How to wash apples from children's clothes and remove apple juice stains

Features of removing apple stains from clothes

The apple is an interesting and very healthy fruit; it contains a large amount of iron.
There is even an opinion that due to the content of this element, an apple when cut takes on a rusty tint. In fact, iron has no effect on the darkening of the pulp, but this process occurs due to the content of enzymes that oxidize polyphenols when interacting with oxygen. The apple darkens not only when cut, but also purees and natural juices will have a darker shade. And when they get on children's clothes, brown marks remain.

Stains from apple juice, puree or fresh fruit can be removed from children's clothes using both household chemicals and folk remedies. Of course, it will be much easier to remove a fresh stain from an apple than one that has become ingrained over time. Also important is the type of fabric and its color.

With white clothes

If an apple stain is found on white clothes, many housewives believe that it will not be difficult to remove it using bleaching household chemicals. In fact, when washing children's clothes, it is necessary to use only substances that are safe for children, which are difficult to include products containing chlorine.

To remove an apple stain on white, given that the fabric is natural, it is best to use special powders. In addition, it is advisable to first soak the baby item in warm water for at least 2 hours. After soaking, the clothes are transferred to the washing machine and the wash cycle is turned on in the appropriate mode.

White children's clothing that is quite heavily soiled from applesauce or juice can be bleached using a vinegar solution. This method is best used only for stubborn or old stains. After bleaching with vinegar and subsequent washing, it is advisable to air the children's clothes outside so that the vinegar smell completely disappears.

It is better to wash off apple stains on white delicate fabrics using laundry soap. To do this, you need to soak the baby item for at least 1.5 hours in a soap solution, and then put it in the wash with the addition of a small amount of baby powder.

With colored clothes

It will be more difficult to remove an apple stain from a natural colored fabric, as it may lose color. The most gentle way to remove stains from colors is to use salt. It will not affect the color of clothes and effectively neutralizes pollution.

Salt alone cannot remove apple stains from colored delicate fabrics. In this case, a solution of glycerin and vodka will help. These substances will perfectly remove dirt and will not cause color fading.

  • Powder. So, if the traces are completely fresh, there is no need to invent anything. Simply wet the contaminated area with warm water, cover with powder and wait two hours. Then wash the product in a washing machine with the addition of the same powder.
  • Laundry soap. A fresh stain can be treated with soap and after 2 hours you can get rid of it by washing the item in warm water, or you can prepare a special solution and solve the problem with its help. Just dissolve a piece of laundry soap in warm milk, dip your clothes in the resulting solution and wash them.
  • Vinegar and boiling water. Again, if the stain is recent, you can use this effective method. Simply stretch the “damaged” product over the pan, then dissolve a tablespoon of vinegar in a mug of boiling water and pour the resulting solution over the contaminated areas. Continue doing this until there is nothing left of the stains. Very small traces can be removed with a cotton swab dipped in vinegar.
  • Lemon acid. This wonderful method will help remove not only fresh stains, but also those that are already several days old. So, take a basin, put the product in it and fill the contaminated area with a small pile of citric acid. After this, pour boiling water over the stain so that a “sour puddle” forms, in which there will be traces of apples, and leave for ten minutes. Then wash and rinse the product in warm water. If after the procedure the impurities are not completely removed, try to “finish off” them using the first or second method.
  • Vodka and glycerin. The problem under consideration can be solved using vodka mixed with glycerin (1:1). Simply soak a clean white cloth or cotton swab in the prepared solution, thoroughly treat the stain and leave for 5-8 minutes. After this time, wash your clothes in warm water as usual.
  • Water and ammonia. This method of cleaning clothes is very similar to the previous one. Ordinary water is mixed with ammonia in equal quantities, the solution is applied to the contaminated area and after 5 minutes the clothes are washed in warm water with powder or soap.
  • Vanish. Many housewives claim that this particular product helped them cope with the problem in question. To remove marks, you must first pour liquid vanish onto the stain and leave for 20-30 minutes. Immediately after soaking, you need to wash your clothes in a washing machine with the addition of this product.

