I have one simple recipe that will not leave you indifferent. You've probably tried delicious chicken in teriyaki sauce. More often, such dishes can be found in restaurants or food service outlets where they sell shawarma, rolls, or pizza. This is a quick and delicious dish! We often cook teriyaki chicken with rice, but it can also be udon with teriyaki chicken. Today, I will show you a simple recipe for chicken in teriyaki sauce. How and with what to eat it is up to you to decide!

Teriyaki chicken is a famous Japanese dish. It has a spicy sweetish taste. By caramelizing the sugar in this sauce, the chicken comes out with a presentable shine. The name of the word teriyaki comes from Japanese - teri

meaning shine, and
yaki
- fried.

Surprise not only yourself but also your guests with this recipe. They will be delighted with the interesting taste... The meat turns out tender, with moderate sweetness and a subtle spiciness. Real jam!

If you have never tried this dish, or teriyaki chicken with noodles and vegetables, then this will be something new for you. Just Wow, how delicious! And if with Udon noodles you can fly away when eating it for the first time, then with teriyaki chicken - the dish will be 100% delicious. Prepare it yourself, at home. I assure you, you will succeed. I'll show you a simple recipe!

You can, of course, immediately try the more common Udon with chicken in teriyaki sauce. But it’s not a fact that the first time you try it, it’s delicious. Because not everyone uses the right noodles, and the dish may simply not be tasty. And here, a win-win option. Cook the chicken in the sauce and serve with rice. It turns out incredibly delicious!

Ingredients:

  • Chicken – 700 gr. (seedless)
  • Teriyaki sauce – 1 package 200 g (sold ready-made)
  • Soy sauce – 50 g.
  • Onion – 1 medium onion
  • Bell pepper – 0.5 pcs. straws (optional)
  • Sesame seeds (optional)

How to cook chicken in teriyaki sauce

Start with chicken. This could be fillet or thighs. I recommend using thighs, cutting them into medium pieces (2 - 4 cm). As a result, you will need literally 700 g of meat.

You can simplify the recipe to the point of madness by frying the chicken with teriyaki sauce, without onions and peppers. But believe me, it turns out more interesting...

Step 1.

Fry the onion until golden brown

Fry for 3 minutes and add a couple of tablespoons of soy sauce. I am attaching a photo of the recipe:

Great! Now we put the vegetables on a separate plate, or fry the chicken pieces in another frying pan... I use the same frying pan.

Step 4.

Fry the chicken for 5 minutes. The pieces are small, so we just need to brown them...

A few minutes after frying the chicken in a frying pan, add a couple of tablespoons of soy sauce and stir. The chicken turns out more saturated in color, as shown in the photo below:

The chicken was fried for 5 minutes, and now it’s time to add that TERIYAKI sauce. I usually use the whole pack, it’s usually 230 g, but if you don’t get enough chicken, then use a little less sauce. For example 200 gr. (almost the entire package). There are different manufacturers... In my case, it's HEINZ for 80 rubles. Below I will show you what this sauce looks like...

You’ll definitely see this one on the shelves... It always turns out delicious!

Step 6.

Stir the chicken and let it fry for another 2-3 minutes. In total, it literally takes 10 minutes to fry. After adding the teriyaki sauce, stir and control the heat. Literally 3 minutes are needed for the chicken to caramelize.

Stewed chicken with Teriyaki sauce

For cooking we will prepare the following components:

  • chicken weighing one and a half kilograms;
  • soy sauce – 150 grams;
  • 1.5 large spoons of wine or apple cider vinegar;
  • 35 grams of honey;
  • a little pepper mixture;
  • flour or starch powder – 20 grams;
  • ground ginger – 10 grams;
  • garlic – 4 cloves;
  • a little vegetable oil;
  • water – 250 m.

It will take about 1 hour to prepare, the calorie content will be 150 kcal.

How to do it:

  1. Pour soy sauce into a container, add honey and place on fire. Boil everything until the honey is completely dissolved;
  2. After that, remove it from the heat, add vinegar, a pinch of pepper mixture, chopped garlic, ground ginger. Mix everything thoroughly;
  3. Wash the chicken and remove the skin;
  4. Cut the chicken into small pieces, place in the sauce and leave to marinate for 3 hours;
  5. Next, transfer the chicken along with the sauce into a container and place on the fire. Leave to simmer;
  6. After 10 minutes, add water, simmer over low heat for 20 minutes;
  7. Dissolve starch or flour in a small amount of water and add to the chicken 5 minutes before the end of cooking;
  8. After this, lay out the chicken meat and serve.

Homemade teriyaki chicken

Next, add the onions and peppers to the chicken and mix. The dish is ready!

This is perhaps the easiest and fastest homemade teriyaki chicken recipe. Once cooked, it is served in small bowls and sprinkled with sesame seeds and often green onions for decoration. An excellent side dish is rice. Boil it and try it with meat.

