But I got distracted and decided to bake homemade buns for my “knights” and share with you a simple but very tasty recipe for my buns. I make them both simply sweet and with filling. For some reason, we all like it more with condensed milk. But it can be replaced with anything, it’s a matter of everyone’s taste.

Dough recipe.

So, for the test we need:

  • 1 liter of milk (preferably homemade, the taste will be different),
  • 1/3 pack of raw yeast (100 g pack),
  • 180 g butter,
  • 2 eggs,
  • glass of sugar
  • salt to taste,
  • flour (we prepare about 1 kg, but you need to add as much as the dough will take. I’ll tell you below.),
  • boiled condensed milk (for filling).

Cooking process.

Now let's begin the process of making buns from yeast dough.

  1. Heat a liter of milk (make the milk warm so that the yeast begins to ferment) and pour it into a cup.
  2. Salt to taste and pour a glass of sugar. Stir until the sugar dissolves.

  3. Add raw yeast and knead with your hands until completely dissolved.
  4. Melt the butter. Let's wait until it cools down a little and pour it into the dough.
  5. Break the eggs, separating the yolks from the whites. For now we need the yolks, pour them into the dough, and leave the whites for the glaze.

  6. Mix everything thoroughly. You can use a mixer or a whisk. You can even use a spoon, it just happened that I needed to stir the dough, but the mixer broke, my son took my whisk away to play with and couldn’t find it. I had to use a spoon, but the process takes a long time))) Your hands get tired like hell))) And after that you begin to almost pray to the one who invented this miracle - the Mixer))).
  7. Then gradually add flour and stir. until the dough is roughly pancake-like.

  8. Cover with a towel and keep warm. for 20-30 minutes. It’s good if you put it near the radiator or above the stove. In summer you can go to the sun.
  9. After the dough has puffed up (that is, it has risen and holes appear), mix the dough, adding flour so that the dough becomes elastic and can be poured out of the cup and kneaded. I personally don’t knead much, I do something in between hard and soft. Here everyone does it to their own eyes.

  10. Now cover it again with a towel and leave it warm for 2 hours. Every 30 minutes you can lightly knead it.
