If you want to cook deliciously, don’t be afraid to get your hands dirty. Moreover, washing them is not so difficult. At least if you arm yourself with “anti-fragrance” life hacks from kitchen professionals.
Basic methods of disposal
The main problem with fishy odor is that even after washing your hands with soap many times, your palms continue to emit an unpleasant odor. This indicates that this substance has penetrated the structure of the epidermis. But, despite the fact that soap is not able to get rid of the fishy smell, other available means help to cope with this problem.
Lemon
Lemon helps remove fishy smell. To do this, just squeeze citrus juice onto your hands to refresh your skin. A similar effect occurs if you rub the peel of a fruit or use a tangerine or orange. After the procedure, it is recommended to wash your hands with soap, as lemon juice makes the skin sticky.
Vinegar
To give freshness to your hands, use a 9% vinegar solution. After this procedure, the skin will smell unpleasant for some time. But after a few minutes this aroma will disappear.
Toothpaste
Toothpaste not only gets rid of unpleasant odor, but also gives freshness to the skin. To do this, rub a small amount of the product for one minute.
Alcohol
To clean your hands, you can use any type of alcohol (ammonia will not work because of the pungent odor). To remove an unpleasant aroma, simply wipe the skin with a moistened cotton swab.
Shampoo
The shampoo also refreshes the skin well, eliminating unpleasant odors, including fishy ones. This product is used as a replacement for liquid soap.
That is, you need to take a small amount of shampoo and wash your hands, paying attention to the areas between the fingers
Wash
Washing is used mainly to freshen up smelly items of clothing. But in some cases, washing your hands with powder or fabric softener also gives a positive result.
Essential oil
It is recommended to select essential oils depending on personal preferences and individual characteristics of the body. This product in rare cases causes an allergic reaction. Therefore, before the first procedure, you should apply a drop of oil to the skin.
To remove fishy odor, you will need to mix a few drops of a suitable essential oil and clean water. Then you need to wash your hands in the resulting solution.
Stainless steel
This option is used when there are no other means at hand. Stainless steel helps freshen up smelly hands. To do this, you need to rub the metal several times over problem areas. It must be remembered that smooth stainless steel without traces of rust (corrosion) is suitable for this procedure. Otherwise, unpleasant consequences are possible, including a severe allergic reaction.
Coffee
This option is as effective as treating it with lemon juice. Coffee beans can remove many unpleasant odors, including fishy ones. Moreover, you can use ground product for this. To refresh your hands, you will need to rub coffee beans in your wet palms until the off-color aroma disappears.
Sunflower oil
As in the case of stainless steel, this option is resorted to if there are no other ways to eliminate the fishy aroma. To make your hands smell normal, you will need to rub 1-2 drops of sunflower oil between your palms. After the procedure, the skin becomes oily. Therefore, after completing the manipulations, hands should be washed under running water. Rapeseed, olive or flaxseed are used as a replacement for sunflower oil.
Reason 4: Drug treatment and dietary flaws
Certain foods, such as curry, garlic and spices, alcohol, caffeine, and certain types of medications, can also cause body odor. Eliminate foods that cause unpleasant body odor from your diet or, after finishing taking medications, take care to remove them from the body. I wrote about how to restore the body after taking potent medications here in the second part of the article.
From the smell of gasoline
No one will like the smell of gasoline left on the skin of their hands. To get rid of it, use dishwasher detergent. Both gel and tablets will do, you just need to knead the tablets thoroughly in your hands.
Hydrogen peroxide helps a lot. You need to rub your hands with it and leave it for 15 minutes, and then rinse with water. Sometimes you have to repeat the procedure two or three times, but it removes the smell of gasoline perfectly.
Ordinary bread also helps get rid of this aroma. Rub the crust over the skin for 5-10 minutes, do not rinse off.
Advice!
Warm soapy water removes the smell of gasoline well. A bar of laundry soap should be grated on a fine grater and filled with hot water. As soon as the temperature of the liquid becomes tolerable, lower your hands into it and keep them in the bath for about 20 minutes.
From the smell of onions
Many people experience real disgust when they smell onions. You can get rid of it on your skin using several methods. Vinegar overpowers the aroma. Just drop a few drops on your palms, rub your palms, then rinse well under the tap. But this product can burn and tighten the skin, but mouthwash perfectly removes unpleasant odors, but does not have a negative effect on the skin. It should be used like vinegar: wet, rub and rinse.
Regular sugar has a neutralizing effect. It is enough to use a teaspoon of “sand” like a scrub to quickly remove the unpleasant smell of onions. Butter or natural peanut butter will help cope with the problem. They need to be applied to hands, left for 35 minutes and rinsed with warm water.
Reason 2: Accumulation of toxins in the body
Regular consumption of low-quality food and certain medications leads to unpleasant body odor. The body begins to smell especially bad at moments when toxins begin to be eliminated, namely: when playing sports, in the sauna, and when we undergo a body cleansing course.