Apple juice stain on different fabric

Apple juice staining on different fabrics requires an appropriate approach. It is important to remember that the sooner the fight against traces of apples on clothing begins, the more effective it will be. In addition, you should always pay attention to the type of fabric and how to care for it, which can be found on the label of the textile item.

It is also worth considering the following recommendations:

  • delicate and thin fabrics require the most gentle methods;
  • if possible, the use of abrasive compounds should be completely eliminated;
  • To remove applesauce stains from artificial leather, use a soap solution;
  • Hot milk and ordinary washing will help in the fight against stains on cotton fabric;
  • you can try boiling a piece of clothing (if the fabric allows it);
  • alcohol-containing solutions can be harmful to a large number of materials.

As mentioned earlier, there are many ways to wash an apple from clothes, and each of them can cope with contamination in one or two times. Below are the most effective ways to wash an apple:

  • Washing powder. There is no need to figure out how to remove a stain from an apple if it was placed quite recently and is still fresh. In such a situation, it is enough to use a good washing powder. You can soak the clothes in a powder solution if the stain is small or you are visiting, or wash the item in the washing machine, then dry it and make sure that the apple juice stain has completely disappeared.
  • Soap. How to wash apples from children's clothes that require special treatment? The best option is to use laundry soap with high acidity. This is a safe and effective remedy against any stains. After this soaking, the clothes can be washed additionally.
  • Ammonia. How to remove apple juice stains as quickly as possible and without leaving any traces? There is a good remedy - an aqueous solution of ammonia. This substance must be mixed with water in equal proportions. Before removing the apple stain, prepare several cotton swabs. They need to be soaked in a solution of ammonia and applied to the apple juice stain. After this treatment, the clothes are washed.
  • Acetic acid. How to remove stains from apples if the stain appeared just a couple of hours ago, and you are at home, where you have unlimited funds? You can use the original recipe - pull the clothes over the pan so that the juice stain is in the middle. Before removing an apple stain, heat a mug of water to boiling water and dilute a little vinegar in the water. Now pour the solution over the item stretched over the pan. The stain is guaranteed to disappear right before your eyes, but may need to be repeated.
  • Glycerin and vodka. How to wash off apple juice if you don’t have acetic acid on your farm? Surely there is glycerin and vodka - products that work well in tandem. Before removing an apple stain, you need to mix vodka and glycerin in equal proportions and bring it to a homogeneous state, and only then treat the stain left by apple juice. You need to let the thing sit for 5-10 minutes.
  • Lemon acid. Are you interested in how to remove apple stains using improvised products that you can find at home? Citric acid fits the description well! Before washing off the apple juice, select a container that will fit your clothes, then place the item in it with the stain facing up. How to remove stains from an apple with citric acid? Simply sprinkle it onto the surface of the stain and lightly moisten it with water. 10 minutes is enough for the stain to almost completely disappear. All that remains is to wash the item.

The ways to remove apple stains do not end there. You can also use oxalic acid, hydrogen peroxide (a good way to remove apple stains from the surface of white things), as well as other folk remedies that have been around for a long time. Now it remains to figure out how to remove apple stains from clothes if there is no desire or opportunity to use folk recipes. There is only one way out - household chemicals.

To work with children's clothing, especially when the child is very small and is not even a year old, it is necessary to use safe specialized products. In this case, we will use children's washing powder.

We suggest you read: How you can quickly and efficiently remove a stain on artificial leather. A child plays with apples.

In order to remove stains from apples, it must be thoroughly moistened with warm water, then pour baby powder directly onto the stains and leave to soak for a couple of hours. After the specified time has passed, it is necessary to wash the items manually or automatically, using the same safe powder for children's clothing.

