I offer a tasty and very simple option for lovers of chicken dishes - a recipe for cooking drumsticks in foil in the oven with aromatic herbs. This dish goes well with any side dish and vegetables.
Chicken legs in the oven under foil
A simple and satisfying dish that will appeal to adults and children. For it you will need:
- Four chicken drumsticks.
- Three tablespoons of sesame seeds.
- Sesame oil (can be replaced with any vegetable oil).
- Three spoons of dry ginger (in powder form).
- A teaspoon of sweet paprika.
- Four cloves of garlic.
- A tablespoon of sugar.
- Three tablespoons of olive oil.

- Rub the drumsticks with sesame oil and set them aside for a quarter of an hour.
- At this time, prepare the marinade. To do this, mix chopped garlic, spices, sesame seeds, sugar and olive oil.

We carefully inspect the purchased chicken legs. If necessary, remove remaining feathers and yellow, rough skin and rinse well under cool running water. Place the legs in a bowl and fill with cold water. Let it sit for about 1-2 hours. You can, of course, not soak the legs before baking, but I know that in production they are pricked with some kind of suspicious, in my opinion, solution (such as a nutrient) and by soaking them before cooking, I hope to wash off at least some part of this solution. But this is the harsh truth of modern life, and we won’t talk about the bad, and let’s get back to the recipe for making amazing chicken legs in the oven.
So, after soaking, the water must be drained. Salt and pepper the legs and add your favorite spices. In this case, I like the chicken spice mixture the most; in my opinion, this mixture goes perfectly with chicken meat. The composition includes red sweet pepper, garlic, turmeric, coriander, ginger, fenugreek, chili, white mustard, cinnamon, Roman cumin, cloves, nutmeg. Rub the legs thoroughly with spices and leave for 10 minutes so that the meat is well saturated with aromas.
Now add mayonnaise and mix with your hands so that all the legs are well coated. If you have time, you can cover the container with cling film and leave the legs to marinate in mayonnaise in the refrigerator for 2-3 hours, or you can leave it overnight. If time is limited, just coat the legs with mayonnaise and immediately proceed to the next step.
Grease a baking sheet with vegetable oil and place chicken legs on it. Place in the oven and bake for approximately 45 minutes at 200 degrees. Baking time depends on the size of the legs. From time to time, baste the legs with the released fat and mayonnaise from the bottom of the baking sheet.
When the legs acquire an appetizing golden crust, pierce the meat with a knife in the thickest place near the bone and move the knife a little to the side. If pinkish juice comes out, continue baking. And if the broth is white, then the legs are most likely already ready. Turn off the oven and after 5 minutes remove the legs. That's all, I'm sure you did it in the best possible way!
Chicken legs with aromatic herbs

- Two legs.
- Four cloves of garlic.
- Two sprigs each of rosemary and thyme.
- A tablespoon of lemon juice.
- Half a teaspoon of sugar.
- Two tablespoons of olive oil.

- Separate the chicken legs into thighs and drumsticks.
- Place the garlic, cut into rings, sugar, thyme and rosemary in a suitable size bowl. Pour lemon juice and olive oil over the ingredients.
- Rub the chicken pieces with salt and spices. After this, lift the skin, put garlic and herbs under it.
- Transfer the legs to a container and pour the remaining marinade over them. Leave the chicken alone for about one hour.
- Place a large piece of foil in a baking dish. Place the pieces on it and connect the edges in the center.