Udon noodles with chicken in Teriyaki sauce

Components:

  • chicken pulp - half a kilogram;
  • 250 grams of wheat udon noodles;
  • 150 ml Teriyaki sauce;
  • carrot – 1 piece;
  • 100 gram jar of pickled mini-corn;
  • red sweet pepper (paprika) – 1 piece;
  • several branches of leek;
  • 2 large spoons of canned sweet corn;
  • 30 grams of green onions;
  • soy sauce – 2 large spoons;
  • vegetable oil.

It will take about 1 hour to prepare, the calorie content will be approximately 150 kcal.

Let's start cooking:

  1. First of all, wash the chicken fillet under cool water and peel off the skin;
  2. Cut the fillet into small slices;
  3. Add vegetable oil to the frying pan and heat;
  4. Place the chicken meat on the heated oil and fry them on all sides until a crust forms;
  5. We wash the carrots, peel them and cut them into thin strips;
  6. We also chop the pepper into strips;
  7. Mini-cobs need to be cut into small slices. Next, put them in a separate frying pan without oil and fry for several minutes until a crust appears;
  8. When a crust appears on the chicken pieces, add Teriyaki;
  9. Reduce the heat and leave the meat to fry a little in the sauce;
  10. Add carrots and pepper to the chicken, pour the sauce over again and leave to simmer;
  11. Meanwhile, boil the udon noodles. Place a container of water on the stove, add salt and leave to heat to a boil;
  12. Place noodles in boiling water and boil until tender for 5 minutes;
  13. After that, put boiled noodles, fried corn, canned corn, leeks and green onions into the frying pan with meat. We pour Teriyaki over everything;
  14. If desired, all components can be sprinkled with a small amount of soy sauce;
  15. Place all ingredients on a plate, sprinkle with sesame seeds and serve.

Teriyaki chicken with rice

The presentation is very varied. Only with rice - this is perhaps a classic. But you can vary the recipe by frying the chicken with small mushrooms, as in the recipe below.

First, we also fry the onions and mushrooms, then remove them separately and fry the pineapple slices in the same pan. It will turn out golden brown from the caramelized onions. A couple of drops of soy sauce.. Then fry the chicken in teriyaki sauce as shown in the main recipe above, mix with mushrooms. Serve the dish with rice. Try this recipe!

Ingredients:

  • Chicken – 500 gr.
  • Teriyaki – 180 gr.
  • Soy sauce – 30 gr.
  • Onion – 1 medium
  • Mushrooms – 100 gr.
  • Rice – 300 gr.

Step 1.

Boil the rice. The easiest thing is to use it in packaging. It couldn't be easier to prepare, and all the instructions are on the package. 15 minutes and you're done!

Step 2.

Fry the onion in a frying pan until caramelization begins, stirring constantly. Make sure it doesn't burn. Mushrooms can be added after 3-5 minutes to the onions, or they can be fried with chicken. It’s just that if you fry pineapple slices, it’s better to fry them after the onions. It turns out that the oil in which the onions were fried will already have sugar from the onions, and the slices will turn out golden brown, as in the photo. Literally a minute on each side.

Step 3.

We also fry the chicken separately until golden brown. Do not simmer it on the fire for a long time so that it does not turn out dry. Exactly the same as in the main recipe - 7 minutes. Then add mushrooms...

Step 4.

Add soy sauce, 3-5 tablespoons.

Step 5.

Pour in teriyaki sauce and stir. Fry for another 3 minutes and mix with onions.

Sprinkle with sesame seeds and green onions. Serve with rice.

Chicken with ready-made teriyaki sauce: the easiest frying pan recipe

The combination of the tender texture and neutral flavor of the meat with the spicy, salty-sweet flavor of the Japanese sauce gives an amazing result. Fast, aromatic and a little exotic - this is how you can describe chicken cooked in teriyaki sauce in a frying pan.

Ingredients:

  • Chicken fillet – 0.5 kg;
  • Teriyaki sauce - 1 glass;
  • Carrots (medium) – 1 pc.;
  • Bell and hot peppers – 1/2 pcs.;
  • Sesame – 2 tbsp. l.;
  • Vegetable oil – 4 tbsp. l.

Note: if you noticed, there is no salt in this recipe. When using a large amount of teriyaki, it is not needed, since the sauce itself is already salty. Be sure to take this fact into account when adding meat to the marinade.

Preparation:

  1. Prepare the chicken fillet. If you took breasts, first separate the fillet from the bones, rinse the meat, pat dry with a paper towel, and cut into small pieces.
  2. Place slices of meat in an enamel or glass bowl and pour the sauce over them. Leave for half an hour to marinate.
  3. Wash the hot and bell peppers, cut in half, remove seeds, and cut into neat strips.
  4. Chop the carrots in the same way. You can use a special grater for Korean.
  5. Place the peppers in a frying pan with heated oil and fry until golden brown over high heat. This usually takes 2-3 minutes.
  6. Place the pepper on a plate, place the carrots in the pan and fry for 1-2 minutes.
  7. We transfer the carrots to the peppers, and put the meat (without sauce) in the frying pan. Fry until browned. As soon as the crust appears golden brown, pour in the teriyaki in which the chicken fillet pieces were marinated.
  8. When the mixture thickens well and some of it boils away, the chicken is ready. Now you can add vegetables to it.
  9. Transfer the peppers and carrots to the frying pan, stir quickly and remove from heat.
  10. Sprinkle with pre-fried sesame seeds in a dry frying pan without oil.

