But what if you decide not to take the fruit for yourself? And how to present them in an original way? Or have you thought about an interesting gift, but still don’t know how to make it? Then this article is for you!
Our experienced craftsmen decided and created a master class for you, with the help of which you can easily learn how to make fruit bouquets from any ingredients.
In order to make a fruit bouquet, you first need to prepare a large workspace and the following tools:
From fruits we took:
Plum, mint, lime, nectarine, pomegranate, nectarine, lemon, grapes.

1. The first thing we will do is wash all the fruits. WE ARE SURE to do this very carefully so that when cutting, we don’t push dirt onto their cut and spoil our recipient’s impression of the bouquet. After this, wipe them with paper napkins or a towel and leave to dry for a few minutes.
Let's cut! There is nothing special about cutting kiwi, orange and lime: just cut them in half with a sharp knife.
In our bouquet, only pomegranate needed cutting, how to do this? Watch our master class at the bottom of the page.
How to cut a pomegranate correctly and beautifully in our master class.
2. Now that all the fruits are cut, you need to put them on wooden skewers. There are also some features here:
The larger and heavier the fruit, the more sticks you will need to stick into it, and vice versa. But, as always, there are some exceptions, since nectarines and apricots have a pit in the middle, so that they look beautiful, but at the same time hold well, you have to thread them a little to the side, but so that it does not stand crookedly, we insert 2 or even 3 sticks.
A fairly heavy pomegranate was held on 4 skewers. Since the fruit itself is quite dense, the pomegranate does not spin or move in a bouquet and sits firmly.
3. Now we are becoming a little florists and will briefly study the technique of assembling a bouquet using the spiral technique. We hold the sticks of the first fruit with our left hand and place the second fruit on its sticks, crossing them. The place where we hold the bouquet sticks will later be the place where the bouquet is tied. We place each next fruit so that the sticks begin to form a spiral. We also place the following fruits.
We took the pomegranate as the center of the whole composition and placed decor and fruit around it
As soon as it becomes difficult to squeeze the sticks, tightly tighten the place of the ligament with tape

It is not for nothing that pomegranate is called the “king of fruits” in the East. The bright and rich color of pomegranate looks solemn and noble, and the sweet and sour aftertaste delights. However, many people refuse to consume this fruit because they do not know how to peel it without damaging the grains and causing splashes.
How to properly peel a pomegranate quickly
Pomegranates, like all other fruits, must be washed before consumption. Next, it should be cleaned. This is not easy to do, because the juice splashes in different directions and the skin of your fingers becomes stained.
Now we will tell you the general rules for cleaning pomegranates:
- After washing, gently blot it with a towel so that the grains remain intact.
- Take the sharpest knife and cut off the top. If everything is correct, then the grains will be intact and all the membranes will appear on the cut.
- We cut the peel along the visible membranes. We get the fruit divided into 4 slices.
- We take the pomegranate in our hand, and with the second we carefully separate the slice from the rest of the fruit. Thus, we divide the entire pomegranate into parts and place it on a plate.
The pomegranate is peeled and you can enjoy its juicy seeds. Moreover, you can eat the seeds; they contain a large amount of useful substances. However, people with diseases of the digestive system are not recommended to use them. The thing is that they take a long time to digest and excess acids will provoke inflammatory processes in the stomach.
Peel delicious fruit without any effort
Another method that will allow you to peel a pomegranate without much effort is the impact method. All you need is a dumpling maker, a silicone baking dish, a knife and a deep bowl. And the execution technique will be as follows:
- wash pomegranate in warm water;
- carefully cut in half;
- An empty bowl is placed on the table, and a dumpling maker is placed on it;
- the fruit is placed on it, grains down;
- cover the fruit with a mold and hit it with a kitchen hammer;
- the grains will all fall out on their own.
This method is suitable for those who do not want to bother cutting it into pieces and pulling out grains at a time. This method will allow all the beans to end up in the cup at once.
