But wet dishes do not always mean that the appliance is broken. Many budget devices do not have this function. Such devices also dry dishes, but using a different technology. It's called condensation.

Drying in one cycle goes like this:

as soon as the wash is completed, items are rinsed with high-temperature water;
the temperature gradually rises, the dishes begin to heat up;
The dishes cool down and at the same time dry out.

The disadvantage of this technology is that condensation remains on the dishes. If you open the appliance too early, the dishes will be too wet. To prevent condensation, open the door slightly while drying. Some models have automatic opening. It occurs immediately as soon as the equipment enters the drying mode.

Important! If the appliance is equipped with a turbo dryer, too wet dishes indicate a malfunction. With this function, the dishes must remain completely dry.

A heating element. When it wears out, communication and power supply are turned off. Provide access to the bottom of the device. Next, dismantle the pallet. Before doing this, it is important to remove the drain pump pipe. The temperature sensor is checked in two ways: visually and using a multimeter. You need to look for external damage. And a special device will show exactly what is wrong with the heating element.
Thermal sensor. The element is needed so that commands are sent to the heater. Due to its breakdown, water heating stops. The liquid does not have time to reach temperature and the dishes do not dry. As in the case of the heating element, the part is tested with a multimeter. But before diagnosing, you need to release the contacts and fastening. The faulty unit is removed and a new one is installed in its place.
Control module. If the PMM does not dry, then the reason is a faulty relay. It is responsible for switching modes. The element is not repaired, but replaced immediately.
A fan that blows heated air. Like the previous part, it is better to replace it with a new one. You can carry out the replacement yourself if you already have experience working with fans. It is necessary to accurately determine the location of the element, turn off the power, and remove the film. Then you need to check for resistance. If there are no mechanical damages or power outages, replacement can be carried out.

Broken heating element and temperature sensor

If the heating element and temperature sensor fail, only complete replacement of the elements is possible. Diagnosing a broken heating element in general is not difficult; this will require skills in working with a multimeter. In most dishwasher models, including Bosch, the heating element is flow-through and is located in the lower part. In order to get it out you will have to turn the car over and remove the bottom part. Next is the heating element, checked for functionality and, if necessary, replaced with a new one, preferably original. As for the temperature sensor, in working condition it regulates the operation of the heating element, giving a command to dry the dishes. If the sensor fails, then the heating element does not receive a command, drying does not begin, and in some cases the process stops even at the stage of washing the dishes. The temperature sensor is located in the opening of the chamber designed to collect water. In some dishwasher models, the same chamber may also contain a water purity sensor. The wires are removed from the temperature sensor, and then the sensor itself is taken out. A new sensor is installed in place of the old one and the repair will be completed; all that remains is to assemble the car and test it.

Fan and relay are faulty

One of the common reasons that a dishwasher does not dry dishes is a faulty relay located on the control board. In most cases (in fully built-in or free-standing machines), the control board is located inside the door, which can be easily disassembled by unscrewing a few bolts.

Having taken out the control board, you will see a relay on it, replacing which will require some skill when working with a soldering iron. If you doubt that you can cope with such work, it is better to contact a specialist who will do everything for sure. Replacing a relay is an inexpensive repair.

As for the fan in machines with a turbo dryer, if it breaks down it also needs to be replaced; it cannot be repaired. When the fan stops working, you will not hear the characteristic sound when the turbo dryer is operating. The fan that pumps hot air is located differently in different machine models, mainly on the side wall, in Bosch models in the lower part of the chamber, and in AEG machines, on the contrary, in the upper part. Therefore, to get to it, you will have to disassemble almost the entire dishwasher. To avoid this, you can entrust the work to a specialist, which will cost about 2,000 rubles, plus the cost of the fan itself.

If after washing you see water in the chamber, most likely the drain filter is simply clogged and you just need to clean it. How to fix the problem

If a Bosch or another brand dishwasher does not perform the drying function, you need to check all the parts that could cause the malfunction.

Heater and temperature sensor

When the control board sends a signal to heat, the heating element turns on. It brings the water to the desired temperature, which is determined by the temperature sensor. Once the temperature is reached, the thermistor sends a signal to the module and it stops heating.

If the machine does not heat the water, the first thing to check is the heating element. In most dishwashers it is flow-through and is part of the circulation unit. You can simply replace it yourself:

Disconnect the machine from the network and communications.
Open the door and remove all baskets from the hopper.
Turn the PMM over onto the back wall.
Remove the bottom pan (if equipped).
You will see a heater in the assembly. It looks like this:

Inspect its wiring. If burnt elements are visible, they need to be replaced.
The heating element is checked with a multimeter. To do this, attach the probes to the heater contacts. Indicators from 10 to 30 Ohms indicate the serviceability of the element.
In the event of a breakdown, disconnect the wiring chips.
Unscrew the fastening screw.
Install a new heater.

Important! When choosing a heating element, compare the markings with the old part.

If the temperature sensor malfunctions, the operation of the PMM may stop at the washing stage. The part is located in the water collection chamber. To replace, you need to disconnect the wiring and install a new thermistor.

Fan and control module

In dishwashers with turbo dryers, a fan supplies heated air into the chamber. The element is located in different parts of the dishwasher: at the side, top or bottom wall. If there is a malfunction, you will not hear the noise that sounds during drying. To replace it, you will have to almost completely disassemble the case.

The control board contains triacs that control the operation of the nodes. During a power surge, the heating element's triac could burn out. It is better to entrust the replacement to a specialist; you will need to work with a soldering iron. If the module itself malfunctions, installing a new element will help. But such repairs will be expensive.

Reasons why PMM stopped drying dishes

Depending on the dishwasher model (Bosch, Electrolux), the following types of drying are distinguished:

condensation (natural);
turbo drying;
heat exchange.

Why does equipment dry poorly? If your machine has a built-in condenser dryer, then drips and drops of water coming out are normal. It's all about the specifics of the work. After the end of the program, the dishes are treated with hot water, the chamber door is opened slightly. By mixing hot and cold flow, wet dishes dry. But if you do not immediately remove the devices from the bunker, condensation will form.

Flowing down the surface of the devices, condensation leaves streaks. Therefore, before serving, the dishes need to be wiped.
