The bread maker has long been my main assistant in the kitchen. I stopped buying bread at the store and bake it myself, constantly learning new recipes. One of my favorites is French bread. This bread is perfect for any dish, and it’s also delicious served simply with butter for tea.

Ingredients

To make French bread in a bread machine we will need:

water - 230 ml;

salt - 1 tsp;

sugar - 2 tbsp. l.;

wheat flour - 400 g;

yeast - 1 tsp;

Sunflower oil - 1.5 tsp.

Cooking steps

Pour room temperature water into the bread maker bucket and add salt.


Sift the flour, then sprinkle the yeast on top and sprinkle with sugar.


Set the bread machine to “Basic mode”, the weight of the bread is 750 grams, the crust is medium. Run the program.


When the flour begins to gather into a bun, add sunflower oil to the bucket.


At the end of the program, remove the French bread from the bread machine bucket and cool.


French bread baked in a bread machine slices very well and does not crumble. If desired, you can add various herbs to this bread, for example, a mixture of Provencal, Italian or basil, marjoram to your taste.

What ingredients will you need:

  • 280 ml water;
  • 540 grams of wheat flour;
  • 80 grams of soft cheese or cottage cheese;
  • 2.5 teaspoons salt;
  • 1 large spoon of sugar;
  • dry yeast – 1 teaspoon.

It will take 2-2.5 hours to prepare.

Calorie content – ​​287 kcal.

Cooking process:

  1. Pour flour into the bread machine container, add salt, granulated sugar and dry yeast to it.
  2. After this, spread cottage cheese or cream cheese.
  3. The water should be at room temperature, it can be warmed up a little in the microwave.
  4. Pour the water into the bread machine container with the remaining ingredients.
  5. We select the mode – “French bread”, set the crust – medium, bread weight – 750 grams.
  6. We start the device and leave to knead the dough.
  7. The kneading process should result in a bun with a slightly fuzzy structure.
  8. As soon as the program is completed, you can remove the finished bread.
  9. The baked goods are airy, rosy and aromatic.

I offer a classic, simple recipe for homemade bread, which is perfect for daily baking. The main advantage of this option is a small set of necessary ingredients, as well as the fact that it is suitable for any family member and for any occasion!

French bread in a Moulinex bread machine - recipe of the day.

Ingredients (calculation is for a loaf weighing 500 grams): - still drinking water, 200 ml - table salt, 1 tsp. - wheat flour, 350 g - dry instant yeast, 1 tsp.

1. To prepare classic French bread, you will need regular drinking non-carbonated water, preferably filtered. In order for the dough to rise well and be sufficiently airy, it is necessary to use water with a temperature as close as possible to 35 degrees, since at lower temperatures dry yeast is less active, and if a liquid with a high temperature is used, it may stop working altogether.

2. Remove the bowl from the bread maker reservoir so that when loading the ingredients do not end up inside the appliance, pour the prepared water into the bottom. Always strictly follow the order in which you add food to the bowl to achieve the desired result.

3. Measure out exactly 1 tsp. table salt, this is very convenient to do using a special measuring spoon that comes with the bread maker. Add salt to the already poured water, do not stir.

4. Sift 350 grams of wheat flour into a deep bowl; a kitchen scale or large measuring cup will help you measure the exact amount. The better the flour is sifted, the more the dough will rise, which means the bread will be more airy; in addition, when making French bread, I recommend using only premium flour.

5. Gradually pour a small mound of flour into the middle of the bowl. Using your finger or spoon, prepare a small depression at the very top of the flour mound and pour 1 tsp into it. dry instant yeast.

6. Without mixing the ingredients, place the bowl in the oven reservoir, close the lid and set the desired program - for the Moulinex OW 3101Uno bread machine this is program No. 3, in other ovens you can use the main mode for baking white bread.

7. After the program has expired, carefully open the lid, use an oven mitt to remove the bowl of bread and place it on a towel or stand, leave for 1-2 hours until the baked goods finish cooking.

8. Remove the finished bread from the bowl and cut it; be sure to pack the rest in a bag or cling film to avoid weathering and drying out.

French bread is ready!

We also recommend that you bake buns with sugar from yeast dough.

Bread in a bread machine: recipes

All ingredients should be added in the order indicated in the recipe. The weight and quantity of ingredients in the recipes are indicated for 700 gram loaves of bread.

The LG bread maker comes with a 230 ml measuring cup, which is used to measure bulk ingredients, so in recipes the amount of product is indicated in cups. If you do not have such a cup, then for convenience I have indicated the amount of product in grams next to it.

Measures indicated in the recipes (just in case):

  • 1 teaspoon – 5 g.,
  • 1 tablespoon – 15 g.,
  • 1 cup = 230 ml,
  • 100 ml flour = approximately 65 g. flour.

Since in all recipes flour and some other products are measured in cups that come with bread machines, it is recommended to take dishes with a scale in ml. It is more convenient to measure flour in a container with a 230 ml mark. The conversion to grams next to the “cups” in the tables is approximate.

French bread

This is my favorite and most delicious bread in the bread machine. It goes perfectly with all dishes. The recipe does not indicate vegetable oil, but I always add a tablespoon, then the crust turns out fried and crispy. The cooking process is very simple - put all the ingredients in a mold and select the “French” program (4 hours). In fact, this program bakes bread for 3 hours 40 minutes, and 20 minutes is heating, but it is better not to use it, but to turn it off immediately. Otherwise, the crust of the bread will not be crispy.

Rye bread in a bread machine

This is an old Russian recipe that requires pre-preparing the starter. This starter can subsequently be used to bake another 10-15 loaves. The cooking time for our starter will be 18 hours.

Sourdough recipe:

In a small, non-metallic wide bowl, mix all ingredients until smooth, then place the mixture in a warm place. After 3 hours, stir the starter, and after 18 hours, put it in the refrigerator.

To get acquainted with the bread machine, I was asked in the short manual to bake the first bread according to the “French bread” recipe. Now this bread is our favorite. French bread according to this recipe has a very crispy crust, it is airy and very tasty.

Place the ingredients in the bread maker pan in the specified sequence, if your instructions also say liquid products go from the bottom (if otherwise, change the sequence). This recipe used a Moulinex bread machine. I measured the salt and yeast with a special measuring spoon.
