Its heads are less dense than those of the usual white cabbage, the leaves are more tender, and the taste is a cross between lettuce and cabbage. By the way, it is also called “salad cabbage” or “pestai” in another way. And now this vegetable has become not only familiar to us, but sometimes simply an irreplaceable product. Chinese cabbage is an excellent base for light salads, but it can also be used to make heartier snacks. Here, for example, is Chinese cabbage salad with chicken. Considering that chicken is as popular in our country as cabbage, this salad will definitely find its admirers.

Chinese cabbage salad with crab sticks

A new, incredibly bright salad with crab sticks and Chinese cabbage. Prepared without mayonnaise.

Ingredients:

  • Beijing cabbage – 300 g.
  • A pack of crab sticks.
  • Green peas – 150 g.
  • One bell pepper.
  • Red onion.
  • Full-fat yogurt – 3 tbsp. l.
  • French mustard – 2 tsp.
  • Salt pepper.

Preparation:

  1. First, let's prepare the dressing. Mix full-fat yogurt or sour cream with 15% fat content and whole grain mustard. Season with pepper and salt to taste. Mix thoroughly.
  2. Place frozen peas in boiling salted water. Cook after boiling for a minute. Then pour over cold water, then place on a sieve.

A tasty and popular salad consisting of only 4 products, add salt and pepper, as always, to taste and as desired. The recipe is very simple and tastes great!

The classic version of the Dniester salad uses white cabbage, but we will use Beijing cabbage, it is more tender and juicy. If you use cabbage, then after cutting you need to mash it a little with your hands (as when pickling), then the salad will be tastier.

Products:

  • Chinese cabbage (white cabbage) - 300-400 g
  • boiled smoked sausage (Cervelat) – 300 g
  • green peas - 1
  • jar of mayonnaise - 3-4 tbsp. l.
  • salt ground black pepper to taste

Cooking step by step:

  1. Wash and dry the cabbage. Divide the head of cabbage in half lengthwise to make shredding easier.
  2. Slice the cabbage quite thinly and place in a deep bowl.
  3. First cut the smoked sausage into circles and then into cubes. Or cut it as you wish, but it looks most beautiful when cut into strips.
  4. Drain the liquid from the can of green peas and pour the peas into a bowl.
  5. Add 3-4 table. spoons of mayonnaise and mix well
  6. Add salt to taste, if necessary, because cervelat and mayonnaise are already salty.
  7. Add ground black pepper to taste

Chinese cabbage and chicken breast salad

To serve at the holiday table, it is better to lay out this salad in layers. But if you want it faster, you can mix everything - the taste will not suffer. The salad is very tasty and really tender.

Ingredients:

  • Chicken breast – 300 g.
  • Peking cabbage – 130 g.
  • Potatoes – 3 pcs.
  • Onion – 1 pc.
  • Boiled eggs – 3 pcs.
  • Hard cheese – 140 g.
  • Mayonnaise – 3 tbsp. l.

Preparation:

  1. First, let's prepare the potatoes. Wrap it in foil and bake in the oven for 25–30 minutes at 200 degrees. We will also bake chicken breast along with potatoes. Wrap the chicken in foil and place in the oven for 30–40 minutes. Of course, potatoes and chicken breast can be boiled, but in the oven it will turn out much tastier.
  2. Let's pickle the onion. Cut one large onion into quarter rings. Transfer the onion to a plate, add ½ tsp. salt, 1 tsp. sugar, 1 tbsp. l. apple cider vinegar, 100 ml boiling water. Stir and leave for 5-6 minutes until completely cooled.
  3. Grate baked peeled potatoes and hard-boiled eggs on a coarse grater. Three hard cheeses on a fine grater.
  4. Cut the baked chicken breast into small pieces. Then chop the cabbage.
  5. To assemble the salad, we will use a springform pan with a diameter of 20 cm, but you can simply assemble it on a plate. Place the potatoes evenly in the bottom layer and grease with mayonnaise. Next, lay out the pickled onions, squeezed out of the water. Then distribute the chicken fillet and mayonnaise again. After a layer of eggs, mayonnaise, grated cheese, mayonnaise. Place the last layer of Chinese cabbage.
  6. Place the salad in the refrigerator to soak for 1-2 hours, so it will become even juicier. Before serving, remove it from the mold, now you can serve.

How to cook Chinese cabbage salad with chicken breast

Prepare all the necessary ingredients. Boil a hard-boiled egg, boil a chicken breast until tender or bake in the oven, rinse the vegetables under running water.