Ingredients:
- fresh frozen chicken ham – one piece;
- butter – 100 g;
- large fresh tomato - one piece;
- finely ground salt;
- onion - 1 head;
- sweet pepper - one piece;
- carrots - one medium-sized root vegetable;
- ground allspice;
- refined sunflower seed oil – 3 tablespoons. spoons;
- fresh parsley - a few sprigs.
Preparation:
- We start first by preparing the products needed to prepare this dish.
- Defrost the chicken thigh naturally. It is best to remove it from the freezer and leave it on the top shelf of the refrigerator for 10-12 hours.
- Line a fireproof dish with a large piece of aluminum foil so that you can wrap the dish completely.
- We wash the chicken leg with filtered water. We soak up excess moisture with napkins.
- We cut up the chicken meat, remove the skin and bones. Cut the sirloin into cubes, sprinkle with finely ground salt, ground allspice and spices.
- Mix the poultry meat thoroughly and place it in the mold.
- Peel the carrot root, rinse, dry and cut into strips.
- Chop the peeled onion into strips or quarters of rings.
- Mix these vegetables and place them on the chicken in a fireproof dish. There is no need to pre-heat them.
- Cut out the stem of the sweet pepper. Remove seeds, veins and wash. Cut the pepper pulp into strips. Lay out the next layer.
- Wash the tomato, dry it and cut it into slices. This will be the last layer. Immediately add the chopped herbs.
- Distribute pieces of softened butter on top.
- Now seal the foil tightly so that there are no gaps.
- Place in the oven. We will bake chicken legs with vegetables at a temperature threshold of 200°.
- Bake until the chicken is done. This will take approximately 40-50 minutes. Carefully unfold the foil and check the readiness of the dish. If necessary, put it in the oven for some more time.
Chicken drumsticks with pineapple
The original taste of this dish will definitely please your family and friends. For it you will need:
- 100 ml red semi-sweet wine.
- Two cloves of garlic.
- One jar of natural yogurt.
- A handful of walnuts.
- 100 grams of hard cheese.
- Half a can of canned pineapple.
- Three chicken legs.
- Salt and spices to taste.
Chicken legs in foil in the oven are very easy to prepare:
- Cut the legs into two parts, salt and pepper the pieces or brush with spices.
- Remove (not completely) the skin so that it can be easily put back in place.
- Cut pineapples (three quarters of the specified amount) into pieces and mix them with chopped garlic cloves.
- Using a wide knife, make several deep cuts into the meat.
- Place the prepared filling into the resulting pockets.
- Place the blanks in a bowl, fill them with pineapple juice (half a can is enough) and red wine. Marinate the chicken for one hour.
- Chop the nuts, mix them with a finely chopped clove of garlic, the remaining pineapples, grated cheese and yogurt. Apply the resulting mixture to the chicken pieces and cover the filling with the skin.
- Place the pieces on a baking sheet lined with foil and pour in the marinade. Cover the chicken with a second sheet of foil and bake for 40 minutes.
- Remove the foil, pour the juices over the chicken and bake for another ten minutes.
Serve the finished dish hot with chopped fresh vegetables or your favorite side dish.
Chicken legs with potatoes in foil in the oven

Required ingredients:
- Five chicken drumsticks.
- 500 grams of potatoes.
- Two carrots.
- One onion.
- Three cloves of garlic.
- Mayonnaise, salt, khmeli-suneli and pepper - to taste.

- Chicken legs – 0.9-1 kg
- Potatoes – 700-800 g (about 7-8 large potatoes)
- Mayonnaise – 3 tbsp. spoons
- Ketchup – 2 tbsp. spoons
- Salt – 1/2 teaspoon
- Dry herbs (dill, parsley, oregano, basil) - to taste
Prepare the chicken legs. Wash them and remove any remaining feathers. Place in the container in which you will marinate them.
Add mayonnaise, ketchup, salt, pepper and dry herbs to the chicken.
Mix everything thoroughly and leave to marinate for at least 20 minutes.
Peel the potatoes and cut into quarters.
Place baking paper on a baking sheet.
Place the marinated chicken legs on a baking sheet. Then add the potatoes to the chicken and brush them with the remaining marinade from the chicken. Sprinkle salt on each potato.
Place the chicken and potatoes in an oven preheated to 200 degrees for 1 hour.
Chicken legs with mushrooms
This easy-to-make dish has a savory taste. It is perfect for a holiday dinner or a regular family lunch. To prepare it you will need the simplest ingredients:
- 500 grams of champignons.
- 200 grams of sour cream.
- 100 grams of chicken legs.
- One clove of garlic.
- Two teaspoons of paprika.
- Salt, seasonings and pepper - to taste.

- Prepare the drumsticks by rubbing them with salt and spices. After that, soak them in sour cream for half an hour.
- Peel and chop the mushrooms as desired. Place them in a mold and sprinkle with chopped garlic.
