I can’t think of a reason why this dish would not be appropriate on the table. Chicken drumsticks with potatoes are a universal option for both holidays and everyday meals. Despite the fact that the treat turns out to be satisfying and looks quite complicated, absolutely anyone can prepare it.

I think everyone, without exception, has tried this dish. We can say that this is something that every housewife should have in her arsenal. Which of course included and still includes our mothers and grandmothers.

In my opinion, chicken drumsticks with potatoes are a great dish to show off your cooking skills without putting in too much effort. All ingredients are available and require minimal preparation. But the end result is quite impressive.

Chicken legs in the oven with potatoes - the most delicious recipe

It’s not for nothing that I called this recipe the best, because chicken meat is baked with a very tasty marinade. And on the potatoes you will see everyone’s favorite crispy crust. The result is a hearty dish with a beautiful presentation, worthy of a festive table. Ingredients:

  • Chicken drumsticks – 700 gr.
  • Potatoes – 1 kg.
  • Carrot.
  • Large onion.
  • Garlic – 3 cloves.
  • Vegetable oil – 2-3 large spoons.
  • Tomato sauce (ketchup) – 2 large spoons.
  • Seasoning for potatoes - large spoon.
  • Turmeric – a small spoon.
  • Black pepper - to taste.
  • Light mayonnaise 40% - 2 large spoons.
  • Soy sauce - the same amount.
  • Salt.

Step by step recipe:

Rinse the shins, dry with a paper towel, and place in a convenient container. Pour over soy and tomato sauce.

Add mayonnaise.

Crush the garlic cloves with a press and add to the chicken. Season with pepper and add salt. Mix well so that the marinade is distributed throughout the meat. Leave the workpiece to marinate for about 20-30 minutes.

Chop the carrots into rings and place in a bowl.

Cut the peeled potato tubers into slices and add to the carrots.

Chop the onion into half rings and add to the rest of the vegetables.

Add turmeric, prepared potato seasoning, salt and pepper to the vegetables. Mix the contents well.

Pour in the sunflower oil and stir the vegetables thoroughly again.

Place on a baking sheet and flatten to form a cushion for the meat.

Spread the marinated drumsticks on top. Pour over the remaining marinade.

Place the baking sheet on the middle level of the oven, preheated to 180 o C. The approximate baking time is 1 hour, depending on the capabilities of your oven and the size of the legs. If you have fresh herbs in your bins, sprinkle them on the finished dish. Bon appetit!

Potatoes with chicken drumsticks and vegetables: recipe on a baking sheet

Chicken drumsticks are not only possible, but also should be baked with vegetables. Let's add a couple of zucchini to our main ingredients and then see what happens. Spoiler: it turns out very tasty!

Ingredients:

  • 6 chicken drumsticks;
  • 400 g zucchini;
  • 400 g potatoes;
  • 2 cloves of garlic;
  • Salt pepper;
  • 2 tbsp. l. soy sauce;
  • 2 tbsp. l. ketchup;
  • A tablespoon of olive oil;
  • 3-4 sprigs of fresh thyme;
  • A teaspoon of chicken seasoning.

Subsequence:

We wash the shins and, if there are any hairs left, remove them. Remove excess moisture with paper towels. Mix soy sauce with tomato sauce, then rub the resulting mixture onto the meat.

Finely chop the garlic and add half of it to the legs. We also sprinkle the drumsticks with chopped thyme and special seasoning. Stir and set aside to marinate the meat.

This time we will deal with vegetables. Peel the potatoes and cut into rings. We do the same with zucchini (only you don’t need to peel them). Place the vegetables in a bowl and pour over the remaining soy sauce and olive oil. Salt and pepper to taste, add chopped garlic.

Place the vegetables in the pan, alternating with each other. Like this. You may end up with more than one layer.

And on top are chicken drumsticks. Cover the pan with foil and place in the oven preheated to 190 degrees.

After an hour, remove the foil and send the meat to brown a little more. If you pierce the drumstick with a fork and clear juice comes out, it means everything is well baked.

Before serving, add some greens. That's all.

Chicken legs in the oven with potatoes and mayonnaise (under foil)

Adding mayonnaise to the recipe allows you to bake the drumsticks with a beautiful crispy crust. Plus an interesting taste note that will be brought by a product beloved by many.

Take:

  • Chicken legs – 10 pcs.
  • Potatoes – 2 kg.
  • Onion – 2 heads.
  • Garlic cloves – 4 pcs.
  • Hard cheese – 300 gr.
  • Cream – 200 ml.
  • Mayonnaise – 200 ml.
  • Curry – a pinch.
  • Pepper, salt.