If such powder is not currently available, you can use traditional laundry soap, which is always at hand. To wash things with soap, we follow the same scheme: first we wash the stain, thoroughly rubbing it with a bar of soap, then let it soak thoroughly for a couple of hours, and then wash it in warm water at room temperature.

To make things white, some housewives even wash them in warm milk, in which laundry soap has previously been dissolved.

In many cases, you can even avoid the appearance of such stains on children's clothing by simply putting a bib or a small apron on the child. It will be appropriate even in cases where you give him puree from tubes for self-squeezing, which are mainly made from apples or pears.

As you can see, there are plenty of opportunities to remove traces of apples or apple juice from things. Choose the recipe that suits you and calmly remove traces of the delicious fruit.

As a rule, products for children have light shades, so you should immediately learn about the features of removing stains from white things. Before you wash apple stains on children's clothing, you need to take into account the color, fabric composition and recommended washing temperature. Light-colored dresses and shirts are much easier to clean, although they get dirty faster.

Surely everyone has noticed how quickly a cut apple darkens in the air. Some even believe that it is “rust” due to the high iron content. In fact, this happens due to the enzymes necessary to protect the fruit from various microorganisms. Even apple dishes, as well as fabric products that come into contact with the fruit, acquire a brown color.

Getting an apple (juice or puree) on your clothing results in a permanent dark stain that is difficult to remove. To neutralize the effect of enzymes, it is necessary to soak the product as quickly as possible, and only then wash it with powder. Rinse things exclusively in warm water: cold water will not be able to remove dirt, and too hot a liquid (more than 80 degrees) will ruin the material.

Purchased funds

Are you wondering how to remove apple stains from clothes when choosing from a wide range of household products? There are fewer options here than when using traditional methods. Here's how to remove an apple stain at home:

  • Bleach. The main way to remove apple stains on children's clothes. You should use oxygen-containing products, which are more effective and do not leave yellow marks, as happens when using chlorine bleaches. Whiteness must be used strictly according to the instructions.
  • Stain remover. A more universal remedy than removing apple juice from children's clothes and adult things. A good stain remover is suitable for both white and colored items made from various fabrics. As with bleach, when using it, you must strictly follow the instructions on the package.

That's all - you will no longer have a question about how to remove apple juice stains on your favorite things.

Each housewife has her own methods for combating various stains, and stains from an apple, juice or puree from this fruit are no exception. As a rule, these methods are mostly traditional, and the components that are required to remove contamination are found in almost any home.

As already described above, ordinary table salt helps to effectively remove only fresh stains from an apple or products made from it. And as soon as a small amount of apple juice or puree has dripped onto colored clothes, you should immediately pour salt on this place and leave it like that for 5 minutes. After this step, you need to wash the children's clothes using washing powder or a special conditioner.

It is especially recommended to use salt if apple juice or puree is dripped onto children's clothing made of colored natural fabric, since this method is the most gentle and works well if done in a timely manner.

Vinegar also works quite well to remove fresh apple stains from clothes, for this:

  1. Straighten clothes well at the bottom of a basin or other container.
  2. Mix 1 tbsp. l. from 1 tbsp. boiling water
  3. The resulting solution should be poured onto the stain until it disappears completely.
  4. The clothes are then thoroughly rinsed and placed in the washing machine.

Citric acid will help remove not only fresh stains, but also those that have been on clothes for more than 2 days. To do this you need to do the following:

  1. Children's clothes are placed in a basin.
  2. Sprinkle citric acid onto the stain until it is completely covered.
  3. Pour a little boiling water over the citric acid.
  4. So, leave it for 10 minutes.
  5. Then rinse the item and put it in the washing machine.

The removal method with ammonia is somewhat reminiscent of the method using vinegar:

  1. Ammonia is mixed with water in equal quantities.
  2. Pour the resulting solution onto the stain and leave for about 5 minutes.
  3. Afterwards, wash the solution off the children's clothing and rinse it with warm water.

Be sure to wash children's clothes using soap or washing powder, and then hang them outside until completely dry and weathered.

