Candy washing machine how to set the temperature

Main features of Candy washing machines

Candy washing machines are of Italian origin. They began production in 1945. Their development was so rapid that already at the end of the last century the brand was popular both in Europe and far beyond its borders. The main advantages of the units are their low price, along with an impressive range of models and positive technical characteristics. There are vertical machines that can hold up to 7 kg of things, there are compact ones, with a height of no more than 70 cm, and there are full-size ones - with a maximum number of modes and large capacity.

These washing machines are easy to operate, offer a wide range of options and do not consume a lot of water and electricity.

What to do if the machine does not start?

If the Kandy machine you just brought from the store does not start, there may be some kind of malfunction. Don’t worry ahead of time, first check if the electrical outlet to which the washing machine is connected is working. If the outlet is working, be sure to call the service center. If you have a correctly completed warranty card, you have every right to service repairs.

To avoid problems with warranty repairs, under no circumstances open the machine body yourself. This will lead to loss of warranty on the equipment. The only correct way out is to call a technician from the service center. The center's telephone number can be found in the warranty card.

Candy washing machine modes

Before you start working with the Kandy washing machine, you need to decipher the meanings of the symbols on the panel and become familiar with all the features of the modes. Depending on the model, the user is offered programs:

  • Aqua-plus. Designed to completely rid the item of detergents and involves double rinsing.
  • Intensive Aimed at removing serious contaminants using high heating rates and maximum speed.
  • Delayed start. Allows you to set the start time for the next day. Before selecting a mode, the laundry must be placed in the drum, the powder must be poured into the container and then the start time must be specified.
  • Rinsing. It is an additional program and allows you to better clean things from used detergents.
  • Soak. Suitable for very dirty items and provides two wash cycles. A low level of heat is used and the powder is poured into two containers at once.
  • Wool. Designed for delicate woolen products, it is characterized by low heating temperatures and low speed of rotation.
  • Express wash. Allows you to quickly refresh things in half an hour. Characterized by high drum rotation speed.
  • Super wash. Consumes a small amount of electricity and is used only for cotton and synthetic materials.
  • Super rinse. Used for children's products or items intended for allergy sufferers. This is how the Candy washing device ensures complete removal of detergent from laundry and clothes.
  • Working with durable fabrics. Suitable for products made of cotton, linen, hemp, characterized by the use of a temperature of 90 degrees.
  • Wash in cold water. For very delicate fabrics and is an alternative to hand washing.
  • Sport. Designed for synthetic sportswear and shoes.
  • Conditioning. Includes the use of conditioners, softening and flavoring agents.
  • No drain. Recommended for items for which spinning is prohibited.
  • Combined wash. Allows you to wash items from different fabrics and materials in one go.

When selecting a mode, the Candy Smart washing machine focuses on the type of fabric. There are four signs on its panel:

  • Durable fabrics – intensive processing with intermediate spinning.
  • Synthetic and combined - selects the number of revolutions and the amount of water so that the result is ideal.
  • Delicate - more water is used and several long pauses are made during the work.
  • Wool – minimal mechanical impact with strong rinsing.

Separately, it is worth dwelling on the powder receptacle compartments. All used detergents must be placed in it. Throwing powder onto clothing can harm both the device and the item itself. Candy washing machines have three compartments:

  1. The compartment marked with the letter B is used in basic operating modes and is intended for dry or liquid powder.
  2. The container marked with the letter A is used in the “soaking” mode, when the process uses two cleaning stages.
  3. A container with a picture of a flower is intended for liquid conditioners, rinses and fragrances.

Loading detergents

The quality of washing largely depends on the detergents used. Since there are a huge number of them, before use you should sort out what should be added and how. For this purpose, Candy washing machines have special containers (also called trays or hoppers), which are located in the upper left part. Depending on the model, they can have from 2 to 4 compartments. Such internal separation is necessary to supply the product exactly at the moment when it is needed, and not all at once.

The Aquamatic model has only two compartments:

If the laundry detergent is difficult to wash out, you can use a special container and run it along with the laundry in the drum (sold together with household chemicals). It is not recommended to simply pour powders into the drum, since they are distributed unevenly, remain in the fibers after rinsing, and in high concentrations can affect the fabric - change its structure or color.

