General recommendations for cooking naval pasta

  • You need to choose high-quality pasta, otherwise during cooking they will stick together and turn into one big lump. If you choose a product from a local manufacturer, stop at the cones, and among the Italian varieties, pene and rigatoni are ideal.
  • When you fry minced meat with carrots, do not add oil so that it does not interrupt the taste of the food and does not increase the calorie content to sky-high levels.
  • When preparing navy pasta with chicken breast or liver, for more flavor it is better to cook it with celery root, garlic and onion.

Noodles and spaghetti are not suitable for navy pasta recipes. They make the dish a little dry, but if you cook with tomato paste, you can avoid the problem.

Classic navy pasta with minced meat

Our first recipe is traditional - it is ordinary pasta with minced meat, the preparation of which requires a minimum set of ingredients:

  • half a kilogram of minced pork or beef;
  • 350 g raw pasta;
  • two onions;
  • butter – 100-150 g;
  • salt and pepper;
  • vegetable oil.

We start by cleaning and chopping the onions, after which we transfer them to a heated frying pan with oil. Fry the onion a little and remove it, and then add the minced meat into the pan. Fry for about 15-20 minutes over high heat. The main thing is to carefully break up all the lumps of minced meat, otherwise they can ruin everything.

While the minced meat is cooking, start cooking the pasta. Boil water, add a little salt to taste and finally strain the pasta through a colander, draining all excess water. Transfer them to the minced meat cooked in the frying pan and return the onion here. Top with butter, stir and simmer over low heat for 5-7 minutes. After this, the navy pasta will be ready and you can try it.

Step-by-step preparation

  1. Rinse beef meat (500 grams). Remove all films and tendons and cut into random pieces so that they fit into the hole in the meat grinder.

  2. Grind the meat, cut into pieces, using a meat grinder with a fine grid. You can push the remaining minced meat from the meat grinder with a piece of onion or bread.

  3. Peel the onion (1 piece) and cut into small cubes.

  4. Pour water (1.5-2 liters) into a saucepan and put it on the fire. As soon as the water boils, salt it well and boil the pasta until tender. Strain the finished pasta through a colander and rinse with cold water if necessary.

  5. Place a deep frying pan over the heat. Pour vegetable oil (2 tablespoons) onto it and add diced onion. Fry the onion over maximum heat until golden brown.

  6. When the onion begins to change color (becomes golden), add minced meat to it.

  7. Let the minced meat cook for a while and then stir. Fry the minced meat, stirring occasionally, until all the liquid has evaporated and the minced meat has a nice crispy color. Without turning off the pan, add butter (30-40 grams), salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste to the minced meat. Mix everything well.

  8. Place the boiled pasta in the pan and stir until the minced meat is evenly distributed.

  9. Turn off the frying pan, the pasta with minced meat in the frying pan is ready.

Decoration methods and serving options

Serve the pasta with minced meat cooked in a frying pan hot, placing it on serving plates. You can decorate the dish with Adyghe cheese grated on a medium grater and finely chopped dill or cilantro. You can serve pasta with minced meat with ketchup, Krasnodar tomato sauce or homemade tomato sauce.

Recipe with stew and tomato paste

The recipe for navy pasta with stewed meat and pasta is quite original, for which you will need the following ingredients from the Vastivr store:

  • can of stew (400-500 g);
  • a pair of onions;
  • tomato paste 50-70 ml;
  • pasta horns or spirals (300-400 g);
  • a couple of carrots;
  • a few tablespoons of vegetable oil;
  • garlic and herbs;
  • salt and pepper.

Peel, rinse and chop the vegetables, and then fry them over low heat in hot oil. Once they turn golden and soften, the vegetables are ready. Dilute the tomato paste with water and pour it into the pan with the vegetables, add salt and pepper.

Continue to simmer the sauce for a few minutes while you cook the pasta. Drain the water from them, put them in a frying pan, add the stew and cover with a lid for 8-10 minutes. After this, arrange the pasta navy-style on plates and sprinkle with herbs. This simple recipe with stew is very original, and the dish turns out surprisingly tasty, so we advise you to try it in person!

Recipe for navy pasta with chicken

To prepare this dish you need to acquire the following set of ingredients:

  • 300 g good pasta;
  • the same amount of fillet;
  • bulb;
  • salt and pepper;
  • vegetable oil.

The chicken fillet should be washed and minced to obtain minced meat. Cut the onion into pieces and fry in oil until golden brown. Pour the minced chicken into the pan with the onions, add salt and pepper, and then stir - this must be done very carefully.

While this is happening, cook the pasta, and to prevent it from sticking, do not add too much water, which should be salted. After frying the minced meat with onions until fully cooked, add the prepared pasta. When the minced chicken is browned (this will take 5-7 minutes), you can put the dish on plates and enjoy its amazing taste.

Also be sure to serve appropriate drinks: milk, coffee or unsweetened tea. Fruit juices do not go well with pasta, but some gourmets prefer them only.

Cooking tips

  • If the prepared mass of minced meat with onions and tomato paste seems a little dry to you, pour a little (no more than two or three tablespoons) boiled water or brine from canned tomatoes into it.
  • Standard spices can be replaced with your favorite ones or not used at all, so you don’t have to follow the recipe exactly to add them. Rosemary, turmeric, marjoram, basil and nutmeg go well with pasta.
  • Cook the pasta until completely cooked, but do not allow it to become mushy as this may cause the sauce-coated pasta to clump together as it cools.

Navy pasta recipe in a slow cooker

If you have a multicooker in your kitchen, it’s not at all difficult to cook pasta with minced meat or pieces of boiled/raw meat. You will need ingredients such as:

  • 300-400 g of any minced meat (chicken, beef, pork);
  • bulb;
  • 200-300 g pasta;
  • lecho;
  • salt and pepper.

Peel and chop the onion, then mix it with the minced meat, add salt and pepper. Mix everything thoroughly and place it in the multicooker bowl, having previously greased its walls and bottom with oil.

Set the baking mode and simmer the minced meat for half an hour, opening the lid several times to stir. This must be done to avoid the appearance of lumps. If you wish, add lecho to taste or regular tomato paste.

Boil water in a kettle and pour a portion of dry pasta into the almost cooked minced meat. Stir, add salt and pour boiling water. The water should barely cover the resulting mixture. Cook on “Baking” under the lid for another 10-15 minutes, remembering to stir. When the dish is ready, place it on plates and garnish with herbs.
