Picnic salad recipe

Is it even worth taking salads with you when going outdoors? On the one hand, this dish must be placed in a special container, which will take up quite a lot of space, which is not entirely convenient. But on the other hand, a salad is much healthier than an extra 3-4 rolls in your picnic bag. In addition, it is not necessary to take dishes with you to arrange the salad in portions; you can use a slice of avocado, baked potato or sweet potato as a saucer. Next we will tell you in more detail how this is all done.

Salad of crab meat, tomatoes and peppers in an avocado slice

  1. First you need to combine 2 tbsp into one sauce. Dijon mustard with the same amount of wine vinegar and olive oil. The resulting sauce can be seasoned with salt and pepper if desired.
  2. Now let's prepare the avocado filling. Cut half a tomato and a capsicum into cubes. Chop green onions and 1/4 kg crab meat in the same way. Mix these ingredients and then season with lemon juice to your liking.
  3. Remove the pit from the avocado and peel literally 1 tbsp. pulp so that you can place the prepared filling into the cavity formed, into which, by the way, you can add peeled avocado pulp.

Cabbage, pepper and nut salad

  1. Chop 0.5 kg of white cabbage, then marinate it in lemon juice, squeezed from 1/2 lemon, mixed with 2 tbsp. apple cider vinegar and 1 tsp. Sahara. The cabbage should completely absorb this marinade, so stir it in it and leave for 10 minutes.
  2. Next, peel 1 red pepper and 1 yellow pepper and cut into thin strips.
  3. Next, you need to take 80 g of walnuts and grind them using a blender or mortar.
  4. All that remains is to mix all the ingredients together and season the salad with 2 tbsp. olive oil.
  5. Add salt and ground pepper to taste.

This salad is perfect as an appetizer at a spring picnic before a barbecue.

Chicken salad with kiwi dressing and herbs

When going for a picnic in the summer, you want to come up with a light and very tasty menu. One of the salad options in this case could be chicken salad, to which refreshing kiwi and a lot of greens are added. This salad has one benefit and a minimum of calories. It is very nutritious and satisfying.

  1. Marinate 1/4 kg chicken fillet. For the marinade, use 2 tbsp. olive oil, 2 tsp. wine vinegar, a pinch of salt and Provençal herbs. You can replace the last ingredient with any spice you like. We recommend adding Provençal herbs because they will add an unforgettable aroma to your salad.
  2. You will first need to fry the marinated chicken in a frying pan so that it acquires an appetizing golden brown crust on each side, and then the meat should be stewed. When the chicken fillet is ready, cut it into thin slices and let cool slightly.
  3. While the meat is cooking, make the Chinese cabbage. You will need 300 g of this product. You just need to chop the cabbage finely.
  4. After that, move on to the most important component of the salad - the sauce. To make it, you need to take 2 kiwis, peel them and grind them in a blender. To beat the acidity of the fruit, add 1.5 tsp of kiwi while beating. honey
  5. Combine all the ingredients for the salad together, add 100 g of hand-torn arugula.

If you want the taste of kiwi to be even stronger in the salad, you can take a few extra fruits and cut them into cubes to add to the salad.

Lavash makes very tasty hot snacks at any time of the year. Therefore, when going on a picnic, stock up on this product. You can simply eat it instead of bread, or you can try to make a hearty snack with amazing taste.

  2. Mix the resulting mixture with 60 g of melted butter.
  3. Finely chop cilantro (1 bunch is needed) or any other greens you like.

  5. When the filling is completely ready, place it on greased pita bread. Roll it into a roll or envelope, and then place it on the wire rack to give the pita bread a golden brown and delicious crust.

Lavash stuffed with cheese and tomatoes

  1. Grate 0.3 kg of cheese on a fine grater. We recommend using Adyghe cheese for this recipe.
  2. Finely chop a bunch of greens, as well as half an onion. Mix all this with cheese.
  3. Then take 2 large tomatoes and cut them into cubes, throw them into the cheese mixture.
  4. We put the filling in pita bread, wrap it like shawarma, and fry it on the grill until golden brown.

Baked pita bread with red fish or trout

  1. Take 1 fresh cucumber, peel it and make slices.
  2. Next, place cream cheese on a sheet of lavash. For 1 sheet of lavash you will need 25 g of cheese.
  3. Pieces of lightly salted trout are placed on top of the cheese. Here, the quantity of fish depends on your taste preferences.
  4. Thin cucumber slices are laid out on top of the fish.
  5. All that remains is to wrap the pita bread in an envelope and fry it on the grill until crusty on each side.