Modernized models like Activa Smart have more compartments:

In any case , the detergent container must be washed periodically, otherwise mold or mildew may grow in it, which can also cause an unpleasant odor. Usually it is quite easy to remove completely, but in some cases it may require effort and skill. All parts must be washed with soda solution and rinsed with running water.

As a preventative measure, after each wash it is better to leave the container open until completely dry and remove any remaining powder.

Starting the washing machine

Before starting the Candy washing machine, you must carefully sort your laundry into black, white and colored. Then separate cotton, synthetic and wool items from each other. All of them must be washed separately. Combined loading of cotton and synthetics into the drum is permissible only if a combined mode is selected. Before loading clothes into the machine, fasten clothing with buttons, zippers, or snaps. If items have stubborn stains, pre-treat them with a stain remover. Do not place bras, or items with beads, rhinestones, beads, or other small decorative trim into the machine.

When all the clothes are placed in the drum, close the lid tightly. When using one of the Candy programs, indicating temperature, speed and other indicators is not required. Mode parameters can be adjusted using selector switches. Add powder and, if necessary, additional products to the containers: conditioner, stain remover, etc. When all stages have been completed, press the “start” button.

If, after starting work, you need to stop the process, you should cancel the program by setting the selector to “OFF”. Then you should change the mode and press “start”. Or you can press the “Pause” button when the door is unlocked, take out or put things in, close the drum and press start.

How to choose a mode?

The set of modes for washing clothes in all machines is approximately the same. For simpler equipment, an optimal set of the most basic ones has been compiled; in more advanced models, the choice is a little wider. All information about the capabilities of the washing machine is contained in the instructions, but, as a rule, the control panels are designed in such a way that they can be understood intuitively.

The desired program is set by turning the switch, after which the indicator light lights up or information appears on the display. In some models, you must additionally set the temperature before doing this. Typically, modes are focused on a specific type of material:

In Candy Activa Smart, the program time can be reduced by pressing the button corresponding to the “Super Speed” function. Additional modes include “Hand Wash” at low temperature and with a slow, gentle spin. The Eco-Wash mode is suitable for different types of fabrics. “Ultra-fast washing program”, “special rinse” and “intensive spin” speak for themselves . At the same time, the smart washing machine itself controls the volume of water and the rhythm, adjusting these parameters to the material of the laundry and its weight.

If any concerns arise during the washing process, some parameters (for example, the number of spin speeds) can be changed. To do this, click on “Start”, then make changes and click the above button again.

The selected program can be canceled completely by pressing the start key and turning the device to the “Off” position. After resetting the settings, you can install a new mode and start it.

Operating rules for Candy washing machines

Attention! In order for the Kandy Smart washing machine to serve for a long time without breakdowns or problems, it requires proper care:

  • Load the drum completely, avoiding overload. This can cause breakdown of the entire mechanism.
  • Use emollients.
  • Mainly use modes with rpm of 600 - 700. Frequent use of modes with 800 rpm or more on Candy washing mechanisms leads to rapid failure of the oil seal and bearings.
  • After each wash, wipe the glass and open the detergent container for 15 to 20 minutes. This will ventilate the Candy car, reduce the likelihood of damage to the rubber of the hatch and prevent liquid from getting under the cuffs.
  • Always unplug your device. Otherwise, during possible surges in the power supply, the power supply will overheat and fail.
  • Once a season, do a dry wash using a descaling agent and turning on a high temperature setting. This will clean all parts of the device from blockages and the negative effects of solid deposits.

Final recommendations for using Kandy washing machines

Washing machines from the Italian manufacturer Candy are distinguished by their versatility, functionality, ease of operation and a wide range of models along with their low price.

The main modes are supplemented by many additional ones, which allows you to wash children's clothes, products for allergy sufferers, delicate fabrics, work in intensive mode and refresh things in half an hour. The mechanism also allows you to delay the start or wash together items that differ in their composition and characteristics.

The manufacturer took care of its customers and provided them with the opportunity to quickly determine the causes of problems using codes displayed on the display. Their decoding is included in each instruction manual for the device.

The most common causes of breakdowns in Candy washing machines are non-compliance with the operating rules of the unit, frequent failures in the power supply from the network, or initial incorrect installation of the machine.