Glycerin and vodka together do an excellent job of removing stains. In order to remove stains from apple juice, puree or fresh fruit from children's things, you need to:

  1. Mix glycerin and vodka in a 1:1 ratio.
  2. The resulting solution is applied to the fabric with gentle pressing movements using a sponge or a small piece of foam rubber.
  3. Leave the wetted area for no more than 10 minutes, after which it is rinsed and the children's clothes are put in the washing machine, setting the appropriate washing mode.

This method is considered quite effective, and it does not harm things, so its use is recommended for colored delicate fabrics.

Even though folk remedies effectively deal with apple stains on children's things, there are still supporters of using purchased products. The market today is so wide that in a specialized store you can find absolutely any product to combat marks on things from fruits, vegetables and other contaminants. Naturally, when choosing any household chemicals, you must first of all be guided by the color and type of the fabric itself.

Washing powder

The simplest household chemical that can be used to wash applesauce, juice or other dirt is regular laundry detergent. Using the powder, you can easily remove fresh traces of an apple, naturally, if you follow all the manufacturer’s recommendations. In most cases, washing powder is quite effective if it is diluted in a small amount of water and the dirty item is soaked in the resulting soap solution for 2 hours. After this procedure, you will also need to wash the item and rinse it well.

Stain removers

When choosing household chemicals for washing children's clothes, safety is an important aspect. Therefore, preference should be given to stain removers that do not contain chlorine or other aggressive substances.

Among the variety of stain removers, according to many reviews, a product called “Vanish” does an excellent job of removing apple and other stains.

This product is applied to the stain and waited for 30 minutes, after which the fabric product is rinsed and put in the washing machine. After washing, no dirt should remain.

Folk remedies - effective and safe removal of contaminants from any material. Depending on the freshness and intensity of the stains, different methods of dealing with them may be needed.

Fresh tracks

Fresh marks are the easiest to clean. That is why, if there is time and opportunity, it is best to immediately begin the fight against pollution. The first and easiest way is to quickly place the cloth with the stain under a stream of hot water (the contaminated area should be under pressure).

If it is not possible to completely get rid of the contamination, the following methods will be useful:

  1. Stretch the contaminated item over a container, such as a basin or large saucepan. Carefully pour the solution on top of the stain. It needs to be made from a spoonful of vinegar, which is diluted in a glass of water.
  2. Use a piece of cloth or cotton swab dipped in vinegar. This method is especially good if there are small or pinpoint stains on colored clothing.
  3. Dampen the stain with lemon juice and wash the item thoroughly in warm water by hand.

In addition, you can immediately soak the item with a fresh stain in cold mineral water. An alternative is a solution of baking soda and water. After 20-30 minutes, you can wash the item of clothing in hot water. Instead of powder, you can use dishwashing liquid.

Old stains

Old stains appear in cases where it is not possible to immediately begin removing stains from apple juice or puree. Don't worry, you can remove dried stains. Proven methods will help with this:

  1. Lemon acid. This is a unique remedy that helps with various old stains. The washing process is extremely simple: you need to put the item in a basin or pan, sprinkle it generously with acid until a slide forms. Pour a little boiling water on top of the stains and leave to soak for 25-30 minutes. After this, children's clothes must be washed in a suitable way.
  2. Glycerin and vodka. Both products need to be taken in equal quantities, mixed and applied to the stained area (to do this, use a cotton pad or a piece of rag). After 5-10 minutes, you can wash the clothes in warm water with the addition of baby laundry detergent or laundry soap shavings.
  3. Ammonia and water. Both products are mixed in equal quantities. The solution should be applied to the contaminated area for 2-3 minutes. After this, the clothes must be washed in soapy water by hand. This method works well for white items.
  4. Ammonia and hydrogen peroxide. First, you need to thoroughly moisten the stain in a 3% hydrogen peroxide solution. Then the old stain should be wiped with a piece of cotton wool soaked in ammonia. Now all that remains is to rinse the product in warm water.

