Marshmallow cake is incredibly easy to make, as it does not require the use of exotic ingredients, heat treatment or lengthy manipulations during decoration.
Required components:
- marshmallows (white) – 0.4 kg;
- chocolate glaze - optional;
- persimmon (hard) – 1 pc.;
- granulated sugar – 65 g;
- two bananas;
- nuts (walnuts) – 100 g;
- a pinch of vanillin;
- sour cream (20%) – 0.3 kg.
Cooking:
- Divide the marshmallows into two halves. Of these, you should choose the most beautiful ones (8 - 10 pieces) - they will be used to decorate the cake, and cut the rest in half.
- To make the cream, you need to combine sour cream with vanilla and sugar, and then grind with a mixer until a dense mass is formed. Place the whipped product in the refrigerator for thirty minutes.
- Wash the persimmons and cut into thin slices, peel and chop the bananas into slices.
- Afterwards, spread the marshmallows in one layer on a large plate and spread them with cooled cream.
- Then add persimmon slices, then marshmallows and generously cover them with whipped sour cream. Place sliced bananas on top and place the pastry halves, reserved for decoration.
- Now you should pour the remaining cream over the cake and put it in a cold room for two hours so that it is well soaked.
It is recommended to decorate the finished treat with chocolate icing and sprinkle with crushed nuts. It is advisable to serve a marshmallow cake without baking with hot tea or black coffee.
Preparation
Initially, all products are prepared. The tops of the marshmallows are cut off and set aside. You will need them to decorate the cake. The rest of the marshmallows are cut into thin slices. To make the task easier, you should wet the knife with hot water.
Fruits need to be washed. Strawberries are peeled from the stems and cut into small pieces. The kiwi is peeled and the fruit is cut into thin slices. The nuts are shelled and crushed.
To prepare the cream, mix the cream and sugar (or powdered sugar) and beat well.
Next, the ingredients are laid out in layers in a springform pan. Each of them is smeared with cream.
Marshmallow slices are laid out in a dense layer on the bottom. Next comes strawberries. Then again you need to put a layer of marshmallows, lightly press it with your hands. Nuts are sprinkled on top. They are also covered with marshmallows, which again need to be slightly pressed down. The next layer is kiwi. And at the end, the tops of the marshmallows are laid out on the very top.
The finished marshmallow cake with cream is placed in the refrigerator for soaking for 2-4 hours. Before serving, it can be decorated with candied fruits and chocolate chips or icing.
With added cookies
An excellent delicacy that will win the hearts of even the most sophisticated sweet tooth is an airy dessert made from cookies, marshmallows and cottage cheese. The base of the cake can be fruit or chocolate marshmallows, and the cream for it is best made from fresh medium-fat cream.
Required components:
- vanilla cookies – 220 g;
- cream (30%) – 320 ml;
- marshmallows (any color) – 0.5 kg;
- milk – 0.2 l;
- sugar – 85 g;
- cottage cheese (soft) – 180 g;
- fresh berries (strawberries or raspberries) – 400 g;
- three sprigs of mint.
Cooking:
- Soak the cookies in milk and place them in an even layer on a square dish.
- Separate the marshmallow halves from each other, then cut each of them into two pieces and place on the cookies.
- Whip the cream together with sugar, then add cottage cheese and a few marshmallow slices, then thoroughly grind the resulting mixture again.
- Then lubricate the spread out products with the resulting mixture.
- Rinse the berries with water, dry and place on a cream of marshmallows, cream and cottage cheese.
- Then you need to repeat all the layers, starting with the cookies.
- In the end, all that remains is to completely cover the product with cream and leave it in the refrigerator for 3 - 4 hours.
Before serving, decorate the cake with marshmallow slices, berries and mint leaves. This treat will go well with cool juice or fresh cocoa.
How to cook
First, peel the fruit and cut it into thin slices. A few pieces should be set aside to decorate the cake. The glued marshmallows are divided into two parts.
The cottage cheese for the cream is ground twice through a sieve. Add 350 g of cream and fruit syrup. All components are whipped until a homogeneous consistency is obtained.
Place one layer of marshmallows in a springform pan. It should be covered with cream. Then the fruits are placed in thin layers one at a time, or mixed together. They are also lubricated with cream. Next comes the next layer of marshmallows. The cake is covered with cream and decorated with pieces of fruit. The next stage: jelly is made from water, sugar and gelatin, which is carefully poured into the dessert.
The chewy marshmallow cake is left in the refrigerator overnight (10-12 hours) to harden. Then the form is removed.
From the remaining 150 g of cream and powdered sugar, whip the cream. The sides of the cake are covered with it and sprinkled with coconut flakes.