Washing modes in the Candy washing machine

Italian Candy washing machines are attractive due to their combination of rich functionality, good performance characteristics and reasonable cost. Most of the buttons on the control panel have clear, generally accepted symbols - their meaning can be easily understood by the average user. And if any questions arise, then there is always an instruction at hand, in which there is a complete transcript of the entire “infographic.” But there are also a number of symbols that are not typical for other brands. Let's figure out what washing modes Candy machines have, what makes them special, and what icons to look for them under.

Kandy sign system

Many buyers are often attracted by the external picture - the design of the device. The “façade” is especially important. This is where the panel with buttons and switches, with a display and symbols is located. Equally important is the form in which programs and modes are presented. These can be inscriptions, icons, or a combination of both.

It is recommended to read the descriptions of the programs, and if they are presented in the form of symbols, decipher their meanings. Difficulties may arise if the inscriptions are made in a foreign language and there are no instructions in Russian. The language of signs is universal, it is understood by representatives of all nationalities. But not all symbols used by manufacturers are clear at first glance. Kandy also has obscure signs that require deciphering. Let's figure out what modes the Candy washing machine offers and how they are designated.

DesignationsDescriptionsTime, min

Bosch Maxx 5 manual

Let's look at an abbreviated version of the operating instructions for the Bosch maxx 5 washing machine, which will contain only basic information.

Correct installation of the machine

Bosch Maxx 5 washing appliances should be installed on a reinforced surface. It is worth noting that during the washing process the machine may move due to strong vibration. That is why the washing machine should be installed level. It’s even better to fix the body by additionally securing the legs.

It is important to note that washing equipment is heavy. Therefore, you need to be very careful when moving it from one place to another.

After unpacking the machine, you need to check the condition of the case. If damage is found, the equipment must be returned to the store. You don't even need to connect it to the mains.

If the body of the machine has no defects, then it can be installed. However, it is necessary to first prepare the place where the washing equipment will be located.

To do this you need to do the following:

Strengthen the floor. It is not at all necessary to make the floor perfectly level, because at the base of the washing machine there are twist-out legs with which you can adjust its position.

Organize the removal of sewerage and water pipes. You also need to install a moisture-resistant outlet for the washing machine.

Check the space in which the washing machine will be placed. The gap between objects located nearby should be at least 1 centimeter.

The fifth Bosch Maxx model contains special transport bolts on the rear wall. They secure the drum during transportation. They should be unscrewed before using the machine. These bolts need to be collected, but not thrown away. They may be needed in the future.

Then you need to plug the holes for the bolts. It is also necessary to remove the drain and fill hoses from the fixing fasteners. But this is done after moving the washing machine to the installation site.

Then you need to place a building level on the lid of the washer, and then unscrew its legs one by one until the machine is level. The deviation should not exceed 2 degrees.

Connect the drain hose to the sewer. It needs to be bent in such a way that water remains in the knee. Then no foreign odors from the sewer pipe will enter the machine. The best connection height is 60 centimeters.

Connect the inlet hose to the water pipe. This is done through a tee tap. The connections must be insulated with foam. The tee valve outlets must have a standard diameter (3⁄4 inches). Before screwing on the inlet hose, you must check that all rubber seals are present.

Do not connect washing equipment to a water supply with low water pressure. Checking the pressure is very simple. You need to open the tap and then count the number of liters of water that will flow out of the water supply in one minute. Must be at least 8 liters.

At the final stage, you need to plug in the washing machine. But first you need to check that the outlet is working properly. If you have doubts at this stage, it is better to contact an electrician. It is important that the outlet is grounded. It must also cope with the maximum load that the Bosch machine can create.

Positive characteristics include a high washing class (A), as well as spin class D. In the process of spinning washed items, the Bosch WAA 16171 washing machine is capable of performing 800 revolutions per minute. This is her maximum. After such a spin, the items are still quite damp, so they will need additional time to dry.

The diameter of the hatch where things are directly loaded is 30 centimeters. This is undoubtedly an advantage, since such a large hole radius allows you to insert/remove things without any difficulty. It will not be possible to place the Bosch WAA 16171 model in a narrow space.

This is due to the fact that things are loaded frontally, and not vertically. However, the presence of a smooth, even top surface can be used, for example, to store laundry detergents.

It is important to note that during operation the machine consumes a minimal amount of electrical energy. But it can consume about 50 liters of water. This model is perfect for those people who do not chase all the trends in the development of modern technology, or if it is not yet possible to purchase a more expensive model.