Purchased products are a modern alternative to folk remedies. There is a huge variety of household chemicals on the market, so finding a product to combat traces of apples is quite easy. When choosing, you should be guided by the type and color of the fabric. For thin and delicate, white and colored fabrics, commercial chemicals are presented in a small variety.

Before you start fighting a stain from apple juice or puree, you should check the effectiveness of the product. A spare piece of fabric or an inconspicuous place on a piece of clothing is suitable for this. If there are no signs of deformation or fading, you can safely use the selected solution. You need to be especially careful with synthetic, delicate and colored fabrics.

It is quite possible to clean clothes from apple juice or puree, especially if you act as quickly as possible after contamination. Each of the above methods will be effective. It’s worth choosing the right one depending on the type of fabric, intensity of contamination, and also taking into account the availability of a specific product in the house.

Natural juices are healthy for both adults and children. Everyone loves to drink them, but it’s not always possible to drink the drink without spilling a drop. Stains from juices, especially apple juice, are quite difficult to remove. Silk, like other delicate fabrics, cannot be tolerated, because a trace of spilled apple juice can threaten them with permanent exile to the village, or even the trash can.

Assessment of the problem and adequate choice of a way out of the current situation

Stains on the surface of children's clothes most often appear during eating.

All sorts of contamination from fresh vegetables and fruits, homemade and store-bought juices very often occur on children's clothing. For certain groups of stains, different cleaning methods and means are provided.

In general, the arsenal of cleaning “materials” looks like this:

  • baby powder;
  • lemon acid;
  • potassium permanganate;
  • milk;
  • bleach;
  • hydrogen peroxide;
  • soda;
  • salt;
  • vinegar;
  • laundry soap.

To remove stains, you can also purchase special concentrated children's bleaches in the store. There are no restrictions or preferences for a particular brand in terms of effectiveness and safety.

Removing apple stains from children's clothes

Traces of an apple on children's clothing must be eliminated using exclusively safe methods. Apple juices and purees are a favorite treat for many children, so traces of them on clothes are observed quite often. To eliminate them, you should use gentle methods. Using strong chemical solutions or commercial stain removers is a bad solution. All this can harm the baby's skin.

The easiest way is to use laundry soap. They need to rub the dirty area, then soak the cloth in soapy water for 1.5-2 hours. After this time, the item of clothing must be washed. You can do this manually or use a washing machine.

try using laundry soap. You should thoroughly rub the trace of the drop with a soap bar and leave the clothes in warm water for 2-3 hours;

instead of soap, powder for washing children's clothes is suitable; the soiled item should also be soaked for 2-3 hours;

if the stain doesn’t come off well, try pouring hot milk on the baby’s clothes (this is an excellent natural bleach) and, again, leave for 1.5 hours or longer;

In addition to hot milk, you can take whey, sour milk or yogurt.

There is a very effective way to remove stains - steam. The soiled cloth should be stretched over a pan of boiling water and the contaminated area should be poured with a vinegar solution (1 teaspoon per glass of water). Repeat the procedure until the trace of juice disappears completely.

Wipe off dirt with a lemon slice. Lemon instantly whitens traces of natural dyes. Then you need to rinse the fabric well so as not to spoil the color of the clothes;

moisten a swab with a solution of citric acid (1 teaspoon per glass of water) and apply to the stain for 25-30 minutes, after which be sure to rinse and wash;

cover the trace of juice with citric acid, pour boiling water, leave for 25 minutes, and then rinse thoroughly;

prepare a solution of glycerin with alcohol (or vodka) in equal proportions, lubricate the stain, leave the product for 10 minutes, and then wash with the addition of powder with enzymes;

remove the apple trace with a solution of ammonia (1 tablespoon per tablespoon of water). Moisten a swab with the product and apply to the contaminated area for 5 minutes. Then wash the item in warm water. You need to remove stains with ammonia with the window open and try not to inhale harmful ammonia fumes.