How to cut a pomegranate correctly: the video will clearly show the whole process.
Life hacks on how to peel a pomegranate
There are many ways to quickly and beautifully separate the grana skins. Now we'll tell you another one. So, a life hack on how to peel a pomegranate using a dumpling maker. A dumpling maker is a plastic or metal mold with round cells for quickly making dumplings.
We do the following:
- take a bowl and put a dumpling maker on top;
- wash and dry the pomegranate, then divide it into parts;
- Place the resulting slices on a dumpling maker, skin side up;
- take a wooden spatula or spoon and lightly tap the peel;
- if the fruit is ripe, then 2 minutes will pass and the grains will be in the bowl.
This is an unusual method you can use.
How to quickly and beautifully cut fruit at home: step-by-step instructions
Shredding the thick peel at random is a direct path to an abundant flow of juice, crushed and cut grains, and painful extraction. This can be easily avoided if you know how a pomegranate works.
Following the instructions, you will cut the pomegranate without effort , preserving the integrity of the nucleoli as much as possible.
Impact method
Does not require special training, special knowledge or tools. Everything will work out even if you have a kitchen knife and a deep bowl. This option does not imply a beautiful appearance of the fruit after cutting; it is good for those cases when grains need to be added to a salad, decorated with a dessert, or simply sent to a juicer. When preparing juice, remember that in concentrated form it can be harmful; diluting it with water is a necessary measure.
The top of the fruit is cut off - the place where the flower once was, but now a jagged “crown” remains.
Next we follow the algorithm:
- Having cut off the top of the head, put it aside, carefully examine the revealed pattern of ribs, determining their location.
- The peel must be cut from the top of the fruit from top to bottom, slightly short of the base, the cut lines run exactly along the veins.
- The depth of penetration of the blade in this case is about a centimeter, so that the edges of the skin can easily move apart.
- After running a knife along all the ribs of the fruit, turn it upside down, directly over the prepared bowl and slightly move the edges of the cuts apart.
- Using the handle of a knife or a spoon, begin to tap the skin evenly and rhythmically, ensuring that the grains inside move from their places and begin to spill out.
- Do not be afraid of damaging the contents - this is not easy to do; nature has created a system of partitions that very successfully protect the grains from external pressure.
- For optimal results, you need to methodically “tap” the entire surface of the pomegranate, being careful not to lift the fruit too high, otherwise the grains will fly past the bowl.
In this way, obtaining pomegranate kernels will be quick – in a few minutes. A few attempts are enough to get used to it and confidently cope with the task.
We invite you to watch a video on how to clean a pomegranate using the impact method:
Beautiful presentation
This method is almost no different from the previous one. To begin with, cut off the top of the head in the same way as described above and determine the location of the ribs of the fetus. Following actions:
- Cuts are made along the veins from the crown to the base.
- The depth should be such that you can see the grains inside.
- Carefully, trying not to damage the integrity of the sections with grains, open the pomegranate with slow movements.
- By evenly spreading the resulting “petals,” the veins and partitions are removed.

Underwater purity
This method is suitable for those who have sensitive hand skin or do not want to ruin their fresh manicure with pomegranate juice - it is not easy to wipe off. The preparation is quite simple - water is taken into a deep bowl, the temperature of the liquid is slightly colder than room temperature. Procedure:
- Cut off the top of the fruit so that you can see how the partitions are located.
- Place the pomegranate in the water, completely drowning it.
- Remove after half an hour.
- Place an empty deep bowl under the tap.
- Open the water and carefully unfold the fruit into slices under running water.
- A stream of water will help rinse the grains directly into the bowl.
- Drain the water and pick out the vein pieces.
If you need to cut the fruit quickly and there is no time for soaking, simply peel the fruit in a deep cup filled with water. Having immersed the hands with the fruit in the liquid, unfold the pre-cut fruit , allowing the husk to float to the top and the grains to settle to the bottom. Then the water is drained along with the peel, and the kernels are cleaned of the remnants of the partitions. At the same time, your hands do not suffer from splashes of juice.

