“Vegan herring under a fur coat”

- 70 g beets
- 60 g Jerusalem artichoke
- 1 sheet of nori seaweed
- 60 g carrots
- 20 ml lemon juice
- Parsley
- Green onions
- 1 tbsp. l. olive oil
- 40 g cashew cheese
- 20 g soy sprouts
- pollen
Step 1. Peel the vegetables and wash them.
Step 2. Grate carrots and Jerusalem artichokes on a fine grater into a container.
Step 3. We also grate the beets on a fine grater - separately.
Step 4. Add salt and pepper. Sprinkle the resulting mass with lemon juice.
Step 5. Add ½ part of cashew cheese to the container with carrots and pears, mix and place on a plate in a chef's ring.
Step 6. Soak finely chopped nori seaweed in water.
Step 7. Place on a ring and sprinkle with finely chopped parsley and green onions.
Step 8. Place the rest of the cheese and grated beets on top.
Bad herring
Barrel herring is dense, elastic, and not too salty. But it needs to be cleaned. Therefore, cooks often want to save time and effort and buy already cut fillets in oil. Unfortunately, such herring is often too loose and soaked in oil. In addition, such fillets are often treated with chemicals to bleach and soften the bones. A savory snack cake with salmon is a real culinary masterpiece that anyone can prepare. Prepare it just once, and it will definitely be present at every holiday. From the simplest ingredients you will get a good, juicy and tasty snack that melts in your mouth. Product set:
- 300 grams of lightly salted red fish;
- 400 grams of boiled potatoes, beets and carrots;

Cooking principle:
1. Since we will be preparing the salad in layers, it is best to collect it in a ring or in a transparent bowl with high sides. We will form the bottom layer from grated beets, this way the remaining products will not be colored, and the snack will look elegant. We level the beets placed on the bottom (without compacting them!) and grease them with mayonnaise.
2. Next, lay out a layer of carrots coated with mayonnaise. This is followed by a layer of grated potatoes, also soaked in mayonnaise. The top is sprinkled with finely chopped white part of the green onion, which is first sprinkled with grated white, and only then the yolk is used.
3. Next we take on the fish. The top of the cake can be decorated with fillet roses, you can simply cut the fish into cubes and cover the top of the salad, or decorate the middle of the snack with roses, and cover the sides with cubes and sprinkle all this beauty with chopped green onions.
4. Now let the salad soak in mayonnaise for 2-3 hours. If the beets give juice, you need to carefully collect it with a napkin, and only then remove the ring from the cake.
Too much mayonnaise
Mayonnaise is one of the important ingredients. “Shuba” without it will have a completely different taste. Therefore it is necessary. But not in huge quantities. Housewives often fill each layer with a large amount of mayonnaise, since it seems that it will not be able to saturate the layer if there is not enough of it. But he can.
If the salad literally swims in mayonnaise, then you will not feel any other taste other than Provençal. Therefore, it is better to use the sauce sparingly.
If you have doubts that the layers will be saturated, you can season each layer separately with mayonnaise (a small amount), mix, and then lay the layers in the usual order.

- 50 g herring
- 50 g baked potatoes
- 30 g baked carrots
- 50 g baked beets
- 1 boiled egg
- 30 g mayonnaise
- 5 g parsley
- 40 g phyllo dough
- 5 g pickled onions
- 1 boiled yolk
Step 1. Sprinkle the chicken yolk with salt in advance (12 hours) until it is salted and becomes hard.
Step 2. Bake vegetables with salt and vegetable oil in foil at 180 degrees for 40 minutes, cool and grate.
Step 3. Grate the egg on a coarse grater, add mayonnaise, chopped herring and parsley.
Step 4. Mix everything and let it brew for several hours.
Step 5. Bake the phyllo dough in a silicone semicircular mold for 2 minutes at 180 degrees.
Step 6. Place the prepared salad in a mold, rub salted yolk on top and garnish with pearl onions.
Layer order
“Shuba” is a salad that involves a certain amount of creativity; you can add ingredients, for example, you often add an apple. You can experiment with sauces, adding anchovies or capers to mayonnaise, for example. Layers can also be swapped. But the herring needs to be placed on the bottom, and the beets on the top. Filling:
- 1 beet;
- 1 processed cheese;
- 2 cloves of garlic;
Preparation:
The basis of the salad remains unshakable and consists of a well-known set of products.
Cut the onion into small cubes. To remove the bitterness from it, prepare a marinade for the onions from a tablespoon of wine vinegar, 3 tbsp. l. water, a pinch of salt and sugar. Pour in the onion and leave for a few minutes.
- Lay the first layer of potatoes. Flatten it and add a little salt. Cover with a thin mesh of mayonnaise.
- 2nd from herring. Cut it into cubes. Place on potatoes and press down lightly.
- 3rd. Drain the marinade from the onions and sprinkle it on top of the fish. Cover it with a mesh of mayonnaise.
- 4th and 5th layers. From grated eggs and carrots. For each, draw a thin grid with mayonnaise.
- 6th - from beets. Lay it out on the surface and press down lightly. Apply mayonnaise and spread it with a spoon.
The classic base of the Fur coat is ready. You can put it in the refrigerator so that the food begins to soak in the mayonnaise.
In the meantime, let's start preparing pancakes. Break the egg into a deep bowl. Add salt and sugar. Add milk and stir. Add beet juice for coloring. Gradually add flour and mix
To avoid lumps in the dough, it is convenient to sift it through a sieve.
Add a couple of tablespoons of vegetable oil. The beautiful dough is ready. Grease a heated frying pan with vegetable oil and bake regular pancakes. This amount of dough makes 3 pancakes.
Making the filling for the pancakes. Add garlic to the grated beets. It can be passed through a spade. If you don't like the spicy taste, reduce the amount or eliminate it completely. Mix in finely grated shavings of processed cheese. Add mayonnaise and mix everything.
Divide the resulting beetroot and cheese mass into three parts. Place on pancakes and smooth over the entire surface. Roll up the roll. Cut the rolls into pieces, the length should be about 3 cm.

- 1 large herring;
- 2 pcs. beets;
- 2 sour apples;
- 2 pcs. potatoes;
- 2 pcs. bulbs;
- vinegar (for pickling onions);
- 2 pcs. carrots;

What we do:
- Wash the potatoes, carrots and beets and put them in cold water. Cook over medium heat until done.

- Remove the skin from the herring, separate the fillet from the backbone and remove excess bones, chop finely.
- Peel boiled and completely cooled vegetables and grate them into separate bowls.

- Top with onion and a little mayonnaise.
- Next - boiled potatoes, lightly salt and coat them as well.
- Grate the apple on a coarse grater and place it on the potatoes. There is no need to lubricate the apple layer with mayonnaise.

We have to:
- 2 beets;
- 3 potatoes;
- 300 g herring fillet;
- 1 onion;
- 2 pickled cucumbers;
- 3 carrots;
- 3 eggs;
- mayonnaise to taste;
- salt pepper;
Preparation:
Boil vegetables and eggs until tender, cool and peel. Before cutting them into a salad, remove 2-3 thin strips from carrots and beets with a vegetable peeler. By twisting them into a roll, we form flowers to decorate the finished product.
Then we continue cutting and shredding the prepared ingredients.

If the fish is covered with a white coating, then most likely the salting conditions were violated.
