According to the Labor Code in force in the Russian Federation, each employer undertakes to provide special clothing to all employees who take part in the production process. At the same time, the degree of cleanliness of the workwear must fully comply with all established standards - otherwise, the employees of the enterprise have the legal right to temporarily suspend the performance of their official duties, as well as to demand monetary compensation for such forced downtime. Therefore, in order to avoid such problematic situations, it is necessary to properly maintain the cleanliness and freshness of such clothes.
Washing frequency and the most common types of soiling
Any workwear requires special care. It is necessary to systematically clean it thoroughly. This plays a vital role in maintaining the employee’s personal hygiene at the proper level, and also contributes to the improvement of working conditions.
In most cases, enterprises provide for the renewal of clean clothing at weekly intervals, so thorough cleaning of all its components and parts is carried out on weekends. If the enterprise has a different work schedule, each employee must be provided with appropriate replacement clothing.
Thanks to regular proper care, the aesthetic appearance and functional qualities of overalls are preserved for a longer period of time. Most often, a special uniform is susceptible to such types of contamination as natural sweating, settling of dust and soot, as well as the ingress of various fats and mineral oils. Due to frequent and fairly extensive contamination, it is necessary to adhere to the rules when washing and cleaning workwear.
