How to choose ingredients

  1. Cut 350 or 450 g of beef into small pieces.

  2. Cut one onion into half rings.

  3. Pour 2-3 tbsp into the multicooker bowl. spoons of butter. Place beef and onions in it.

  4. Close the multicooker and switch to the “fry” mode for 15 minutes. During this time, the meat needs to be mixed 2 times.

  5. Mix 1/3 teaspoon each of khmeli-suneli and turmeric seasonings and add to the meat.

  6. Salt to taste and add 1 tbsp. spoon of tomato paste. Stir.

  7. Pour 1 cup of cold water into the multicooker bowl and set the multicooker to “simmer” for 40 minutes.

  8. During this time, peel 300 or 400 g of potatoes and cut them into slices.

  9. When the beef is ready, add the potatoes and switch to the “steam” mode for 30 minutes.

With tomato sauce

Homemade ketchup is perfect for this dish. Ingredients: 2 large spoons of tomato paste or ketchup, 2 large tomatoes, half a kilo of meat and a little more potatoes, carrots, garlic to taste, onion, salt, 2 tbsp. water.

How to cook beef stew with potatoes in a Redmond slow cooker

Do the dirty work first - peel and rinse all the vegetables. Chop them finely. Then place the onions, carrots and peppers into the multicooker bowl. Add oil. Turn on the “Frying” mode for 10 minutes. Vegetables should be well sautéed.

Rinse the cooled meat in cold water. Cut off films and veins, if any. Wipe the piece with a napkin and cut into cubes or any other cut. The main thing is not large and across the fibers. Send to vegetables.

Fry in the same program for about a quarter of an hour. The pieces of meat will lighten in color and become a little softer.

Pour 2.5 cups of boiling water into the bowl with the ingredients. Add ground pepper to taste, allspice peas and salt. If you like the taste of bay leaves, add a couple of small leaves. Now an important point - set the “Extinguishing” mode for a time of 90 minutes. The lid remains tightly closed.

Recipe

Step 1

The meat is washed and cut into medium cubes. Wash and peel carrots and onions. Cut carrots into pieces, onions into half rings.

Step 2

Pour two tablespoons of vegetable oil into the multicooker bowl and add pieces of beef. The meat is fried in the “Frying” or “Baking” mode for 10 minutes.

Step 3

Add carrots and onions to the meat pieces and fry for another 5 minutes. Add tomato sauce and pour in water. In the multicooker, turn on the “Stew” program for 2.5 hours.

Step 4

The potatoes are washed, peeled, and placed in cold water so that the tubers do not darken. An hour before the end of the “Stewing” program, cut the potatoes into cubes and add them to the meat. You can add a little water along with the potatoes if there is not enough water left.
