Classic steamed cheesecakes in a slow cooker
Cottage cheese in a slow cooker is an exceptional recipe for breakfast. Hearty, but absolutely low-calorie culinary products are a tasty and healthy start to the day.
Grocery list:
- cottage cheese – 1 pack;
- table egg – 1 pc.;
- flour – 1 tbsp. l.;
- salt, sugar - to taste;
Prepare steamed cheesecakes in a slow cooker:
- They are prepared from low-fat cottage cheese, which is better to buy in a store, not at the market. Place it in a cup and knead.
- Beat the egg well, add to the cottage cheese, add salt, sugar and flour.
- Mix the curd mass thoroughly so that no lumps remain.
- Cheesecakes for this recipe are best prepared in silicone molds for pancakes or muffins. This is not only convenient, but also gives an interesting look to the finished dish.
- Place the dough into molds, place on a steam tray, and pour water into the multicooker.
- 10 minutes are enough for complete cooking.
Remove the finished curd cakes from the molds and place them on a plate. For a better taste, you can pour the cheesecakes with honey melted in a steam bath or sprinkle with powdered sugar.
Cooking steps
- Preparing cottage cheese cakes is not difficult: first, prepare the necessary dishes. Conveniently lay out everything you need on the table and begin the process of kneading the dough. An important condition when choosing cottage cheese is its freshness. We are closely monitoring this. Pour it into a bowl, and also break the chicken egg.
- Add sugar and salt to the resulting mass. Add vanillin if available. Its quantity depends only on your taste and preferences. If this component is missing, no problem. The taste won't be any worse.
- Mix the contents of the bowl thoroughly. To do this, you can use either a whisk or a mixer. Choose what is more convenient for you personally. Stir until the mixture in the bowl becomes homogeneous. Prepare the flour. A good solution would be to first sift it through a sieve, saturating it with oxygen and removing large particles. Now mix everything thoroughly and proceed to the last step.
- Wet our hands in water. This way the dough will not stick to them. We tear off pieces of equal size from it. We form balls from them, press them a little to make small cakes. Pour a small amount of water into the multicooker and place our future curds there for 25-30 minutes until ready. We decorate the dish beautifully, arrange the flatbreads on plates and season with delicate sour cream, sweet jam or aromatic honey. Let's bring it to the table.
This incredibly tasty and appetizing dish will satisfy everyone who tries at least a piece. Your efforts will be appreciated by your family, guests or relatives.
Cooking from cottage cheese in a double boiler
Even novice housewives can prepare cottage cheese pancakes in a double boiler. The main thing is to follow the basic rule: the cottage cheese for such cheesecakes should be rather dry. If you use a product with a high moisture content, there is a risk of getting a shapeless mass at the end of cooking.
Ingredients:
- cottage cheese – 600 g;
- vegetable oil – 1 tbsp. l;
- eggs – 2-3 pcs.;
- sugar – 3 tbsp. l;
- vanilla sugar – 3 g.
The method for preparing such cheesecakes is quite simple:
- Take a large container, place the cottage cheese there and use a fork to mash well.
- Add sifted flour and other ingredients to the cottage cheese, mix well.
- Prepare the steamer: pour water into the lower bowl, grease the upper bowl with oil.
- Form the curds by hand or using a spoon and place them in a bowl, keeping a small distance.
- After 25 minutes, place the finished cheesecakes on a dish, cool and serve.
Before serving, they can be sprinkled with ground cinnamon to add a spicy taste and aroma.

