Jam made from fruit juice and pulp - a very juicy jam for the winter

One way to prepare a fragrant, citrusy treat with a pleasant sour taste is to use freshly squeezed orange juice with pulp.

You will also need lemon juice, a little zest and sugar.

Oranges are washed with water, then using a juicer or blender, squeeze out the juice along with the pulp and pour it into a separate bowl.

From there, pour the liquid into a deep frying pan or saucepan, turn on the heat and bring everything to a boil. As soon as this happens, boil the orange mixture to half the nominal value.

Next, add 250-300 g of table sugar, a pinch of salt and cook again over low heat for 1-1.5 hours, stirring constantly.

As soon as the liquid changes its color from bright orange to brown, pour in 1-2 tbsp. l. lemon juice, stir and cook for about 15 minutes, skimming off any foam that forms. To make the consistency thicker, you can add a little pectin or other natural thickener at the final stage of preparation.

Hot jam is poured into clean and pre-sterilized glass jars, the lids are tightly closed and, after cooling, sent for winter storage.

Orange-apple jam

Apples make the taste of orange jam more delicate. They somewhat reduce the intensity of the citrus and at the same time give the dessert additional softness. For it you will need one kilogram of apples and sugar, half a kilo of oranges, half a spoon of cinnamon (optional) and 3/4 cup of water.

Pour boiling water over the citrus fruits, then rinse them thoroughly under running water. Cut off the skin along with the white layer, chop the pulp as desired. Pour water into the pan, add sugar and boil the syrup. Dip chopped oranges into it, cook them for a few minutes and remove from the stove.

Also wash the apples, remove the seed pods and cut them into slices. Add to the oranges, return to the heat and simmer for about an hour. Mix the mixture very carefully so as not to disturb the shape of the ingredients. If desired, add a little cinnamon at the end of cooking. Distribute the finished dessert into small jars.

Homemade zucchini jam with citrus fruits

The classic combination of fresh zucchini and aromatic citrus fruits makes the taste of the dessert unique and delicate. If you haven't tried this homemade dessert yet, now is the time to make it. You will need the following set of ingredients:

  • young zucchini with thin skin - 1 kg;
  • fresh oranges 0.5 kg;
  • lemons, sugar and water.

First of all, the zucchini is washed, the skin and seeds are removed from them and cut into small, thin slices. Place the resulting cubes in a wide and convenient cooking container.

Lemons are scalded in boiling water, then a little zest is removed. The remaining pulp is passed through a press or blender to obtain juice, which is poured into the zucchini in a bowl, adding the zest. Oranges are washed and cut into thin slices. The skin can be left or separated from the pulp during the slicing process.

Cover the zucchini pieces with the resulting orange slices, pour in the sugar evenly so that it completely covers the contents of the container, maybe even a heaping amount.

All this is left to dry out for at least 6-7 hours in a dark place at room temperature. After a day, when there is enough juice in the bowl, pour the contents into the pan and turn on the heat.

Bring to a boil and cook, remembering to stir constantly, for about 2-3 hours, until the consistency becomes like marmalade.

Hot jam is sorted into jars, the lids are screwed on and sent to storage after they have cooled. Or the dessert is served ready-made with fresh pastries or other snacks.

Rolling quince with oranges - a recipe for a healthy and tasty dessert

The combination of tart and viscous quince with aromatic and sour orange can be called “for everyone.” But the jam from these two fruits turns out amazing and tastes very juicy. The ingredients used are only fresh fruits, regular sugar and a little ground cinnamon as an additive.

Quinces are pre-sorted, only ripe fruits without rotten or damaged areas are selected, the same applies to oranges. For 3 large quince fruits, take 1 equally dense citrus. The proportion can be varied according to taste, but the classic recipe suggests just such a combination.

Cinnamon can be used both in ground form and in incense sticks. The main thing is that it is also fresh and as spicy as possible. When the fruit is washed and dried, the quince is cut into several parts, the seeds and core are removed, then cut into small, uniform cubes.

The orange, along with the peel, is passed through a meat grinder or the zest is separated from the pulp and crushed separately.

In a deep bowl or saucepan, mix quince slices, fruit puree and the required amount of sugar, mix everything well and leave for several hours until the juice appears.

After the mass has been sufficiently sugared, put it on the fire, add a little clean water and cook to the desired consistency for 1-1.5 hours. 10-15 minutes before turning off the fire, add ground cinnamon or dip several fragrant sticks into the jam.

The finished mixture is sorted into clean, pre-sterilized jars and sealed with lids. Next, turn the resulting rolls over, let them cool and put them on the shelves or in the refrigerator. And in winter, such juicy jam is served with fresh pastries, pancakes or tea.

2. Peel the fruit from the remaining skin, grind with a blender or through a meat grinder.

3. Place all prepared ingredients in a saucepan, bring to a boil over low heat, stirring all the time, add a pinch of agar-agar, and simmer for another 2-3 minutes.

4. That's all! Our jam is ready!

Cinnamon

The citrusy cinnamon flavor of this dessert is amazing. This jam can not only be an excellent breakfast option, but also a delicious filling for various baked goods. And all you need is 4 fruits, 1/4 kg of sugar and a teaspoon of chopped cinnamon.

Wash the fruits and peel them. You can throw it away or put it in jam so that it has a richer aroma. Only in this case, it is necessary to cut the zest very thinly, trying to keep it in whole strips. This will not only be tasty, but also beautiful.

Roughly chop the orange pulp. Pour a couple of glasses of water into the pan, add sugar and bring the syrup to a boil. Dip chopped oranges into it, add zest if desired. Boil over low heat for a little over half an hour. Once the mixture becomes thick enough, pour it into jars and immediately screw it on.
