instead of ice.

But after pouring into glasses, you can add a few ice cubes to keep the drink refreshing for a long time.

We will need:

  • Water - 2.5 - 3 l;
  • Oranges - 2 - 3 pcs.;
  • Sugar - 150 g;
  • Lemon juice (lemon) - 2 teaspoons (or juice of 1/2 lemon).

Step 1.

First of all, cut the oranges into 4 parts, then each can be halved. We do the same with lemon. If you come across bones, it is better to remove them.

You don't have to use lemon; you can use fresh juice instead.

Now we put everything in the freezer until completely frozen.

By the way, you can freeze a larger volume at once in order to make this drink whenever you want. If, of course, the freezer capacity allows)))

Step 2.

When the citrus fruits are frozen and you want to make Turkish lemonade, take the oranges and lemon out of the refrigerator and let them thaw a little and soften.

Step 3.

Then grind it into a paste with a blender, along with the skin (the bitterness goes away when frozen).

Step 4.

Transfer the pulp into a jug, add sugar and pour hot boiled water. Mix all this until the sugar dissolves, close the jug and put it in the refrigerator for 2 hours.

You can do it in less time if you really want to drink)))

If you did not use fresh lemon, then add lemon juice along with water in front of the refrigerator.

Step 5.

When the drink is infused, taste it and dilute it with water if necessary. We also check the sweetness right away, in case it needs to be added. Afterwards we pour it and rejoice)))

Fill everything with cold water and gas. Add slices of lemon, pepper and all the cucumbers with the resulting sugar syrup.

Gourmet drink

There is another interesting recipe for orange lemonade.

To prepare it, you need to take one orange and one lemon, 250 g of orange juice (freshly squeezed), 1 glass of sugar and 2 glasses of water.

  • You need to peel the zest from one fourth of the lemon, add it to a container where water and sugar are mixed, and boil.
  • Then simmer over low heat for another 5 minutes, remove from heat, cool and strain the resulting syrup.
  • Then add orange cut into slices, juice and ice cubes. Orange lemonade is ready to drink!
  • If you don't really like the citrus bitterness that the zest gives, you can remove it from the syrup immediately after it boils.

Naturally, lemonade can be made not only from oranges. Lemons add richness and piquant sourness to this drink. The combination of these two citrus fruits makes the lemonade even more fortified and aromatic.

Useful tips

How to choose oranges and what to pay attention to:

  1. When choosing oranges, the appearance of the oranges plays a big role. It is advisable to choose fruits without visible traces of mechanical stress and insect influence. The surface of the orange should be clean and slightly bumpy.
  2. Large fruits brought from Spain will make an excellent dessert, but Moroccan and Egyptian ones are smaller, but no less sweet, and such fruits are more suitable for lemonade.
  3. The thicker the orange peel, the easier it is to remove.