Bosch washing machine icons

If you write all the options in words on the control panel, it will be completely covered with inscriptions - this is inconvenient to read and complicates the search for the desired mode. So that the user can quickly find the desired function, associative pictures are used that make them think about a specific process.

The pictures are easy to remember, the main thing is that once you find out what they mean, it will be easy for your memory to choose the right option.

These include drawings that are used in all Bosch models:

  • Identification of the on/off button. It looks like a circle with a vertical line inside.
  • Wash. The picture is a basin half filled with water. There are many process options - manual, preliminary, delicate, express, economy.
  • Rinsing. Basin with water.
  • Spin. Twisted spiral. A choice of speeds is provided.

Items and types of fabrics

The mode is selected depending on the material of manufacture and purpose of the product:

A shirt hung on a hook is for synthetics. The duration of the program is determined by the drum load. Range - from half an hour to 1.5 hours. Water heating - up to 40 °C. Synthetic items washed in this mode are completely safe.

Floral dress and bodysuit. For cotton. Duration: 2 hours. Time varies depending on additional options selected. Maximum temperature: 90–95 °C.

Dress with a flower and trousers. Combined and quick wash. The duration is determined by the load on the drum and the model. So, Bosch classixx 5 machines wash in this mode for half an hour, and logixx 6 - 50 minutes. The maximum water heating in express mode is 50 °C.

Dress and bow tie. For thin fabrics. Suitable for wool and silk. Things are washed at 30 degrees, no more.

A hand lowered into a basin and a skein of wool. For washing delicate fabrics, especially wool.

Jeans. For denim. Duration - 40 min. In SMA classixx 5 - an hour and a half.

Shirt. For shirts and blouses. Wash at 40–60 degrees.

T-shirt. For sportswear. Temperature - 40 degrees.

Sliders. For children's things. The process takes place at high temperatures.

Special Features

Special functions are typical for one or another model of a washing machine manufactured by Bosch. These unique settings allow you not only to efficiently clean clothes from difficult to remove stains, but also to make this process faster. These functions are also designated quite simply and clearly. Washing machines like maxx 5, classixx, logixx have characteristic special functions:

  • Very dirty things. A particularly intensive type of cleaning is used, which can remove even the most complex stains from the surface of clothing.
  • Prewash. Before the main cleaning, items are pre-washed. This function helps to clean very soiled clothes more effectively.
  • Easy ironing. By choosing this program, you will prevent the formation of difficult-to-iron wrinkles on your clothes. This becomes possible due to the fact that the washing machine drum rotates at lower speeds, after which the process of ironing washed items will be more enjoyable.
  • Additional rinse. This program runs a second rinse after the main rinse to more effectively remove detergent residue from the fabric.

There is no doubt that the above features are useful. Thanks to them, you can not only determine the washing process, but also reduce the amount of water and electricity consumption.

Where should I put the laundry detergent?

As a rule, washing machines in the Bosch Maxx 5 line are equipped with universal powder receptacles. The only thing you need to remember is what each of the three compartments is needed for:

  1. The first one is quite easy to find by the indicated Roman numeral “I” or the letter “A”. Visually you can see that it is the largest in size. Most of the powder or washing gel is poured into it. It is important to note that its use is for pre-soak or pre-soak purposes only. Therefore, most consumers use it extremely rarely.
  2. The second compartment is usually indicated in blue or with an icon in the shape of a flower or star. It is intended for liquid rinse aid. The product is only removed during the rinsing process. Not all washing modes of the Bosch Maxx 5 washing machine are programmed to take in air conditioner during the second washing stage. Therefore, if after executing the program the product remains in the compartment, this does not always indicate that the program was not executed correctly. For example, in the “Down Jackets” mode, rinse aid is not used.
  3. The third compartment is considered the main one. It contains powder or liquid gel for all washing modes. You can also add a stain remover here.

Starting the wash

The Bosch Max washing machine requires preliminary preparation for use. During the very first wash, you should not load laundry into the drum, but you need to start it.

Let's look at a brief instruction with information on how to do it yourself:

How to set the mode?

Before starting the machine, the laundry should be sorted. Each group of items: cotton, synthetic, wool will have to be washed separately. If there is a combination wash mode, cotton can be put in the drum along with synthetics. Delicate fabrics and items that can be washed by hand are collected in a separate group. It is recommended to arrange the products by size. It is better to load large items separately from small ones to avoid imbalance.