How to make steamed cottage cheese pancakes
Today you can prepare tender and tasty cottage cheese pancakes for your child. And thus, saturate the growing body with calcium and protein, since when preparing them we will also use eggs. We will steam this dish. The cheesecakes will not be quite ordinary, but will be very similar to pudding. This is why cheesecakes are suitable even for very young children.
Ingredients: cottage cheese (fat content - 5%) - 430 g, egg - 2 pcs., sugar - 2 tablespoons, flour - 2 tablespoons, salt - 0.5 teaspoon.
The main component of cheesecakes is, of course, cottage cheese. In general, it can be used with absolutely any fat content. Everything is at your discretion. But we recommend using 5% fat cottage cheese. In this case, this is the “golden mean”, since low-fat is still a little sour. We need a deep bowl and a blender. During the cooking process, you need to add half a teaspoon of salt to all products. 1. So, take the cottage cheese and knead it a little with a fork. 2. Place it in a deep bowl. 3. Then add 2 tablespoons of granulated sugar with a small slide to the cottage cheese. 4. We also send 2 tablespoons of flour there, already with a decent slide. 5. Break 2 eggs. Grind all the products very well in a blender until the consistency of thick sour cream. When the curd mass is ready, prepare the molds. You can use silicone baking molds.
When you cook for children, we highly recommend using different unusual molds, for example, in the form of animals or flowers. Children are simply delighted with them and eat all the “curly” dishes with even greater pleasure. So, if you also use silicone molds, then there is simply no need to grease them with butter. Nothing will stick to them. And, if you take glass or ceramic dishes, then first grease the bottom and walls well with butter. Place the curd mixture into the molds.
We try not to fill it to the very top, but leave a little space and, especially, do not make a slide. Since, during cooking, cottage cheese pancakes will increase a little more in volume. Now place the filled molds in a steaming basket. Pour water into the multicooker bowl, approximately 700 ml. And place a basket with molds on the bowl. Close the multicooker lid and set the “Steamer” mode. Cooking time 10 minutes after boiling water. So, the beep sounded - delicious, light cottage cheese pancakes are ready.
You can serve them with jam, condensed milk or honey, of course, if you are not allergic.

Recipe for those on a diet
Steamed cheesecakes differ from fried products in the absence of a golden brown crust. But that's what makes them so useful. Even those who are losing weight, or are forced to follow a diet, can afford this delicacy.
For dietary cheesecakes you will need:
- half a kilo of low-fat cottage cheese;
- poppy – 100 g;
- wheat flour (whole grain) – 100 g;
- whites from 5 eggs;
- vanilla sugar, salt - a pinch.
A couple of hours before cooking, pour boiling water over the poppy seeds. Once it has steamed sufficiently, drain off the remaining water.
Dough:
- Separate the egg whites from the yolks and beat lightly. Set aside the yolks; they may be needed for another dish.
- Place the remaining ingredients in a deep bowl, add poppy seeds, egg whites and knead the dough thoroughly. To achieve a better result, you can knead with your hands.
- Place small curd cakes in a prepared and greased steamer bowl and set the time for 15-20 minutes.
These steamed cheesecakes turn out unusually light and airy. You can serve them with sweet sauce or top them with honey.

For children's diet
Not every baby loves cottage cheese. Often, when trying to feed them, children begin to spit, throw food on the floor and resist in every possible way. This does not bring pleasure to either mothers or babies. In this case, cheesecakes can be a good solution. And steamed products are also useful for digestion.
Compound:
- cottage cheese – 0.5 kg;
- egg – 1 pc.;
- sugar – 25 g;
- flour – 1⁄2 cup;
- berries - about a glass.
If there are no fresh berries, you can take any frozen ones that your child likes or replace the berries with dried fruits. If your baby is prone to allergies, you can avoid any additives by simplifying the recipe to the classic version.
Preparation:
- Combine all ingredients, except berries, in a large bowl, mix well, leaving no lumps in the dough.
- Grease silicone molds with oil, place berries or dried fruits and curd mass on the bottom.
- Pour water into the multicooker bowl to the required level, place the steamer container on top.
- Place the molds with curds on a sieve and set the time to 15 minutes on the “Steam” mode.
- Remove the finished cheesecakes from the molds and place on a plate.
It is better to serve with yogurt, honey, sour cream, depending on what the child likes.