How to cook:

  1. Wash the legs and place them in a deep container. Immediately add salt and pepper. Add chopped garlic. Add approximately 170 ml. mayonnaise sauce, leaving some for potatoes.
  2. Cover with a lid and leave to soak in seasonings for 1-1.5 hours. If you are in a hurry, it is permissible to reduce the marinating time to half an hour.
  3. Cut the onion heads into half rings. Peel the potato balls and divide into circles approximately 3 mm thick.
  4. Place the vegetables in a bowl, pour over the chicken marinade (the meat will release juice and there should be enough marinade for the potatoes).
  5. Add the remaining mayonnaise to the vegetables, season with spices, and stir. Leave for a quarter of an hour to marinate the slices.
  6. Cut 70 grams from a piece of cheese, slice into thin slices, rub the rest with large shavings.
  7. Make a cut in the skin on each leg and open it in the form of a pocket. Place a plate of cheese.
  8. Grease a heat-resistant dish with any oil, lay out the prepared potato slices with onions.
  9. Place the drumsticks in a row on top. Cover with a sheet of foil and seal the edges securely.
  10. Bake the dish in the oven at a temperature of 180-200 o C, setting the timer for 40 minutes.
  11. After the timer beeps, remove the foil. Pour in the cream and sprinkle grated cheese on top.
  12. Return the dish back to the oven. Continue baking by turning on the timer for another 20 minutes. A beautiful crust of melted cheese will tell you when it’s ready.


How to deliciously bake potatoes and chicken drumsticks with champignons in the oven

What could be better than a combination of juicy meat and aromatic mushrooms? Especially if these are delicious champignons. Let's look at another wonderful recipe from our next author and at the same time enjoy the delicious photos.

Ingredients:

  • 2 chicken drumsticks;
  • 4 tbsp. l. sour cream;
  • 600 g potatoes;
  • 200 g champignons;
  • 1 tbsp. l. ketchup;
  • 3-4 cloves of garlic;
  • Salt and pepper;
  • Seasonings for chicken and potatoes - to taste.

Subsequence:

Cut each drumstick into three pieces.

Mix sour cream and ketchup in a bowl (you can replace it with tomato paste). Pepper and salt to your taste.

Place the meat in the same bowl and mix thoroughly. Sprinkle everything with finely chopped garlic.

We wash the champignons and cut them into large slices. Not very large mushrooms can simply be divided in half.

Place them in the chicken and mix everything again (preferably with your hands). Leave the ingredients in this form for 40-50 minutes.

During this time, we peel and cut the potatoes.

When the mushrooms and meat are marinated, take a little sauce from their bowl and coat the potatoes with it. Sprinkle it with potato seasonings and then place it in a baking dish.

We put our mushrooms and meat on top. Pour the rest of the sauce over everything.

This dish is prepared in the oven for an hour at 180 degrees.

Before serving, you can add chopped fresh herbs.

A few other seasonings, and the dish will take on an oriental flavor. Thanks to sour cream, the legs will turn out incredibly juicy and tender.

What you will need for the chicken:

  • Legs – 8 pcs.
  • Sour cream 20% - 4 tablespoons.
  • Sweet paprika - a teaspoon.
  • Curry – 2 teaspoons.
  • Black pepper – a large pinch.
  • Garlic cloves – 3 pcs.
  • Salt - a teaspoon.

Take for potatoes:

  • Potatoes – 800 gr.
  • Sunflower oil – 3 large spoons.
  • Sweet paprika - small spoon.
  • Seasoning for potatoes - a little less than a teaspoon.
  • Salt – ½ teaspoon.

Cooking:

  1. Wash and dry the chicken legs.
  2. In a small bowl, mix sour cream with crushed garlic, salt, curry, pepper, and paprika. Pour sour cream sauce into meat, stir. Soak the drumsticks in the marinade for 15-20 minutes.
  3. Peel the potatoes and divide into large slices. Pour oil over the slices and sprinkle with the seasonings indicated in the recipe. Stir.
  4. Place ¾ of the total potatoes on a baking sheet. Place the legs on top, placing them at some distance from each other.
  5. Place remaining potatoes in between drumsticks.
  6. Preheat the oven to 190-200 o C. Place the baking sheet on the middle level. Cook for 50 minutes.

  • salt, pepper - to taste;
  • celery – 4 stalks;
  • carrots – 4 pcs.;
  • shins – 1.8 kg;

Cooking method:

  1. Wash the drumsticks, dry them, and cut all the vegetables into thin rings.

  3. Place the bag on a baking sheet, which is placed in the already preheated oven. Bake for at least 1.5 hours.

Take:

  • Chicken legs – 8 pcs.
  • Potatoes – 0.8-1 kg.
  • Sunflower oil – 2-3 tablespoons.
  • Salt - a small spoon.
  • Coriander, pepper - to taste.

Bake:

  1. Wash your shins and dry them slightly with a paper towel. Rub with a mixture of salt, coriander and pepper.
  2. Add seasonings, oil to peeled and cut into large slices potatoes, stir.
  3. Tie the sleeve on one side and place the potatoes inside. Level it out and place the legs on top.
  4. Fasten the other end of the sleeve, make several punctures on top to allow steam to escape.
  5. Cook the dish at 200 o C for 30 minutes first. Then take out the bag and cut it (carefully so as not to get burned by the steam).
  6. Return the potatoes with the legs to the oven. Wait until a crispy crust appears on the surface of the chicken (5-7 minutes, no more). Invite your family to the table and enjoy!