How to peel pomegranate for a fruit bouquet
Nowadays, fruit bouquets are in fashion; they are beautiful and practical. The decoration of such a bouquet can be a pomegranate, which is the center of the composition. To do this, you need to clean it.
They do this as follows:
- wash the pomegranate and wait until it dries completely;
- then carefully cut out the crown without damaging the grains;
- make 5-6 cuts, the pomegranate will resemble a flower;
- take the knife again and cut the fruit in half;
- Now we carefully open the resulting petals and remove the films.
Now you can create a composition.
A pomegranate flower is beautiful, but you can also place a pomegranate ball in a bouquet. We'll tell you how to do it now. Peeling a pomegranate so that it is intact is a difficult task. This is done mainly by hand. At the very beginning of cleaning, we cut the crown of the pomegranate, dividing it into parts. After this, put the knife aside and carefully pull the skin and remove the skin from the pomegranate. You should also remove the films, otherwise they will dry out and be more difficult to separate. As a result of painstaking work, you will get a ball of pomegranate. It is suitable for an original bouquet or fruit composition. This way you will collect a bouquet of fruits and berries with pomegranate.
A way to get rid of fruit peels for the laziest
The fastest way for the lazy and those who don’t want to force themselves to bother with peeling the fruit is to peel it with your hands. There is no need to look for special sharp knives in the kitchen. However, the juice of this fruit can end up everywhere: in your hands, on the table, on the chair. Therefore, it is best to do these manipulations in the kitchen, after putting on an apron.
The essence of this method is this:
- The pomegranate is washed in running water and dried thoroughly. This is a mandatory action, since many pathogenic bacteria can get into it on the market.
- Then the top is cut off with a knife.
- Using your hands, break the fruit into two parts, and the halves into several more parts.
But this fruit is very juicy, if, of course, it is ripe, and no matter how carefully you try to cut it into halves, the juice can still splash and stain the walls or floor. There is another way by which you can remove the peel so that not a single drop and not a single grain escapes from it. Let’s look in detail at how to properly peel a pomegranate: quickly and effortlessly!
How to clean dried pomegranate
If you find a dried pomegranate in the refrigerator, do not rush to throw it away. Only the peel has dried out due to loss of moisture, but the grains are still juicy and tasty.
You can do it in two ways:
- Take a dried pomegranate and carefully peel the peel. It has become brittle, but this will not prevent it from being removed. Moreover, dry peels should not be thrown away. It is brewed and drunk as tea for digestive problems.
- The second method is to place the dried pomegranate in a container with warm water and leave it for a while. The peel will absorb the lost moisture and become like a fresh fruit. After this, it is cleaned and eaten.
As you can see, pomegranate retains its beneficial properties in any case.
Peculiarities
To understand how to cut a pomegranate correctly and quickly, it is worth understanding its unusual structure. The fruit is divided into two parts. Each part is divided into several more compartments, which are where the juicy grains are located. The number of grains in one pomegranate can be up to thousands. The average fruit has approximately five hundred grains. Veins and ribs provide good protection for them, which protect them from impacts and shaking. As long as the fruit is not cut, the grains inside remain intact under any conditions.
Depending on the type of grain, they are dark red, yellow and even white. The seeds of pomegranate seeds are very difficult to chew. Many people do not like their presence. Although there are also varieties in which the seeds are small and very soft, they are almost unnoticeable when chewed. Usually the seeds are bitter, and the pomegranate seeds are juicy and sweet. The sour taste is present in some fruits more, in others less. It all depends on the variety and ripeness.
