How to cook “Kefir jellied pie without eggs”

Prepare all ingredients.

Separate the cabbage into florets and boil in salted water for 3 minutes.

Pour ice water over the finished cabbage and place in a sieve.

In a deep bowl, combine flour, kefir, butter, soda, salt and sugar. Stir. The dough is ready.

Line a baking pan with parchment. Sprinkle the bottom and sides with breadcrumbs or semolina. Place cabbage florets in a single layer. The cabbage must be dried first, otherwise the dough in the middle may turn out sticky. You can first roll the cabbage in breadcrumbs or flour.

  • 1 onion;
  • a few tablespoons of vegetable oil;
  • 800 g chicken fillet;
  • several sprigs of parsley;
  • a few green onions;
  • salt - to taste;
  • 2 eggs;
  • 500 ml kefir;
  • 320 g sifted flour;
  • ½ teaspoon of soda;
  • 1 teaspoon sugar.

Lenten cabbage pie with yeast

You can also make a completely lean jellied pie. Such baked goods will be a real find for fans of vegetarian food.

  • 3 cups flour;
  • 1.5 cups;
  • 3 tablespoons of vegetable oil;
  • 1 teaspoon baker's yeast;
  • 1 tablespoon sugar;
  • 1 incomplete teaspoon of salt.

Filling:

  • 500 gr. cabbage;
  • 1 onion;
  • 1 glass of cucumber or tomato brine;
  • 2-3 tablespoons of sugar;
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil;
  • spices to taste.

Let's prepare the filling. Fry onion and shredded cabbage in vegetable oil. Then pour the brine into the vegetable mixture and simmer until soft. Season to taste with sugar and pepper. Place the finished cabbage in a colander to drain excess liquid.

Take two glasses of flour and sift. Mix flour with dry yeast and salt. Dissolve sugar in warm water and add vegetable oil. Pour the resulting liquid into the prepared flour.

Advice! When purchasing yeast, pay attention to the fact that there are varieties of this product that are mixed with flour, and there are those that need to be diluted in liquid.

Stir and gradually add more flour, focusing on the consistency of the dough. It should be thick enough so that it does not drip, but slowly slides off the spoon. Cover the bowl with the dough with a towel and leave for about half an hour. Then mix vigorously again.

Place the dough (about half) into the mold. Then distribute the cabbage and cover the filling with dough. Place the mold in a warm place for twenty minutes. Then we put it in the oven. Cook for about one hour at 180 degrees.

Milk batter option

Batter with milk is easy to make. But experienced chefs say that you need to know the secrets of its preparation:

  1. If you beat the ingredients for a very long time, the dough will become dense.
  2. First, mix the dry products, and then pour in the heated milk.

The temperature of the dairy product should not exceed 33 °C.

  • 380 ml milk 3.5% fat;
  • ¾ standard pack of sweet butter;
  • 2 chicken eggs of the highest category;
  • 200 g flour;
  • 1 packet of baking powder;
