Greek salad is a fairly well-known dish that has been prepared in different ways for a long time. At the same time, a slight deviation from the original recipe does not in any way impair the taste of the snack.

We will need:

  • chicken breast - 130 g;
  • half an onion;
  • 4-5 slices of bread;
  • 1 bell pepper;
  • a couple of cucumbers;
  • virgin olives - 70 g;
  • 5-6 lettuce leaves;
  • 3 tbsp. l. olive oil;
  • feta or cheese - 100 g;
  • tomatoes - 2 pcs.;
  • vegetable oil for frying;
  • spices to taste.

On a note! Are you on a diet? Skip the frying steps. Leave the chicken boiled and dry the croutons in the oven.

Cooking technology step by step:

Boil the breast (you can replace it with a leg) until cooked. Then divide into arbitrary cubes and fry in vegetable oil. Take bread pieces and cut off the crusts. Cut the crumb into cubes. Bake in the oven for 10 minutes or lightly fry in a frying pan.

We replace the lettuce leaves from classic to Romano.

Ingredients:

  • Salad “Romano” 200 gr
  • Chicken breast 100 g
  • Parmesan 70 gr

I advise you not to skimp on feta, buy good quality, then the taste of the salad will be as pleasant as possible and similar to the traditional one.

Ingredients

  • Tomatoes – 200 g
  • Cucumbers - 2 pcs.
  • Olives - 80 g
  • Feta – 80 g
  • Salad onion - 40 g
  • Bell pepper - 1 pc.
  • Olive oil - 2 tbsp.
  • Wine vinegar - 1 tsp.
  • Oregano - 1 tbsp. l.
  • Quail egg - 7 pcs.
  • Salt and pepper - to taste

How to cook

Prepare all ingredients for Greek salad with quail eggs. Wash and dry the vegetables, peel the onions. I took the Mikado variety of tomatoes, only small ones - they are sweet and very aromatic, like cherry tomatoes.

Place the eggs in a small cauldron (saucepan), cover with cold water. Once boiling, cook for no longer than 4 minutes. Cool the finished eggs and remove the shells.

Cut off the tails on both sides of the cucumbers, remove the seeds and stalks from the pepper. Cut the vegetables into medium cubes and place in a deep bowl.

Cut out the stem of the tomatoes, cut the pulp into large cubes, and add the lettuce, chopped into small strips.

Cut the quail eggs lengthwise into two parts and place in the salad along with the olives.
