Stewed potatoes with chicken, meat or mushrooms are familiar to all of us from childhood and, perhaps, are still quite a favorite dish for most of us. You can also make stewed potatoes in the microwave; it will be quick and less troublesome, in my opinion, than on the stove.

If you just need stewed potatoes, since they will be a side dish for the meat or fish you already have, then just don’t add the chicken.

To prepare stewed potatoes with chicken in the microwave, you can use any part of the chicken: wings, necks, legs or fillets. I made it from chicken legs.

You will need: a couple of potatoes, special microwave-safe dishes.

Take the required amount of potatoes and wash them well under running water. Place the potatoes on a paper towel and let the water drain. Or dry it with a towel. When you hear the timer beep, open the microwave door and carefully turn the potatoes over using a fork or spatula. Just don't try to do this with your bare hands, you may get burned. Lock the door and set the timer again for 4 or 5 minutes. After the timer sounds again, open the door and use a fork or knife to check if the potatoes are done. Usually 10 minutes is enough for it to be soft and well baked. Once the potatoes are ready, we recommend immersing them in cold water for a few minutes to make them easier to peel. If you think the dish is not ready yet, turn the potatoes over again, set the timer for a few minutes and put them in the microwave again. Do this step until completely cooked. These potatoes are served with butter. Don't forget to add salt to taste. If desired, you can peel or cut the potatoes into pieces. Baking time depends on the power of your microwave. To prepare you will need:

  • 9-10 medium-sized potatoes;