Pomegranates are brought from Uzbekistan, Afghanistan, Israel, Turkey, Greece, Italy, Portugal, as well as from France. And in Russia there are regions where pomegranate trees are grown - in the Azov region, Crimea, and the southern regions of the Krasnodar Territory. In the Moscow region and areas of the central zone, gardeners are trying to adapt varieties of this crop that are more resistant to cold. In order not to be disappointed with your purchase, you need to know how to choose a pomegranate. Experts recommend taking a good look at the peel - it should be bright red and definitely dry. You should not purchase a product that turns out to be very dark, with brown spots and bald spots. The peel should be tight, as if hugging the grains.
If the fruit is overripe or still unripe, it will be more difficult to peel, and it will not taste very juicy. When choosing a pomegranate, you also need to pay attention to the jagged “crown” - this is the base of the flower, thanks to which the fruit is called the royal fruit. It should be brightly colored, dry and fully opened. If the tip of the pomegranate has a greenish tint, then the fruit is unripe. The weight of the pomegranate will also help determine the juiciness of the pomegranate - the heavier the fruit, the tastier it will be. If the pomegranate is not hard, this indicates that it is either frozen or has already deteriorated. When tapped, a ripe fruit produces a ringing sound, while an unripe fruit produces a dull sound.
Everyone knows the beneficial properties of this overseas fruit. A set of microelements and vitamins contained in pomegranate strengthens the immune system and ensures a full human life.
Pomegranate juice removes radionuclides, saving the body from radiation. The table shows the vitamin content.
How to peel a pomegranate with a spoon
Oddly enough, there is even such a method.
To implement it you need:
- cutting board;
- knife;
- spoon;
- soup plate.
Take a pomegranate and cut its peel at the top in a circle. Then carefully pry it up and remove it. The grains remain intact. The bottom remains untouched. The next step is to cut through the pomegranate peel from top to bottom, dividing it into four parts. Next, we separate the resulting slices, but not completely. Place the fruit cut side down in a deep plate, take a wooden spoon and start tapping the entire pomegranate with it. As a result, the grains will fall into the plate. This way you will avoid juice splashing and your hands will not get stained.
Methods
You can clean the pomegranate cleanly and accurately using the so-called dry method. First of all, you should wash the berry, then you need to step back 2-3 cm from the stalk and make an incision. It is important to completely cut through the skin without damaging the grains. If everything is done correctly, the cut off part can easily be removed from the fruit, like a lid from a pan.
An easier way to remove the stem is to simply cut off the top. In this case, damage to several upper grains may occur, but this is not critical. It is better to perform these manipulations on a large flat plate, glass or plastic board. Wooden surfaces will quickly absorb scarlet pomegranate juice, and it will not be easy to wash them.
When you remove the “lid” - the stalk, you will find that the rows of pomegranate are separated from each other by light veins. Along the lines of these veins, the peel should be cut to form slices. In this case, the cuts should not reach the bottom of the pomegranate by about 3-4 cm.
Now all that remains is to “pour” the grains from the peel into a bowl. To do this you will need a deep bowl and a tablespoon. The fruit should be turned cut side down and gently tap it on the peel with a spoon. As a result, the grains will separate from the membranes and fall into the plate. The peel will remain empty.
There is also a “wet” cleaning method, so named because the process is carried out under water. First, you should prepare the fruit in the same way as in the first case - wash, cut and remove the top in the area of the stalk.
The next step is to immerse the pomegranate, cut side down, into a deep dish filled with clean water. Now under water you need to disassemble it into slices, tearing off the peel. It, being light, like the membrane, will begin to float up. While the grains of the grant are falling. After the process is completed, all that remains is to remove the peel and membrane, rinse the grains, discarding them in a colander.
The pomegranate should be immersed in cool water. You can leave it in the liquid for 5-10 minutes and only then start cleaning. It is believed that after this the grains will be easier to separate.
This method, unlike the dry method, is more “traumatic” for pomegranate grains - the risk of damaging them still remains. However, if this happens, you won’t even notice the consequences of the splashes.
