For 4 liter jars:
- Cucumbers - 1.2 kg
- Tomatoes – 800 g
- Onions - 3 pcs. average
- Black pepper (peas) - 20 pcs.
- Dill (umbrellas) - 4 pcs.
For the marinade:
- Water - 2 l
- Salt - 1 tbsp. spoon
- Sugar - 4 tbsp. spoons
- Table vinegar, 9% - 100-130 ml (try it!)
The yield of preservation is 4 liters. For other volumes, multiply everything proportionally.
Important!
- You can play the composition for the winter according to your taste. Just don't put too much onion. We limit ourselves to ½ medium root vegetable per liter container.
- The cutting of vegetables can be changed. The main thing is not to be shallow.
- Select firm, unripe cucumbers with hard skin for this recipe.
- It is worth soaking the cucumbers in cold water at least 2 hours before cooking.

How we preserve a salad of tomatoes, cucumbers and onions.
Standard preparation of vegetables.
Pour boiling water over the dill umbrellas for 2 minutes. We wash and dry the gifts from the garden. We cut the tomatoes into quarters, removing the speck from the stalk. Cucumbers without tips - into halves or quarters, in increments of about 1 cm. Onions - to taste: half and quarter rings are suitable, not very thin.
Option 1: collect the salad layer by layer in jars and sterilize.
Place layers of slices, alternating three vegetables. Cook the marinade: place the ingredients in a saucepan, wait until it boils and pour into jars. Cover each with a sterile lid.
We are moving to the finish line - sterilization in a large container. At the bottom there is a towel. We place the blanks on top. Pour in warm water up to the hangers of the cans. We are waiting for it to boil: it can take up to 15 minutes. From the moment of boiling, turn up the heat until it gurgles slightly and note the time:
- 1 liter - 15 minutes

Option 2: stew the salad to prepare for the winter without sterilization.
In a large saucepan, combine the three prepared cuts with the rest of the ingredients. Be sure to add 80 ml of vegetable oil. Simmer the mixture for up to 20 minutes, stirring, over moderate heat. - Meanwhile, wash and sterilize the jars and boil the lids in boiling water for 5 minutes. Place the prepared vegetables in jars, cover with lids and sterilize for 15 minutes, counting from the start of boiling of the water in the container.
- We take the finished products out of the sterilizer, seal them, and cool the jars, turned upside down and covered with warm material.
The finished product is sent for storage.
