We are accustomed to using honey in desserts, but this sweet delicacy can also be used to prepare other dishes, in particular meat. Honey is an excellent base for both sauce and marinade and goes well with mustard.

It is best to take liquid honey, but if this is not available, then warm the candied honey a little in a water bath, it will melt and then mix it with spices, butter and sauce. Ingredients:

  • Chicken - 1.5 kilograms;
  • Liquid honey - 3 tbsp. spoons;
  • Vegetable oil - 30 Milliliters;
  • Lemon juice - 1 tbsp. spoon;
  • Salt, pepper - To taste;
  • Soy sauce - 4-5 tbsp. spoon;
  • Spices for chicken - To taste (optional).

How to cook:

1. Wash the chicken very thoroughly, remove any remaining feathers, the coccygeal gland (it is located under the tail of the chicken), and be sure to peel off the rough yellow skin on the legs with a knife.

2. Prepare the marinade. To do this, mix honey with soy sauce, vegetable oil, spices, add garlic (finely chop or pass through a press), salt and ground pepper to taste. Stir. 3. Marinate the chicken inside and out, cover a food bowl with cling film and place in the refrigerator for 2 hours. 4. The chicken can be baked either whole or in parts. My oven is small, so I cut it across the brisket and unwrapped it. This way it will bake faster. To save time on preparing dinner, I immediately put potato wedges on the bottom and placed the chicken on top. 5. Bake the chicken in a hot oven at 240 degrees for 45-50 minutes. How to cook chicken with lemon and honey in the oven

The lemon in this recipe balances the sweetness of the honey and gives the dish an original sourness. But at the same time, it also increases the looseness of the meat, making it softer. All this can be achieved by a marinade made on the basis of these two components.

Ingredients:

  • Chicken;
  • Salt;
  • Pepper;
  • Honey 2 tbsp. l.;
  • Lemon.

Cooking method:

  1. Chop the bird into pieces of acceptable size, add salt and pepper. Honey in the amount of 2 tbsp. l. melt and cut half the lemon into thin pieces;
  2. Mix the chicken with honey and pieces of citrus fruit, trying to press them so that they give more juice. Leave the meat for 3/4 hour;
  3. Then remove the chicken pieces and place them in a baking dish. Marinade prepared for chicken in the oven with honey does not need to be used. You can brush the pieces with sour cream on top and place a couple of fresh lemon slices on them;
  4. Place the meat in an oven preheated to 200°C. If possible, you can turn on the air fryer function. For the first 20 minutes, keep the meat at a temperature of 200 ⁰C, and then reduce it to 170 ⁰C and hold for the same amount of time;
  5. If you are on a diet and do not want to get a dish with a golden brown crust, then cover the dish with a lid or foil.

Chicken breast in soy-honey sauce

Ingredients for Chicken Breast in Soy-Honey Sauce:

  • Chicken breast - 4 pcs;
  • Honey - 90 g;
  • Soy sauce - 80 ml;
  • Lemon juice - 1 tbsp. l.;
  • Sesame oil - 1 tbsp. l.;
  • Ginger - 1 tsp;
  • Garlic - 3 teeth;
  • Sesame - to taste;
  • Black pepper - to taste.

Recipe for “Chicken breast in soy-honey sauce”:

Sesame oil can be replaced with olive oil. It is better to use fresh ginger.

Mix soy sauce, honey, lemon juice, sesame oil, garlic, ginger, black pepper. First, squeeze or grate the garlic. Grate the ginger too. We use ground black pepper.

Soak the chicken breasts, cover with film and leave in the refrigerator for an hour and a half.

Preheat the oven to 190 degrees. Place the chicken in a baking dish, add salt, pour some of the marinade, and sprinkle with sesame seeds. Bake for 40-45 minutes.

Ingredients:

  • Chicken;
  • Butter 100 g;
  • Honey 0.5 cups;
  • Mustard 4 tsp;
  • Curry 1 tsp.

Cooking method:

  1. Chop the bird into pieces, add salt and place in a shallow baking dish;
  2. In a separate bowl, mix 100 g of butter (it is better to use it melted), half a glass of honey, 4 tsp of mustard. and 1 tsp. curry;
  3. Pour this mixture over the meat and place in an oven preheated to 180°C. Periodically, the meat needs to be poured with juices from the baking sheet to get a beautiful crispy crust. In 75 minutes the dish will be ready;

  • Chicken - 1300 g;
  • Honey - 2 tbsp;

There are many recipes for cooking chicken. One of my favorites is chicken in honey sauce. True, since I really like to try something new, I have this chicken with an oriental note in taste!

