Sautéing the onions is an important step: you need to take a large frying pan with a sufficient layer of heated vegetable oil, pour it in and fry for about 3-5 minutes. The main thing at this stage is to do the sauteing, and not to prepare the frying; the quality of the final dish depends on this.

Step 3 . Then follows the preparation of the main ingredients - cucumbers. It is better to take juicy cucumbers directly from the garden, wash them thoroughly, cut them into 4 parts, after cutting off the ends of the vegetables.

Step 4. Next, you need to mix the sautéed onion and chopped pepper-tomato mixture and boil for 15 minutes.

Step 5. After this, add sugar, salt and vinegar, boil again, remembering to stir, for 5 minutes.

Step 6. Next, prepared cucumbers are added to the resulting marinade. They must be boiled until the color changes. At the same time, it is important to stir the ingredients at all stages so that the cooking process proceeds evenly.

Step 7. When the cucumber slices noticeably change their color, this means that it is time to sterilize and place the cucumbers in containers (glass jars).

If you use half-liter jars, then you will need 8 of these jars to twist. Cucumbers in tomato sauce are ready. For lovers of spicy or hot dishes, you can add hot peppers and store-bought seasonings, as well as herbs from the garden, to taste.

Preparation:
