So let's get started. Rinse the rice well with running water. Fill it with water and put it on high heat. When it boils, reduce the gas and cook for about 15 minutes. Then add vinegar (literally a couple of spoons) and cool. Peel the avocado and make almost transparent slices. We cut the fish into thin long strips. Place the seaweed sheet on the makis, glossy side down. Place the finished rice on it, not reaching the edge by about 1-1.5 cm. Spread cheese and avocado slices on it. We press everything down a little and twist it into a tight roll using a mat. Then we remove the makisa, place strips of fish on top and twist again. Cut into pieces and place on a plate. Place ginger, soy sauce and wasabi nearby. All is ready.

Required components:

  • round rice - 230 g;
  • curd cheese - 200 g;
  • salmon - 200 g;

  • water - 250 ml;
  • rice vinegar - 3 tsp;
  • sugar – 1⁄2 tbsp. spoons;
  • nori - 10 g;
  • salt – 1⁄2 tsp.

Step-by-step preparation at home:

  1. Boil sushi rice (special or regular round grain). Wash the cereal thoroughly in several waters until the water becomes clear, fill it with cold water and put the pan on the fire (the ratio of water and rice should be 1:1.25).

  2. As soon as the rice boils, reduce the heat to low and cook for another 15 minutes (while keeping the lid of the pan closed so that the rice is properly steamed).

  3. While the rice is cooking, prepare a special dressing: mix rice vinegar with salt and sugar, mix everything thoroughly.
  4. Cooked rice can be removed from the heat and left covered for some more time (7-10 minutes) so that it steams. During this time, peel the fresh cucumber and cut it into strips.
  5. Pour our dressing into a pan with warm rice and mix everything with a spatula (preferably a wooden one). Let it cool a little - it should be slightly warm.
  6. Wrap the sushi mat in cling film (or a plastic bag). We cut a sheet of nori into 2 parts, place one half with the glossy side down. On the other side, spread the cooked rice in an even layer. Using a mat, turn the nori sheet over so the rice is facing down.

  7. Place soft cream cheese in the middle of the sheet (ideally Philadelphia, but if you don’t have it, you can use any cream cheese), as well as cucumber or avocado (these ingredients can be added as desired).

  8. Carefully roll the roll using a mat (some people give the rolls a round shape, others a square shape).
  9. Cut salmon into thin slices. It is imperative that the fish be of high quality (ideally, if you salt it yourself - this way you will be sure of the quality). To cut the fish more evenly, it can be slightly frostbitten, and the knife can be sharp. Place the sliced ​​salmon in front of the rice roll and roll it carefully using a mat.

Baked Philadelphia. Cooking process step by step

  1. Boil the rice and cool at room temperature until warm.