If you can immediately react to the appearance of apple stains on things, then that’s just great. The methodology for removing fresh contamination from an apple is very simple:

  • Boil a kettle of water.
  • We stretch the soiled clothes onto a basin or pan so that the stain is on top. It is advisable to secure it more firmly, but we will still work with boiling water.
  • We systematically pour boiling water over the stains in a thin stream, and observe how traces of the apple first turn pale and then are completely removed.
  • To consolidate the result, we send the items to the wash.

Boiling water is not suitable for all fabrics; some are simply afraid of it. In this case, you can use table salt, which should be sprinkled generously on the stain. Further washing in a soapy solution will completely remove traces of apples or apple juice from clothing.

You can use vinegar to combat unwanted apple stains. To do this, it should be diluted with water, approximately 1 tablespoon of vinegar per 1 standard 250 ml glass of water. You need to pour the resulting solution onto the stain, which is more convenient to do by securing the clothes to a basin or pan, as in the boiling water method.

Large ripe apple
Removing fresh stains is not always possible immediately; sometimes it is simply not physically possible to remove stains. But you shouldn’t despair, there are a number of ways to remove old apple stains from things:

  • You can remove stains with citric acid. To do this, load the clothes into the basin with the dirt facing up. Take out a packet of citric acid and sprinkle the apple traces with the powder. Then pour a little hot water directly onto the powder so that the acid begins to dissolve in it. For the acid to work, you will need to wait 10-15 minutes, after which you can begin washing and rinsing clothes in warm water.
  • Ammonia is a great way to remove traces of apple juice. This chemical is not suitable for use in a concentrated state, so before use it should be diluted with water in a ratio of 1 to 1. Use the resulting solution to treat apple stains and leave the items to soak for 5-10 minutes. After the allotted time, we create a soap solution that will completely remove all dirt.
  • An interesting recipe for removing stains from pears, apples and some other fruits is based on a mixture of vodka and glycerin. To create a cleaning composition, you need to mix these two ingredients in equal proportions. Then moisten a cloth or cotton pad in the resulting mixture and carefully treat the stain. The product will not work immediately, you need to wait 5-10 minutes, after which you can send the clothes to be washed as usual. Washing will completely remove all stains.

In addition to homemade recipes, you should definitely consider using household chemicals. For example, the well-known Vanish is perfect for removing most stains from colored items. For whites, oxygen-containing bleaches should be used, as they are currently the most effective and gentle on clothing.

Chlorine-based bleaches are already obsolete, but in the case of terrible stains, in extreme cases, they can still be used. However, you should not overuse them, as they lead to rapid aging of the tissue.

You should know how to remove stains from apple juice and puree so as not to spoil the fabric and harm the baby’s health. As already mentioned, you need to take into account the cleaning temperature and the type of material. Items made from natural fabrics are much easier to clean, and you can use anything: baking soda, lemon juice, alcohol, soap, various powders and gels. Synthetic products will have to be given a little more time so as not to spoil them.

Any method of dealing with stains will give a positive result if you do not delay washing for too long. It is advisable to begin to act immediately after the child has stained his clothes with food from the fruit. How to remove a stain from an apple using available products:

