Kneading the dough:

  3. mix baking powder with flour, sift this mixture and gradually add it to the container with the rest of the ingredients. Knead the dough as for dumplings and leave it to rest for about 20 minutes.

Making the filling:

  1. the meat needs to be cut into small pieces measuring approximately 1.5x1.5 cm, put it in a bowl and mix with salt and pepper;
  2. potatoes must be cut into small cubes no larger than 1x1 cm;
  3. the onion should be chopped using an onion slicer;
  4. mushrooms need to be cut into thin slices;
  5. pour oil into a frying pan and heat it;
  6. Place the meat in a frying pan and fry it at maximum heat for about 2-3 minutes. A crust should form on the pieces;
  7. transfer meat to a clean bowl. In the remaining oil in the pan, fry the onion over moderate heat for about 2 minutes;
  8. Next, add the mushrooms to the onion and fry the ingredients for about 5-7 minutes.

Decorating and baking the cake:

  1. Divide the dough into approximately equal parts and roll them out into layers about 3 mm high;
  2. turn on the oven compartment in the stove at a temperature of 180 degrees and leave to warm up;
  3. Place a layer of dough on a greased baking sheet;
  4. potatoes should be evenly distributed over the dough, then fried meat and fried with mushrooms;
  5. cover the pie with the second part of the dough and seal the edges tightly;
  6. then, if desired, the pie can be brushed with beaten egg and a small hole can be made in the center of the pie;
