Roast pork is a popular and favorite dish, often found on the table of experienced housewives.
Beginning cooks often end up with something like a stew of meat and vegetables instead of a fragrant roast - the dish, although tasty and equally filling, is still not the desired roast.
In order for the dish to be a success, without drying out, burning, or turning into soup, you need not only to select the right amount of ingredients, but also to choose the right utensils for cooking.
Usually this is a cauldron, clay pots, stewpans, but, as it turned out, roast pork and potatoes in a slow cooker are especially successful and do not require special knowledge. Thanks to long simmering in a closed container, the dish really comes out very aromatic, tender and tasty.
Roast pork in a slow cooker with potatoes

Many women strive to ease their household chores, and household appliances come to the rescue. Cooking roast pork and potatoes in a slow cooker is a very simple dish that won’t take much time. All you have to do is prepare the ingredients and place them in a miracle pan to make our roast pork and potatoes.
How to choose a product
Meat cooked in a slow cooker is tender and flavorful. The best part is the neck with layers of fat. Select pork that is light pink in color with a matte surface and white fat, without obvious signs of foreign odors.
When you press a finger on a piece of pork, the pit is leveled, and if liquid appears, then the meat was frozen. All beneficial substances are retained in a fresh or chilled product. A dark color indicates a pig of great age; such meat will be stringy and take a long time to cook.
Treat the multicooker bowl with oil. If there is no “Stew” function, it can be replaced with “Soup”. With this method, the food simmers like in a Russian oven.
Potatoes are a wonderful source of energy, a storehouse of vitamin B6, which protects the cardiovascular system and fights cancer.
Pork contains amino acids that act as antioxidants. The slow cooker preserves thiamine and vitamins that stimulate the activity of brain neurons. In addition, meat does not contain carbohydrates, and the energy value of the product will be low. Per 100 g of roast in a slow cooker there are 131 kcal, 5 g of proteins and carbohydrates.