  1. Vinegar essence and hot water. In a glass of boiling water you need to dilute 1 tbsp. l. vinegar, and then treat the dirty area with a slightly cooled solution. For convenience, you can stretch the fabric onto a deep plate and use the liquid several times until the stain is completely dissolved. The remains should be carefully rubbed with a cotton pad soaked in vinegar.
  2. Lemon. Citrus juice, citric acid or a slice of lemon will help remove even old apple stains. You need to rub lemon on the contaminated area and leave for 20-30 minutes, then wash. For old stains, citric acid is suitable, which is mixed with water to form a paste. The resulting mixture is used to treat the stains, wait 15-25 minutes and rinse the item in warm water.
  3. Ammonia. The product is suitable for wool and delicate fabrics. A spoonful of alcohol is diluted with the same amount of warm water and the stains are treated with a cotton pad. After 5 minutes, the clothes are washed with powder manually or using a washing machine.
  4. Glycerin and vodka. Alcohol and glycerin are first mixed in equal proportions, after which the solution is applied to the stains and left for 10 minutes. As usual, at the end you need to wash the clothes with powder and dry them.
  5. Milk and laundry soap. An excellent product for delicate, light-colored baby clothes. A piece of soap is grated on a fine grater and dissolved in a liter of hot milk. The products are soaked in the resulting mixture for 60-80 minutes, and then rinsed thoroughly in water. Many housewives claim that even milk without soap will help remove brown spots.

Apple juice is instantly absorbed and turns the fabric fibers brown. In such cases, you should act immediately: wash the stain with hot water, and then rub the fabric with soap or moisten it with lemon juice.

It is recommended to always keep several bars of laundry soap at home. It is perfect for almost all fabrics and removes dirt well, without spoiling the color and structure of the material.

Household chemicals

Synthetic and natural products can be washed with household chemicals. First you need to remove the stain with warm water, and only then soak it with the product. How to remove apple juice and traces of puree from children’s things if you don’t want to experiment with homemade recipes:

  • BOS powder;
  • Antipyatin soap;
  • bleach 5 Bio Active;
  • Eared Nanny;
  • Vanish powder or solution for things.

The product should be completely soaked in the powder, and the dirt should be lightly rubbed. Soap, bleach and solution are applied locally, being careful not to touch clean areas. After this, the entire item should be rinsed thoroughly.

How to remove an old stain?

Old stains are much more difficult to remove and therefore cleaning methods are more radical than in the case of fresh stains. In general, ideally you need to use specialized purchased products, but you always want to save money, and specialized products are chemicals, that is, they are harmful.

This is not a problem, because you can use traditional methods that are almost as effective as “chemical” ones. Traditional methods include:

  • use of citric acid;
  • ammonia;
  • glycerin with alcohol or, as a last resort, vodka;
  • regular boiling water.

The last option involves using boiling water with gentle detergents. It is advisable to purchase baby detergents for such purposes, as they are well tolerated by “delicate fabrics” and are hypoallergenic.

Lemon acid

Citric acid itself is effective, but to enhance the effect, we recommend mixing it with oxalic acid. As for removing apple juice stains with citric acid, you need to act in stages:

  1. Pour citric acid onto the stained area so that it completely covers its area and forms a small “slide.”
  2. Carefully pour water onto the pile of citric acid until you get a paste.
  3. Leave the product without touching it for 10-15 minutes for chemical reactions to occur.
  4. After 15 minutes, hand wash the product in warm water.

Ammonia

Ammonia is best for cleaning delicate or woolen fabrics, but it is best not to use this method first. Use it only when the citric acid method has proven ineffective. We remove stains with ammonia step by step:

  1. We dilute a tablespoon of ammonia in 1 tablespoon of warm water.
  2. We soak a cotton swab or disk in the prepared solution (or, in extreme cases, a clean cloth).
  3. Carefully treat the stains and leave the product for 5-7 minutes.
  4. After this, we wash the clothes by hand in warm water, using laundry soap or any washing powder.

A solution based on citric acid (fresh) and soda/sugar is very effective and safe for the fabric structure.

Ammonia can be mixed with hydrogen peroxide and then the effect will be a little stronger. First of all, we wet the stain in a 3% solution of hydrogen peroxide, wait a little and wipe the stained area with a cotton swab soaked in ammonia.

Next, all that remains is to thoroughly rinse the product in warm, clean water. Sometimes it is enough to treat only with a peroxide solution, especially if the stain is small and has not become embedded in the fabric (some types of clothing do not absorb apple juice well).