Baking is one of the easiest ways to prepare a hearty, delicious, flavorful dinner. This is especially true if you are expecting guests to arrive. Chicken drumsticks with potatoes and cheese are quick and easy to make, and in return you get a very elegant dish. Some have tried adding mushrooms to the main ingredients: they add special flavor notes to the hot dish.

Ingredients:

  • cheese – 150 g;
  • salt, seasonings - to taste;
  • onions – 2 pcs.;
  • champignons – 0.5 kg;
  • drumsticks – 4 pcs.;
  • mayonnaise – 2 tbsp. l.;
  • potatoes – 1 kg.

Cooking method:

  1. Rinse the legs and dry with a paper towel.
  2. Cut the onion into thin half rings.
  3. Salt the drumsticks, add chopped onions, pour in mayonnaise, mix everything together, leave to soak the meat a little.
  4. Cut the potatoes into slices, immediately place them in a baking dish and add a glass of water.
  5. Cut the washed mushrooms into thin slices.
  6. Place a layer of mushroom slices on the potatoes, then add chicken legs there.
  7. Place the pan in a preheated oven and bake at 250 degrees.
  8. After half an hour, take out the pan, sprinkle the meat with grated cheese, and then bake for another 20 minutes.

Delicious chicken legs (drumsticks) in dough with mushrooms

Here is a festive dish of chicken legs. Although, if you use ready-made puff pastry, they are easy to prepare even for dinner. You will see this for yourself if you try to cook it.

Necessary:

  • Chicken legs – 6 pcs.
  • Puff pastry – 500 gr.
  • Mushrooms (champignons) – 250 gr.
  • Onion - head.
  • Potatoes – 700 gr.
  • Butter – 25 gr.
  • Egg.
  • Cream – 50 ml.
  • Sunflower oil – 2 tablespoons.
  • Pepper, thyme, thyme, salt - to taste.
  • Breadcrumbs.

How to cook:

  1. Quickly fry the chicken drumsticks in a hot frying pan until the meat is soft. Refrigerate.
  2. Chop the onion into quarters of rings. Chop the champignons into slices (not too finely).
  3. Fry the onions first, then add the mushrooms. Fry the ingredients together until golden brown. At the end, add salt and sprinkle with thyme (or curry, if you prefer).
  4. Boil the potatoes until fully cooked. Crush into a puree, adding a knob of butter. Pour in warm cream (warm milk can be substituted).
  5. Add sautéed mushrooms and onions. Stir the contents.
  6. Defrost the puff pastry, roll it into a flat cake 4-5 mm thick.
  7. Divide into several squares measuring 15 by 15 cm.
  8. Collect the scraps, roll them up, and make them into small cakes according to the number of squares. Place a flatbread in the center of each square, making a base (for durability and strength of the dough bags).
  9. Place potato filling in the center of the squares (about 2 large spoons each). Place the leg on top (stick it in quickly so that it holds).
  10. Using your fingers, press the filling into the drumsticks, lift the edges of the dough up, connect, giving the shape of a bag. Tie with something, such as strips of foil.
  11. Don't be alarmed if the leg bone sticks out of the bag, but to prevent it from burning when baking, wrap it in foil.
  12. Place parchment paper on a baking sheet and sprinkle with breadcrumbs. Place the bags of chicken legs in the dough and coat them with egg yolk.
  13. Cook at 180-190 o C for 25-30 minutes. When the bags turn golden brown, you can take them out and start tasting.

Cooking stuffed chicken legs with potatoes and mushrooms

We take:

  • Chicken legs – 8 pcs.
  • Champignons – 200 gr.
  • Onion - medium sized head.
  • Garlic – 2 cloves.
  • Mayonnaise - large spoon with top.
  • Cheese – 100 gr.

  • Salt, ground pepper, oil.
  • Dill – 3 sprigs.

Preparation:

  1. Remove the skin from the shin with a stocking, trying not to break the integrity (cut at the top and bottom at the bone, then pull it off with a decisive movement).
  2. Cut the meat off the bone and chop it as finely as possible.
  3. Chop the onion into small cubes and quickly fry in a little oil. Chop the mushrooms in the same way, add to the onions, continue frying until beautifully golden. Cool slightly.
  4. Add the chicken cut from the bone. Salt the filling. Fry until the liquid has evaporated and the color is golden brown.
  5. Cut the potato tubers into slices, sprinkle with seasonings, and add mayonnaise.
  6. Mix thoroughly and place in an even layer on the bottom of a heat-resistant dish.
  7. Add crushed garlic and finely chopped dill to the chicken mixture. Grate the cheese on a fine grater and add to the minced meat.
  8. Stuff the chicken skin pouches. Secure the edges with cooking string.
  9. Place the stuffed leg pieces on the potato layer.
  10. Cook at 180 o C, turning on the timer for 50-60 minutes.