Inventive pomegranate connoisseurs have come up with an interesting cleaning method, the use of which will protect the grains from damage and you from juice throughout the room. To do this, prepare the pomegranate using the method described above - wash it and cut off the top. After this, make small vertical cuts along the white membranes.
Now you need to place a deep plate on the table, with a dumpling maker on top of it. The prepared fruit is placed on the resulting “aggregate” and closed with a silicone mold of suitable size. Now you need to tap the mold with a spoon or meat mallet, as a result of which all the grains without a membrane (it will not pass through the holes of the dumpling maker) will end up in the plate.
If you don’t have silicone utensils of a suitable size on hand, you can do without them. However, in this case there is still a risk of grains “bouncing” onto the table surface. However, if you make targeted, seemingly muffled strikes, this will not happen.
Another way to easily peel the fruit without splashing is to cut off the top evenly to the first rows of grains. At the bottom of the pomegranate, you should do the same, avoiding damage to the grains. Now you need to make a vertical cut in the peel along the membrane.
There is no need to stick the knife deep, just cut the peel (at this time you should hold the fruit over a deep bowl, as the grains will fall out) and unfold it.
The result will be 2 halves of a pomegranate, connected by the peel. All that remains is to tap the peel with a spoon or hammer, holding the fruit grains down. To protect against splashes, you can do this by placing the bowl in the sink and turning on the water.
If you want to serve pomegranate to the table, these methods cannot be called optimal - the appearance of the grains is not distinguished by sophistication. In this case, you can cut the pomegranate into slices, preserving its skin, but without losing the juice. The following life hack will allow you to do this.
So, you also need to wash the pomegranate and cut out the core in the area of the stalk with a knife. As a result, a small hole will appear in the center of the fruit. Vertical cuts 1.5-2 cm long should be made from it.
The next step is to take the berry with both hands, insert your thumb into the cut hole in the center and break the fruit into slices. Just like they usually do with an orange.
There is no need to strive to completely separate the fruit into pieces; it is only important to break it, leaving it connected at the bottom. The result is an original pomegranate “flower” that can be used to decorate a fruit plate.
Recently, edible bouquets, including fruit bouquets, have become increasingly popular. They can become an original gift or a serving element. It’s not difficult to make them - you should stock up on wooden skewers, fresh fruit of suitable sizes and colors and decor. The center of such a composition will be a completely peeled, but not broken into slices, pomegranate. It will look like a bright ball, just looking at it will make your mouth water.
Peeling a pomegranate for a bouquet of fruits is not difficult, the main thing is to take your time and not make sudden movements. The fruit should be washed and the top of the fruit should be cut off without touching the grains. Now you should pull one of the ends of the peel down to reach the white part of the fruit. For convenience, you can make small vertical cuts, which you can then pull on. In this way, very slowly and carefully remove the peel over the entire surface of the “ball”, also removing the film. By the way, you can not completely peel the pomegranate, but leave the peel at the bottom or starting from the middle of the fruit. It is better to tear it off or trim it with beautiful waves.
Some bouquet makers consider a different method of cleaning pomegranates simpler. To do this, the washed fruit should be placed on the table and a cross-shaped cut should be made on its upper part. You should get 4 “petals”; now you need to pull each of them separately, exposing the grains. There is no need to completely remove the peel; if you leave it connected at the bottom and arrange it nicely around the “ball” of grains, you will get a fruity flower.
If you decide to leave the pomegranate in the bouquet with the peel, just cut off the stalk and carefully peel the top part so that 3-4 rows of grains remain without the peel. In this part, you should also remove the membrane by slightly spreading the fruit. As a result, you will get an exquisite half-bloomed “flower” - a delicate ruby “crown” of grains will appear from the rough peel.
This method is preferable for large bouquets - those whose fruit cannot be eaten at once. In the peel, even with the “lid” cut off, the pomegranate can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. It is recommended to choose small-sized pomegranates for fruit bouquets - they are easier to clean and look more organic in the composition.