Glycerin and alcohol

Another effective way to remove apple stains. Instead of alcohol, you can use vodka, but then there is a risk of damage to clothes, so pure alcohol is an ideal option. We dilute glycerin and alcohol in a ratio of 1 to 1. Next, we proceed to processing the contamination:

  1. We wet a cotton swab or disk in the prepared solution.
  2. Carefully wipe the stain with cotton wool.
  3. Leave the product for 10-12 minutes (during this time a chemical reaction will occur when glycerin and alcohol interact with the stain).
  4. We wash the product manually using laundry soap or any washing powder. Please note: washing powder may contain abrasive particles, which means it is better not to use it for delicate items. Therefore, carefully study the tags on the clothes that you are going to wash.

Boiling water

Regular boiling gives impressive results even on old stains. This method is ideal for cotton items, which is great because T-shirts, which are most often stained by apple juice, are mostly made of cotton.

Boiling can also be used to wash white tissues, but this should be a one-time procedure and not a regular procedure. Otherwise you will ruin your clothes. Contaminated clothing should be boiled for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally with a wooden spatula.

After this, we leave the clothes to cool, and then wash them manually using laundry soap or any washing powder.

You can also soak clothes in a solution of citric or oxalic acid, leaving them in the solution overnight. Afterwards, you need to manually wash the soaked clothes with soap or any washing powder. You need to add 2 grams of citric or oxalic acid to a glass of water.

Machine washable

Before washing any product, it is advisable to check the labels and study the information on them. If the use of the machine is acceptable, you can safely load children's rompers and T-shirts into it. It is important to take into account the permissible temperature and choose the appropriate product. It is not recommended to expose water to a temperature of more than 60 degrees, otherwise the fabric may shrink greatly.

For an automatic machine, choose suitable products, that is, powders and gels intended for hand washing are not suitable. In some cases, the device is not able to remove serious stains, so before removing stains from apple juice and puree, you need to treat them with bleach or soap. Preventive measures

It will most likely not be possible to prevent stains on your baby’s clothes for obvious reasons. It wouldn’t hurt to learn the following tips and remember to use them:

  1. Do not rub dirt. You should not try to wipe off a fresh stain with a dry cloth, otherwise dark marks will definitely remain. It is better to immediately rinse the product under warm water and then soak the clothes.
  2. Act quickly. Under no circumstances should products be left for several days. Fresh stains are washed best, after a maximum of 20-30 minutes. Within a few hours, the apple is deeply absorbed into the fibers of the fabric, so removal will take much longer.
  3. Use bibs. Getting your home t-shirts and rompers dirty is not as bad as getting your party dress or shirt dirty. When giving your baby an apple, you can use a bib, napkin or baby apron that will protect clothes from food.

There are plenty of opportunities to avoid stains. Don't be upset if your baby manages to get his new T-shirt or blouse dirty. Knowing how to remove a stain from an apple, you can easily and quickly deal with the problem.

Washing is a daily process for many women. Dark stains on children's clothing are often scary because they are not so easy to remove. There are several effective folk and ready-made remedies that can easily restore the whiteness of products. The main thing is to remember the baby’s safety. Some products can cause irritation, so after removing stains, you should wash the product several times in clean water.

Carpets and rugs

It will be possible to remove traces from the carpet if the contamination is detected in time. First, juice stains are blotted with a dry cloth so that they do not spread over the entire surface. Then prepare a solution for carpets from shampoo and water, following the instructions suggested by the manufacturer. If juice stains are difficult to remove, prepare a mixture of glycerin and vodka. The components are mixed equally, a cotton swab is moistened in the solution and passed over the stain, and washed off after 10 minutes.

Another interesting way to clean carpets is using carbonated mineral water. It prevents pigments from becoming embedded in the fibers. But the method is good for early detection of the stain.

After the procedure, it is important to dry the carpet properly. It is recommended to place a towel on the wet area and press it down with a heavy one. Once the moisture is absorbed, the towel is replaced. By analogy, paper napkins are used.
