How to make a pompom from yarn
If you need a large, for example, diameter of the product 10 centimeters, then you need to divide 10 by 2, you get 5. But we take into account another one and a half centimeters of the hole. We add them to 5, we get 6.5 cm. This is the radius of the second circle that we will draw (from the same center).
Now we connect both circles with a segment and after a couple of millimeters another one. According to the resulting drawing, we cut out two circles with a hole inside and a “gap”.
Let's put these blanks on top of each other. Leave the end of the thread and wind the yarn (you can use any yarn: from wool to synthetic) onto our circles.
We count how much we wind so that the products turn out the same. For volume, we wind the yarn until the central hole is half the size. But the more we wrap it, the heavier it becomes.
How to make a beautiful multi-color pompom from yarn? To do this, we wrap each segment of the circle with threads of different colors. It will be better if they are the same tone or have colors that combine with each other.
The thread needs to be cut. If the yarn does not slip, then we use the same yarn (a piece 60 cm long). If it slides, then take another one of the same color.
We hide the center of the cut between the blanks on the right side of the gap, and the second tail on the left. Now you need to cut the yarn along the edge of the entire outer circle.
With one hand, firmly press the workpiece to the table (so that the threads remain in place), and cut with scissors in a circle. And during cutting we move the cut between the cardboards a little forward.
Now we tighten the ends of the cut between the workpieces well and tie them tightly. Let's turn the cardboards in opposite directions and wind the ends of the cut again: one end in one direction, and the other in the opposite direction.

Let's literally make a pom-pom from yarn with our own hands - on our fingers. Cut a thread 20 cm long to form an angle and pinch its tip between the base of the index and middle fingers. Then we wind the yarn around them. After we have collected the required volume, cut it off.
Pull out the clamped thread and tie the first knot on the wound yarn. Remove it from your fingers and secure it well with the second and third knots. Now carefully cut both edges (resembling loops). Let's trim, fluff. Ready!
How to sew a fleece hat
Once we have everything we need, we can get to work.
We cut out a large piece of fleece with a fold and a smaller piece with a fold as well.
On the main part, draw lines 7 cm below the top cut.
From the cut downwards we cut strips 0.7 - 1 cm wide.
A couple of millimeters from the cuts, along the line, we lay a wide machine stitch.
We fold the large piece facing inward and stitch the back edges to a width of 1 cm from the edge. We sew down the back sections and the smaller part.
We put the smaller part of the cap into the larger one, placing the lower cut five millimeters lower than the top one. We pin it with pins.
Along the main part we sew a line 3 mm from the cut.
We tighten the top line to the maximum. Cut a strip 20 cm long and 1 cm wide. And we tie it as tightly as possible to the place where the line is. Trim the ends to the desired length. In the area of the back seam we make a tack, fastening both parts.

We take each of the strips by the middle and grind them to the rounded protrusions on the lower cut. We cut two strips 30 cm long and 8 cm wide, drawing a longitudinal middle on each. And from the top cut to the middle we cut the fringe 0.7 - 1 cm wide. Then from the bottom cut to the middle.
On both strips, we lay a wide stitch along the drawn middle.
Pull it as tight as possible. We roll it up, straightening the fringe, making something like a pompom. Using a tie on the hat, we tighten the middle of the pompom, that is, we tie it to the hat. As tight as possible. We do the same with the second side. Trim the ends of the ties to the desired length.
