  1. Today we will cook 2 salmon steaks. They can be purchased fresh or frozen at the supermarket. Before cooking, defrost the steaks, rinse under running water, and dry with a paper towel. Any red fish is suitable for baking according to this recipe.
    If you want it to be more juicy, choose fatty varieties, for example, salmon, it is considered universal, more fatty. Salmon and pink salmon are fresher. Many people believe that pink salmon meat is not suitable for baking, but this is only if you do not use additional sauce.

    Try putting a piece of butter or sour cream in foil with the fish, and you will be surprised how juicy the fish will turn out.

  2. Sprinkle the fish with salt, ground pepper and rub on both sides. You can use regular black, mixed or white pepper. According to chefs, white pepper is best suited for red fish.

  3. Leave the steaks for a few minutes while we prepare the marinade. Squeeze the juice from half a lemon, add 1 tsp to it. olive oil, mix. Lubricate the steaks on both sides with marinade and leave for 7 minutes.

  4. For each steak we prepare a separate sheet of foil. We also grease the foil with a mixture of lemon juice and oil. Place the fish on foil, place a sprig of dill on top of each steak, and wrap the fish in foil. Instead of dill, you can use any other aromatic herbs. For example, a sprig of rosemary would be a great option.

  5. Place in the oven preheated to 180 degrees for 30 minutes. We recommend removing the foil 20 minutes after baking and baking the uncovered steaks for another 5-10 minutes to form a golden brown crust. After this, we take out the fish and can serve it hot. The best side dish would be a salad of fresh vegetables. You can also serve rice. And for dressing, offer soy sauce. Although, thanks to the marinade, you don’t have to use additional sauce.

If you have prepared fish for a holiday table, cover a flat serving plate with lettuce leaves and place the steak. Place a slice of lemon and cherry tomatoes nearby. You can also use black olives for decoration. Baked fish is best eaten immediately after cooking. But if you plan to store it for a long time, put it in a container with a lid and put it in the refrigerator. It will be very tasty even cold.