Chicken in teriyaki sauce, a simple recipe for which we have given in a frying pan, will appeal to those who like Asian cuisine. It is prepared quickly and does not cause any difficulties at all. This dish is suitable for a romantic dinner and family lunch, for a festive table and a friendly meeting. The photo shows how appetizing it is.

Teriyaki chicken with noodles and vegetables

Another recipe that can be prepared without unnecessary difficulties is to prepare a dish with vegetables.

You already know the principle of cooking chicken. Now is the time to diversify the recipe by frying a selection of vegetables with the addition of soy sauce.

Step 1.

Boil the noodles separately. I recommend using rice or buckwheat... It turns out very tasty! Check the package for instructions on how to prepare the noodles. Since, most often, it is simply scalded with boiling water, or dipped in it for a couple of minutes, and sent to a colander.

Step 2.

Fry the vegetables in a frying pan (we use ready-made sets of vegetables, for example, “Caribbean mix” or “Spanish mix” or “Italian mix”. You can easily find them in stores. They usually contain: Mini carrots, green peas, green beans, mini corn, green peas, sweet peppers, broccoli. I recommend!)

Step 3.

Then we make chicken udon and mix it with vegetables and noodles.

How to cook funchose with vegetables and teriyaki sauce

Teriyaki sauce is perfect for dishes with funchose and more. You can buy it ready-made in the store, and then season the noodles with chicken and vegetables. But I suggest doing it yourself.

Ingredients:

Sauce:

  • 150 milliliters soy sauce
  • half a tablespoon of dried garlic (or 2 cloves of fresh)
  • half a teaspoon of ground ginger
  • teaspoon granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoons liquid honey
  • tablespoon wine or apple cider vinegar
  • tablespoon olive oil
  • half a glass of water

Also:

  • 2 chicken breasts
  • salt, paprika, pepper to taste
  • 1-2 bell peppers
  • small chili pepper
  • funchose - 100-150 grams

Preparation:

1. In a bowl, mix soy sauce, granulated sugar, dried garlic and ginger. If you use fresh garlic, pass it through a press. Add liquid honey (if it’s candied, you can melt it), olive oil and vinegar.

2. Heat the frying pan. Pour the sauce here. Stirring constantly, bring it to a thicker state.

3. When it starts to boil like syrup, gurgling with bubbles from melted sugar, pour in water. Simmer, stirring occasionally, until slightly thickened.

4. Cut the chicken into not too long strips. Heat a little oil in a frying pan. We send meat here. Fry on high power. When it turns pale on all sides, you can lightly add salt and season it. Fry until golden brown.

5. Remove seeds from chili. Cut into rings. We also clean the sweet peppers. Cut into strips. Add to the meat and cook until the vegetables are soft.

6. Prepare funchoza according to the instructions on the package. Drain the water and add the noodles to the meat and vegetables. Add our sauce. Mix everything.

Can be served immediately. But, since funchose is almost tasteless, it needs some time to be saturated with the aromas of the sauce and neighboring products.

As you already understand, preparing funchose with vegetables and chicken is not at all difficult! The main thing is to choose only high quality noodles. Unscrupulous manufacturers often mix harmful products into the composition, so carefully study the packaging before purchasing.

Preparation

1. To ensure that the finished meat dish is juicy and tender, buy only fresh, unfrozen poultry. Place the carcass in the sink and rinse thoroughly inside and out. If you find remains of feathers, remove them with tweezers or burn them over a burner flame. Be sure to dry the washed chicken with paper towels to remove excess moisture.

2. Now prepare the marinating sauce for the bird. Take a deep dish of suitable size. Add soy sauce and teriyaki, oil, spicy adjika, curry, and ground paprika to it. Stir all ingredients to form a homogeneous mass. Salt and ground black pepper are optional.

3. Brush the chicken carcass with aromatic sauce inside and outside with a kitchen brush. Leave to marinate for 1.5-2 hours in the kitchen. Some of the sauce should remain to further coat the chicken.

4. Select a deep baking dish. Grease the bottom with sauce or just add a little butter. Move marinated chicken around. Brush with sauce again. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees. Place the chicken in a hot oven for 50-60 minutes. Baking time depends on the power of the oven and the size of the bird.

5. After 20 minutes, remove the bird from the oven and brush with sauce. Repeat this procedure 2-3 more times during the entire baking time to give the finished dish a golden brown crust. To prevent the tops of the wings and legs from getting burned, you can cover them with foil.

6. Chicken in teriyaki sauce is ready.