The chicken according to this recipe turns out juicy, with a beautiful crust and amazingly flavorful!

Let's prepare all the products according to the list and cook the chicken in honey sauce in the oven.

IMPORTANT: for this dish you should take young chickens, weighing no more than 1-1.3 kg, since we will cook the chicken in honey sauce in portions - half a chicken per eater.

We will first marinate the chicken in the sauce, which is why we will first prepare the honey sauce. To do this, grate the ginger, pass the garlic through a press, and cut the chili pepper into rings. Place the vegetables in a bowl and add honey.

Add olive oil and soy sauce to a bowl with the remaining ingredients.

Add curry powder, salt, pepper.

Squeeze lemon juice into the sauce. Mix all the honey sauce ingredients well.

Cut the chicken into two halves lengthwise; if necessary, coat the feathers and down with a culinary flombere.

Coat the chicken halves well with honey sauce and let the chicken marinate for 30 minutes.

Take the chicken out for the last time and brush it with honey sauce. Turn on the “Grill” function in the oven and set the temperature to 190 degrees C, send the chicken under the grill for 10 minutes.

Chicken in honey sauce is ready. Serve it with fresh or baked vegetables in portions.

Types of marinade

Honey goes well with many foods and sauces. Next, we will describe the options for marinades based on 800–1000 g of chicken.

With garlic

Poultry in a honey-garlic marinade turns out piquant and aromatic; for cooking you will need:

  • 2-3 cloves garlic;
  • honey - 2 tbsp. l.;
  • soy sauce - 1 tbsp;
  • salt;
  • ground pepper.

The garlic needs to be peeled, chopped, mixed with salt and pepper, and rubbed into the meat. After this, combine honey, soy sauce, butter and pour the marinade over the bird.

With mustard

This Grainy Mustard Chicken recipe creates a deliciously savory dish. Ingredients of the marinade:

  • 2 tablespoons honey;
  • 2 tbsp. l. grainy mustard;
  • juice 1/3 part lemon;
  • paprika - 1 tsp;
  • salt pepper.

Combine all the ingredients, mix, coat the meat and leave for 1-1.5 hours. The marinade will run off, so turn the chicken periodically. When baking, watch for the honey mustard sauce on the surface of the chicken. Baked mustard seeds add sophistication and originality to the dish.

Ginger root should be washed, peeled, and grated on a fine grater. Also peel and chop the garlic. Combine all the ingredients and mix, the marinade turns out to be a beautiful dark red color, which will then be transferred to the meat. It is recommended to marinate the bird for 1.5-2 hours.

In fact, chicken is such a versatile product that can be combined with almost any product: orange, pineapple, sesame, lemon. Baked chicken with adjika and honey is also very tasty.

Chicken breast in honey-garlic sauce

Ingredients:

  • Honey - 120 grams;
  • Chicken breast - 3-4 pieces;
  • Soy sauce - 80 Milliliters;
  • Onions - 0.5 pieces;
  • Ketchup - 60 grams;
  • Garlic - 4 cloves;
  • Vegetable oil - 2 tbsp. spoons;
  • Corn starch - 3 teaspoons;
  • Water - 60 Milliliters;
  • Salt - To taste;
  • Ground black pepper - To taste;
  • Sesame - To taste;
  • Parsley - To taste.

How to cook Chicken Breast in Honey Garlic Sauce

1. First, rinse and dry the breast. Then rub it with salt and pepper. 2. Make the sauce. Finely chop the onion and garlic, and then mix them with oil, soy sauce, honey and ketchup. 3. Then place the chicken in a thick bottom pan. Pour in the sauce. Simmer the breast for 20 minutes over low heat on one side, and then another 20 minutes on the other. 4. At the end, make a mixture of water and starch. Pour it into the pan with the chicken. Let the ingredients simmer for 5 minutes. Slice the breast before serving. Boil the rice. Chicken with honey and lemon has a spicy, sour-sweet taste. This dish is also quite simple to make. For preparation you will need:

  • chicken carcass – 1 pc.;
  • bee product – 2–3 tbsp. l.;
  • sour cream – 3 tbsp. l.;
  • lemon – 1 pc.;
  • salt and pepper mixture.