If you choose an automatic program, you do not need to set the time and temperature - everything is already programmed. You can also set the basic mode and then adjust the settings using the selector switches.

By setting your washing machine according to the type of fabric and degree of soiling of the laundry you are preparing to wash, you will save time and resources. And most importantly, you will make your favorite things spotlessly clean and keep the fabric in its original form for a long time.

Is the machine “unpreserved”?

The first launch of the machine will go smoothly and without consequences if you follow the instructions. Therefore, the first step is to carefully study the user manual with the rules for operating the equipment. We immediately understand how to control the car: we decipher the icons on the dashboard, get acquainted with the modes and options.

Afterwards, prepare the machine for washing using the following steps:

Now in more detail on each point. Ideally, a washing machine should be installed by specialists. It's important to get it right

adjust the position of the housing and securely fasten the clamps to the drain and inlet hoses. Otherwise, the washing machine will “jump” around the room, and weak fasteners will fall off and lead to leaks.

The second step is to remove the transport bolts. These are long screws that secure the tank in a stationary position, preventing it from becoming loose and damaged during long-distance transportation. But it is forbidden to start the machine without removing them - the motor will try to spin the stationary drum, the latter will resist, and the cylinder itself, the shaft, bearings, shock absorption and other neighboring components will suffer. Therefore, the clamps must be removed: first they are loosened, then pushed deeper, and a special plastic plug is inserted into the hole. The number of fasteners and their location on a specific Candy is specified in the user manual.

Damage to the machine after washing with transportation bolts is not considered a warranty case.

Next, we look at the “cleanliness” of the machine. It is necessary to carefully remove all extraneous stickers and tape from the case, as well as plastic ties and foam blocks. Be sure to look into the drum, where the parts included in the Candy package are often located. It is important to clean everything and wipe the machine with a dry cloth.

After all the steps, the machine will be ready for the first wash. However, it is too early to load things into the drum - first you need to carry out a technical launch. What is this and what is it for, we will consider further.

Washing modes in the Candy washing machine: description

Candy brand washing units are distinguished by advanced functionality, excellent technical performance and a very reasonable price.
All controls used to select washing modes in the Candy washing machine have intuitively clear standard symbols. On the control panel of Candy units there are several “exclusive” icons that are not represented in samples of other brands. To implement all the functionality included in the product, you should familiarize yourself with their purpose.

Detergent stash

Without detergent, things cannot be washed properly. But you need to correctly add the concentrate to the washing machine so that the powder is not washed out immediately, but is dosed into the drum. For these purposes, the machines provide a dispensary or, in simple words, a powder receptacle. It is located in the upper left part of the case and opens if you grab the protrusion and pull the tray towards you.

When using detergents, it is worth remembering a few nuances:

It is important to dose the detergent correctly: using too little will not remove stains, and too much will lead to increased foaming!

It is also possible to use modern detergents on Candy - cleaning wipes or gel capsules. These devices are placed directly into the drum and are characterized by concentrated action and safety. However, their cost is much higher than that of regular powder or gel.

Basic timing parameters

First of all, the time parameters of the washing process in Candy attract attention.

Important! They are standardized in minutes and can be set in several ways, depending on the type of material being washed and the ability to track the process.

To familiarize yourself with the temporary options of various programs in Candy, consider the following icons:

  • One of the options for choosing the washing time is called “Aqua-plus”, in which the machine implements an extended rinse function for 30-40 minutes. This mode is especially in demand when processing clothes for allergy sufferers, as well as when washing children's clothes.
  • Intensive wash is selected for laundry that requires special processing conditions, extended by the program to 170 minutes. It occurs at a relatively high temperature of the mixture (up to 95 degrees) and is optimally suited for thermally resistant fabrics such as linen and cotton.
  • “Delayed start” as an option is especially convenient for housewives who want to leave the house for a while. After setting the start time of the program with a delay from 1 to 24 hours, you can always adjust the time of its end to your arrival from work, for example.

The auxiliary functions of the washing unit include the “rinse” program, which takes an additional 30-40 minutes.

