Today we have a simple and tasty dish - fried potatoes with onions and garlic. I will prepare it in an unusual way: first I boil it a little, literally 5-6 minutes, and only then fry it with onions, garlic and aromatic spices. This allows you to reduce the time it takes to cook potatoes in a frying pan (for me they were ready in 15 minutes). As a result, the potatoes are tender, soft, aromatic and very tasty. It can be served as a separate dish or as a side dish for meat or fish.

  • Hot pepper - 0.5 pcs.
  • Garlic - 1 clove
  • Vegetable oil - 3 tbsp.
  • Soy sauce - 1 tbsp.

I don't know about you, but I just love fried potatoes. Potatoes with garlic remind me of the distant years of my youth, when these potatoes were fried in the dorm, and what mind-blowing smells wafted around.

Potatoes can be made lower in calories if you're really concerned about calories. To do this, just bake it in the oven. But we cook these potatoes in a frying pan with new additives that make the potatoes even more fragrant and golden.

Let's prepare the ingredients for making fried potatoes with garlic and herbs.

Cut the potatoes into slices. I prefer cutting into strips, but this is already a trend of fast food culture, and before they always cut potatoes into slices or rings.

Also cut the garlic into small slices with a knife. It is not forbidden for those who like to increase its quantity. I took the hot pepper to my liking. For those who don’t like it, you don’t have to add it or replace it with black pepper.

Fry the potatoes in vegetable oil until lightly browned, but not cooked. Pour in a little soy sauce. It will give such a pleasant aroma to your potatoes and even sweetness. Add a little salt and stir more often, since soy sauce makes the potatoes easily brown and can burn.

When the potatoes are ready and soft, it's time to add slices of garlic and hot pepper. Stir quickly over heat for 1-2 minutes. And as soon as the smell of garlic spreads throughout the kitchen, you can turn off the heat. Fried potatoes with garlic and herbs are ready.

Serve the potatoes generously sprinkled with herbs. Any fresh salad or homemade pickles go well with it.
