In addition, pumpkin goes well with various types of cereals. But, as practice shows, most often housewives use rice and millet cereals. You can combine them in the same proportions, it will turn out even tastier, more satisfying and healthier.

Rice groats, like millet groats, do not need to be pre-soaked. These grains cook quite quickly. But it is necessary to sort them out and wash them. Let's first remove spoiled grains and small debris. To make it more convenient to thoroughly rinse the cereals, it is better to measure them and place them in a sieve. Place the sieve under running water and leave for 10 minutes.

Peel the pumpkin and remove the seeds. The pulp can be cut into cubes or grated on a grater with large perforations. If you don't like to eat pumpkin in pieces, boil it and then grind it with an immersion blender to a puree consistency.

Advice! The porridge will be much tastier if you first simmer the pumpkin with granulated sugar until a caramel crust appears.

Additionally, a little salt, granulated sugar and butter are added to this porridge for a delicate taste.

It's no secret that porridges are prepared on a water or milk basis. Here it’s who loves and how. Cooking with milk is certainly healthy, but keep in mind that the nutritional value of such a treat will be higher. But dietary dishes are prepared exclusively on a water basis.

On a note! Pasteurized cow's milk can be combined with water in almost equal proportions. The taste of the porridge will be amazing, but the nutritional value is much lower than when preparing it exclusively on a milk basis.

The neutral taste of pumpkin pulp allows it to be combined not only with millet, rice, corn and other cereals. You can show your culinary imagination and amaze everyone with your abilities.

Additional components:

  • apples;
  • syrups;
  • nuts;
  • dates;

  • candied fruit;
  • dried apricots;
  • raisin;
  • powdered cinnamon;
  • vanilla.

Not only sweet treats are prepared with the addition of pumpkin. You can use orange fruits to make an amazing side dish for meat dishes. In this case, you can use vegetable or meat broths to cook the porridge. Additionally, the taste of side dishes with pumpkin is complemented with other vegetables and mushrooms.