Minor programs

The secondary designations that set certain time frames in the Candy washing machine include:

  • Icons in the form of a basin with the letter “P” mean the ability to soak laundry in advance, which is in demand when washing very soiled items. The process does not take place in hot, but in slightly heated water. In this mode, detergent powder is poured into both containers at once, since it must be consumed in both the first and second cycle of the program, starting after draining (170 minutes).
  • The icon in the form of three skeins of thread means a mode suitable for woolen items that are washed in lukewarm water at the slowest rotation speed of the take-up drum (55 min).
  • The image of a basin with the inscription “32” means an express wash, for which the manufacturer allocates 32 minutes. This program is chosen for those items that only need a refreshing treatment.

In addition to purely temporary modes set by washing programs for certain categories of items, Candy machines provide special options (programs).

Special modes from Candy

Special modes that can be selected programmatically before washing include:

  • The Super Wash program can only process cotton and synthetics. This option is suitable for budget-conscious housewives who prefer quick procedures. By pressing this button you can reduce the running time of all programs by 50 minutes.
  • The “Super Rinse” option is well suited for those with allergies, but can also be used for children’s laundry with a rinsing time of about 30-40 minutes. When you select this function, the quality of the material after washing is noticeably softened, since by pressing one button you can immediately activate conditioning and aromatization.
  • The “Drain without spin” mode is used when washing woolen fabrics with contraindications to spinning (4 minutes). A similar option is available, for example, in the Aquamatic 80F unit model. The peculiarity of the treatment in this case is to use only cold water.
  • When selecting the “Quick Wash” function, the work cycle additionally includes a rinse followed by an economical spin. It is applicable exclusively for things that are not too dirty and takes 44-32 minutes.
  • “Express wash” is an accelerated procedure, the requirements for which remain the same as in the previous case (32 minutes).
  • And finally, the “Mix & Wash System” option involves a combined procedure. In this case, it is allowed to load fabrics with different textures together (180 minutes).

This model provides a whole range of programs that involve intensive processing of washed items. To this should be added an intermediate spin, which significantly improves the quality of rinsing clothes. Upon completion, the products are subjected to additional drying.

When you select the “Synthetic and combined” option, the machine operates at certain speeds and water dosage, ensuring ideal rinsing (no creasing of the laundry). When using the “delicate wash” mode, long pauses are provided in the work process, and when selecting the “Wool” function, a special program prepared by the Woolmark Institute is used.

In this case, the treated laundry is thoroughly rinsed with minimal mechanical impact.

Procedure for setting up washing modes

The sequence of operations that ensures high quality washing looks like this:

  • Before putting the unit into operation, dirty laundry should be sorted by fabric type, since cotton, synthetic and all-woolen items must be washed separately.
  • If this model has a combined processing mode, cotton can be placed in the drum together with synthetics.
  • Fabrics, usually hand-washed, are collected in a separate portion and sorted by size.

To prevent the drum from becoming unbalanced, it is advisable to load large items separately from small laundry.

How to load laundry?

Before starting, the laundry intended for washing must be sorted not only by color, but also by type of fabric, since most of them have their own program. However, the washing machine cannot always be loaded to the maximum. Even if it is designed for 5 kg, items made of delicate and woolen fabrics can be loaded no more than 1-2 kg. Smart models weigh their laundry themselves and report the overweight. Otherwise, the approximate weight can be determined from tables or, as they say, “by eye.” Moreover, we are talking about dry underwear, since wet underwear weighs much more.

After loading, there should be enough space in the drum for the machine to work efficiently and for the items to stretch well and not look too wrinkled. In the case of cotton, no more than two-thirds should be filled; if we are talking about a more capricious material, then only half.

When sorting laundry, there are several points to consider:

During loading, things must be laid out not chaotically, but unfolded. Heavy items of clothing that are twisted into a ball can upset the balance and place too much stress on the drum. And this, in turn, will increase vibration, noise and reduce the service life of the equipment. It is better to put small items in a mesh bag. In order to save energy and detergents, you should not run the machine with an incomplete load. Lightly soiled laundry can be washed on a shorter program and at a lower temperature.

In Candy Activa Smart and similar ones, forgotten things can be added after launch. To do this, you need to press the start button, wait for the door to unlock and add what is needed. In the same way, you can remove those things that ended up in the drum by mistake and were noticed in time.

After all the manipulations, washing will begin from the moment from which it was interrupted. For obvious reasons, it is better to do this at the very beginning.