If you need to clean a dried pomegranate, then after washing it, simply cut it into 4 slices. Dried fruit contains less juice, but it is still better to protect yourself from splashes and cut it in a deep plate or pan.
After this, you should turn the slice over with the grains down and actively tap the back side with a spoon. The grains in such a berry quickly fall down. In terms of taste, they may be inferior to the grains of a ripe fruit, but they are quite suitable for decorating salads and desserts, for example.
To learn how to quickly peel a pomegranate without getting dirty or damaging the grains, watch the following video.
When winter comes, our body needs useful elements, which can be replenished by eating an exotic, uncrowned fruit. For many, it remains a mystery how to peel a pomegranate in order to preserve the integrity of each seed without losing a drop of juice. After all, it contains a storehouse of vitamins, microelements, amino acids, salts and tannins.
Older people appreciate the fruit for its unsurpassed juiciness and pleasant taste. Children love to eat bright, unusually colored seeds filled with a sour liquid. But how to properly peel a pomegranate and arrange it beautifully on a plate so that everyone can try it? There are some simple tips and techniques.
Simple cleaning option in 6 movements
If you want to serve pomegranate on the table, then disassembling it into grains is not an option. It's much better to cut beautifully, and you can do it in just six quick movements.
- We wash the fruit, cut off the top by about one centimeter so that the grains and veins are visible.
- Along the white lines, which seem to divide the pomegranate into slices, we make continuous cuts with a sharp knife, but so as not to catch the berries.
- Insert a knife into the very middle of the fruit at a medium depth.
- We turn the knife several times directly in the grenade clockwise.
- We take out the knife carefully, so as not to damage anything, otherwise splashes cannot be avoided.
- Use your fingers to help the slices separate in different directions. The end result is something like a flower.
After such cleaning, it is enough to take a slice, and use your teeth or a spoon to pull out the berries and enjoy the healthy fruit.
How to cut to make pomegranate juice
There are many options for obtaining pomegranate juice at home; the grains can be crushed, passed through a sieve, or crushed in a blender. But it doesn’t always work out the first time, or the result is not enough juice. Let's consider the simplest and most economical method.
- First of all, you need to cut the fruit and free the grains. This can be done using absolutely any method, the most important thing is to preserve the berries so that they do not lose their juice ahead of time.
- Once the berries are in the bowl, transfer them to a bag. You can use regular polyethylene, but it is very strong. And it’s best to buy one with a clasp; such pockets are used for freezing food, they are dense and you don’t have to worry about the contents.
- Zip the bag or tie it if you have a regular one and evenly distribute the grains inside.
- Using a rolling pin, glass or glass bottle, begin to crush the grains by moving the selected object over the bag with some pressure.
- When everything is pressed well, open the bag and put the contents on a sieve, placing the bowl down.
- As a result, you will end up with juice in the container, but the seeds will remain on the sieve.
How to cut beautifully?
If you want to effectively serve a dish at the holiday table, we recommend using a slightly different technique.
It will allow you to create an unusual edible flower, which, you can be sure, will be appreciated by all guests and which will become one of the main decorations of the table.
For this:
- To begin with, we carry out standard actions - wash, remove dirt, wipe, dry. When using this cleaning method, the drying time is important. You need to dry it thoroughly, otherwise the peel will not come off correctly.
- After complete drying, remove the top with a knife, simply cut it out. Try to walk in a circle without touching the inside.
- The next stage involves creating cuts in the crust in the amount of 5-6 pieces. We do this at an equal distance from each other. The result will be slices that look like petals.
- Next, cut the crust exactly in the middle with a knife.
- After this, we pry up each so-called petal and carefully remove it. If the cuts were made correctly before, then only half of each cut will be removed, and the other half will be in the skin.
- Press down in the middle and release the top from the white films. If the grains are tightly covered with them, then simply remove them.
