  4. Now we come to the most important thing, the preparation: lightly coat the mold with oil, place the rolled out dough on it, pierce it in several places with a fork so that during the baking process the dough fits well and does not tear. Arrange the apple slices, then sprinkle them with a mixture of sugar and almonds.
  5. In principle, you can complete the process here, leaving the pie open. If the second layer has defrosted and you don’t want to put it back in the freezer, you can use it for decoration.
  6. Roll out the remaining layer and cut into thin strips. You can make a kind of braid, simply lay it out crosswise or diagonally. The taste will not suffer at all even if you cover it with a whole rolled out layer, pinching the edges. But in this case, do not forget to pierce the top layer with a fork.

  • Fresh apples – 2 pieces;
  • Fresh pears – 2 pieces;
  • Cognac – 1 tbsp. spoon;
  • Granulated sugar – 150 grams;
  • One chicken egg;
  • 50 grams of almonds;
  • Butter.

How to cook:

  1. Divide the base dough into a couple of parts and roll out into two identical layers so that they fit the size of the baking sheet;
  2. Wash apples and pears, remove skins and seeds. Cut them into thin slices;
  3. Place the fruit slices in a cup, pour over the cognac and stir;
  4. Grease a baking sheet with butter and place one rolled out layer on it;
  5. Lay out the fruit slices and sprinkle generously with granulated sugar;

  1. Take the dough out of the refrigerator to defrost.
  2. Peel the potatoes, cut into small cubes and boil until tender. Whether you mash it or put it directly into the pie in cubes is a matter of your taste, so you can either mash the potatoes or simply drain the water and leave to cool.
