Fried garlic arrows


Inexperienced housewives use only heads of garlic, and throw away the arrows of this plant. In fact, garlic arrows can be prepared for the winter or immediately used to prepare various delicious dishes. Fried garlic arrows are a flavorful appetizer that can serve as an independent dish or as a side dish for fish and meat. They can also be added to a side dish, making it more juicy and piquant. You can fry garlic arrows according to several recipes, each of which has its own advantages.

With onions and carrots

For the vegetable version you will need:

  • a couple of onions, cut into half rings;
  • grated carrots;
  • arrows about 5 cm long;
  • vegetable oil (2-3 tbsp.);
  • a teaspoon of sesame seeds;
  • spices.

Step-by-step preparation steps:

  1. Fry the onion in heated oil until translucent.
  2. Add carrots and fry lightly.
  3. Add the arrows and fry over low heat until done, covering with a lid.
  4. Salt and pepper.
  5. Fry well by increasing the heat.
  6. Add sesame seeds.

To enhance the smell, sesame seeds can be lightly toasted in a dry frying pan.

With eggs: 3 recipes

The recipe for garlic arrows fried with egg includes the following ingredients:

  • 3 eggs;
  • 300 g arrows 3 cm long;
  • a little finely chopped dill;
  • spices to taste;
  • butter (butter is preferable - then the arrows will turn out more tender, but vegetable oil is also possible).

How to cook:

  1. Simmer the arrows in heated oil for about 5 minutes until softened.
  2. Add dill.
  3. Beat eggs with spices in a separate bowl.
  4. Pour the mixture over the arrows and fry until the eggs are cooked.

If the arrows are cooked with onions, then finely chop them, add them after frying the sticks (after about a minute) and fry for about 4 minutes until the arrows soften. Then pour in the egg mixture and add herbs.

To extinguish arrows with eggs and tomatoes, you will need:

  • 0.2 kg arrows about 2 cm long;
  • 3 eggs;
  • medium tomato – cut into small pieces;
  • 4-5 tbsp. l. oils;
  • spices.

How to cook:

  1. Heat the oil, lay out the arrows, pour in 2-3 tablespoons of water and simmer.
  2. After a couple of minutes, add spices, tomato, mix well.
  3. Beat the eggs, pour in 5 minutes after adding the spices, stir and simmer until done.
  4. Decorate the finished arrows with a sprig of dill.

To prepare an omelet you will need:

  • a bunch of arrows, cut into small pieces;
  • 3 eggs;
  • 100 ml milk;
  • spices;
  • oil.


How to cook:

  1. Fry the arrows in oil for 2 minutes.
  2. While they are frying, beat the eggs with milk and spices.
  3. Pour the mixture into the pan and simmer until done.

Recipe 7: how to fry garlic arrows with egg and tomato

  • garlic arrows (as much as you have), but preferably at least half a kilo;
  • 2-3 raw eggs;
  • tomato (these are tomatoes minced with garlic and salt and boiled, usually rolled up for the winter for borscht, a type of thick tomato juice), or ketchup or adjika - to taste, about 1/3 cup, you can do without it at all, but it tastes better with tomato;
  • butter or vegetable oil (2-3 tablespoons);
  • salt (if with tomato, then without salt), ground black pepper.

1. Boil half a pan of water. 2. Throw the garlic arrows into boiling water for 2 minutes, drain them in a colander, or simply drain the water from the pan.

3. Heat the oil in a cauldron or frying pan, put our arrows there and fry for two minutes. 4. Beat the eggs with a fork with a pinch of salt and pour in the garlic arrows, mix. 5. Pour the tomato/ketchup/adjika into the pan and stir again. If there is no tomato, then add salt. And we'll pepper it. 6. Cover with a lid and simmer for 5 minutes.
