Classic Caesar salad with chicken

A simple step-by-step recipe with photos that can easily be prepared at home. I really like this version of Caesar. It is simple, quick to prepare and does not require any super-duper ingredients, with the exception of Parmesan, which can be easily replaced. I highly recommend doing it.

Ingredients:

  • 200 gr. chicken fillet;
  • 1/3 baguette or white loaf;
  • 150 gr. cherry tomatoes;
  • lettuce leaves;
  • 50 gr. Parmesan cheese;
  • 3 cloves of garlic;
  • 2-3 tbsp. l. olive oil;
  • salt, pepper and other seasonings to taste.

For refueling:

  • 1 egg;
  • 30 ml olive oil;
  • 1 tsp. ready-made hot mustard;
  • 2 tbsp. l. lemon juice;
  • 1 clove of garlic;
  • 25 gr. Parmesan cheese;
  • a pinch of salt.

We start by preparing the dressing. Bring water to a boil in a small saucepan and remove from heat. Place a raw egg in it, which should be at room temperature, but not cold. Leave it in hot water for 1 minute.

Once the time has passed, catch the egg and place it in cold water. Let it cool thoroughly.

Break the prepared egg and garlic into a separate bowl or blender. Pour in the oil, lemon juice, add salt, add hot mustard and finely grated cheese.

Beat all ingredients into a homogeneous mass.

Rinse the chicken fillet thoroughly, remove veins and films, and wipe dry with a paper towel.

Heat a small amount of oil in a frying pan. Place the fillet and fry it on both sides until golden brown. How to check whether the meat is ready or not? Cut it at the thickest point and if clear juice comes out, the fillet is ready. If it is pinkish when cut, with an admixture of ichor, then it will need to be finished cooking.

At the end of cooking, add salt and pepper to the fillet.

Now let's prepare the crackers. For them, I always take a baguette or a white loaf. Cut it into cubes and place them on a dry, clean baking sheet in one layer. The baking tray does not need to be greased with anything.

Crush a few cloves of garlic with a knife and lightly fry it in oil for about 3-5 minutes. It is necessary that the oil absorbs the garlic aroma thoroughly.

Remove the garlic and grease the crackers with oil. I do this with a pastry brush.

Place the prepared crackers in an oven preheated to 180° and fry them until they become golden and crispy.

Tear well-washed lettuce leaves onto a dish. Pour half of the dressing over them and mix them well. Do this very carefully so as not to crush the delicate leaves and turn them into a washcloth.

Cut the chicken fillet diagonally into long, thin pieces and place on top of the salad.

Cut the cherry tomatoes in half and also place on the salad. At the very end, lay out the crackers.

Sprinkle everything with finely grated cheese.

Using a paring knife, cut several thin slices of cheese and place them on the surface. Pour plenty of sauce over it.

Let the Caesar brew for 30-40 minutes and you can call everyone to the table!

I’m sure no one will refuse such a delicious treat!