The carcass is dried with a towel, cut into portions. Lemon is cut into slices no more than 3–4 mm thick. The pieces are placed in a deep bowl, flavored with spices, coated with honey, and topped with lemon slices. After this, the meat in honey should lie in a cool place for an hour and a half so that it has time to absorb the taste and aroma of the marinade.

After time has passed, the meat is placed on a baking sheet, poured with sour cream and covered with foil or a lid. First bake the dish at a temperature of 200 degrees for 20 minutes, and then reduce the heat to 170 and keep in the oven for the same amount of time.

Chicken with honey in the oven can be prepared not only with lemon, but also with orange. And if you have chosen a bee product with a dense consistency, then you can make it liquid using a water bath (the component will become liquid in just 3–5 minutes).

Chicken fillet in honey mustard sauce

Ingredients:

  • Chicken breasts - 2 pieces;
  • Starch - 1 tbsp. spoon;
  • Honey - 2 tbsp. spoons;
  • Grainy mustard - 2 tbsp. spoons (Dijon);
  • Apple cider - 150 Milliliters;
  • Apples - 2 pieces;
  • Flour - 2 tbsp. spoons;
  • Salt, pepper - To taste.

How to cook “Chicken fillet in honey mustard sauce”

Wash chicken breasts (can be whole, or cut into 2-3 lengthwise pieces), let dry, sprinkle with salt and pepper. Dredge each piece of chicken fillet in flour. Place the chicken fillet in a heated frying pan with a small amount of oil. Fry on both sides until slightly golden brown. Let's take a larger frying pan. Heat a small amount of oil in it, put chopped apples into small slices. Fry the apples for 2 minutes, then add lightly fried chicken fillet to them. Fry the apples together with the chicken until the chicken fillet has a beautiful brownish crust. Remember to turn the apples and chicken over so they don't burn. While the chicken is fried to a crisp along with the apples, prepare the sauce: mix honey, mustard and starch. When the chicken fillet is covered with a firm brownish crust, pour apple cider into the roasting pan and add honey mustard sauce. Stir, reduce heat and simmer over low heat for 5-10 minutes. During this time, the sauce will thicken and the chicken will be ready. Chicken fillet in honey mustard sauce is ready! Serve hot with some side dish - in my opinion, boiled rice is best. How to cook chicken with oranges and honey in the oven

How can you cook honey chicken in the oven? This is not difficult to do, especially if you have a couple of oranges on hand.

Ingredients:

  • Chicken shanks;
  • Favorite spices;
  • Orange;
  • Red wine;
  • Crackers;
  • Berries.

Cooking method:

  1. Wash chicken drumsticks (or part of the bird), dry, rub with your favorite spices - pepper, garlic, crushed pine nuts, as well as butter or sour cream. If you want the meat to brown well, then you need to rub it with lemon, or rather its juice mixed with a tablespoon of honey;
  2. Place the shanks on a wire rack, and be sure to place a baking sheet underneath. Bake for 40 minutes at a temperature inside the oven of 250 ⁰C;
  3. To obtain a sauce with oranges, evaporate 100 ml of red wine, add the juice of one fresh orange citrus fruit, evaporate again and then pour in the juice and fat from the cooked chicken. Add crackers, salt and your favorite pepper, simmer until tender;
  4. Lightly simmer a mixture of forest berries in this mixture. Pour the sauce into plates, arrange the side dish and meat.

If desired, you can place potatoes, apples, onions, carrots or pears on a baking sheet designed to drain the fat. It is recommended to cut the potatoes slightly, but not all the way, so as not to fall apart. You can make a cross-shaped notch. This way you will cook both the meat and the side dish at the same time.

Chicken fillet in honey marinade

Ingredients:

  • Chicken fillet - 600 grams;
  • Orange juice - 250 Milliliters;
  • Honey - 2-3 tbsp. spoon;
  • Soy sauce - 4 tbsp. spoons;
  • Cream - 200 Milliliters;
  • Flour - 1 tbsp. spoon;
  • Olive oil - 3 tbsp. spoons;
  • Salt and pepper - To taste.

How to cook “Chicken fillet in honey marinade”

Rinse and dry the chicken fillet.
Cut into small pieces, sprinkle with salt and pepper to taste. Pour in melted honey, orange juice and soy sauce. Place the fillets in the refrigerator to marinate for 2 hours.
