You can taste such a treat without fear, because it contains all the ingredients you know, and it is especially good for children.

Let's start preparing the dough. At the first stage, stir the yeast in warm water, add 1 tsp. Sahara. Place in a warm place for 15 minutes until a yeast “cap” forms. Mix.

Sift the flour onto a clean and dry table surface. Add salt and a little sugar to it. Mix everything. Add a few pieces of butter here. If desired, the oil can be grated. Now the mixture needs to be chopped into crumbs with a knife.

Let's return to the yeast mixture. After it has risen, add the egg and pour in the milk. The resulting liquid mixture must be poured into the flour crumbs. To prevent the yeast liquid from spreading all over the table, you need to form a hole out of the crumbs. Now knead the dough until it becomes elastic and smooth. What's next? The resulting dough must be placed in the refrigerator for a couple of hours. After this, you can start preparing dessert. Take the dough out of the refrigerator, roll it out and cut out small diamonds measuring 5x5 cm.

We wash the strawberries and remove the stems. Cut into cubes.

Sprinkle each dough diamond with sugar. Place strawberries in its center. We seal the edges so that the juice does not leak out. Grease a baking tray with butter. Now we lay out our diamonds. Bake for about 15 minutes. To make the strawberry puffs tasty and crispy, they must be greased before baking. To do this, you can use egg yolk with sugar or plain sweet water.

How to make Strawberry Puffs

1. Prepare the ingredients and defrost the dough at room temperature. Wash the berries, tear off the tails. It’s up to you to decide whether to use starch or not, but the juice will be released in any case, just not in such quantities. If you use starch, roll each berry well in it before placing it on the dough. Now I will show you several ways to make simple and beautiful puff pastries. Let's get started!

2. Method one. Place the dough on the table, roll it out a little, there is no need to make it thin. Use cookie cutters to make circles, leave half of the circles whole, and make holes in the center of the others using a flower cutter.

3. Place the berries on the dough.

4. Cover the dough with holes as shown in the photo. Use a fork or the back of a knife to press down the edge. Ready!

5. Second method. Cut the dough into squares. Using a pizza knife, cut the dough as in the photo: 2 corners - cut to the end, and the opposite 2 - do not cut to the end.

6. Place one cut corner on the opposite side, then fold over the second corner of the dough and place it flat on the other edge.

7. Fill the baskets with strawberries. Ready!

8. Third method. Cut the dough into rectangles. Cut half of the rectangle with a pizza cutter, as in the photo.

9. Place berries on the other edge.

10. Cover with the cut half, press the edge, and shape it with a fork.

11. Transfer the puff pastries to parchment paper. Brush with yolk and sprinkle generously with sugar. Place in a hot (220 degrees) oven for 20 minutes.

Recipe for making puff pastry puffs (without yeast)

For the filling, take equal amounts of strawberries and sugar. Let's start preparing the dough. Pour the flour onto the surface and place the butter cut into pieces on top. Separately, stir salt and sugar in cold water. Next, pour water into the flour and butter and begin to quickly knead the dough. When the dough is ready, cover it with a damp towel and put it in the refrigerator. If you are not in a hurry to prepare the dessert, then leave the dough overnight. Then we take out the dough and roll it out at least twice. Each time we fold it into an envelope and roll it out again.

If you don’t prepare the strawberry puff pastry right away, you can put the dough in the refrigerator for a couple of days. Otherwise, it is better to store it in the freezer. Strawberry puffs made from puff pastry without yeast are prepared according to the same principle as if you were using puff pastry. The shape of the puffs can be different. It doesn't have to be diamonds. The main thing is to fasten them so that the filling does not leak out. So, lay out the filling, close the puff pastry and put it in the oven for 15 minutes. Don't forget to brush the puff pastries with egg yolk.

Layered pie with strawberries - easy, quick, interesting

The big advantage of this pie is that it can be prepared at any time of the year, and not just during the short season of fresh strawberries. In winter, frozen berries will work just as well for it. And all because we will cook it a little with sugar. And this is perhaps the most difficult stage of preparing our pie. We use ready-made puff pastry. Moreover, it does not matter at all whether it is yeasty or fresh. The first one will make the baked goods a little airier, and the yeast-free one will be crispier. If you froze ripe strawberries in the summer and there is a package of puff pastry in the freezer nearby, go to the kitchen! We take it out and start cooking, looking at the step-by-step recipe with photos, which I offer you today.

What do we need

  • puff pastry (yeast or yeast-free) - 400-500 g;
  • strawberries (fresh or frozen) - 400 g;
  • sugar - 120-140 g;
  • starch - 2 tbsp;
  • water - 2 tbsp.
  • milk - 2 tbsp.

The specified amount of dough makes about 5-6 servings of pie. The dimensions of my form are 28 cm by 12 cm.

How to make puff pastry pie with strawberries

  1. First, take the dough out of the freezer. We need it completely defrosted. We take it out of the packaging, place it on a cutting board and cover it with film so that the surface does not dry out.
  2. In the meantime, let's make the filling. Place the strawberries in a saucepan. There is no need to defrost frozen food.

  3. Pour water. Mix sugar and starch and place on the stove over moderate heat.

  4. We are waiting for it to boil. Cook for 5 minutes with frequent stirring. The sugar will dissolve, the strawberries will defrost, cook slightly, and the starch will bind the juice and make it a little thicker. In general, the entire filling will be similar to strawberry jam, but the taste will be different from it. It turns out fresher (even from frozen strawberries) and less sweet. By the way, the amount of sugar may depend more or less on the acidity of the berries and your love for sweets. Cool the finished filling until warm.

  5. If you have dough in sheets, first take one and roll it out on a flour-dusted surface to a thickness of 5 mm. If the dough is in a roll, separate half and roll it out.

  6. Place the rolled out puff pastry into a rimmed pan. If you are not sure about your shape, you can grease it a little with vegetable oil. We lay it out so that we have the bottom and sides of the pie.

  7. Pour in the filling.

  8. Our pie is open, but we will make a lattice from the dough we set aside. To do this, lightly roll out and cut into strips, which are then laid out on the surface of the strawberries at right angles to each other or at an angle of 45°.

  9. We cut off the excess ends. Use a brush to lubricate the sides so that the grille adheres to them better. Take a fork and press the tips of the strips firmly against the sides of the pie with the tines of the fork.

  10. Brush the top with the rest of the milk so that when baking, a beautiful glossy blush forms on the surface of the puff pastry.

  11. Place in an oven preheated to 200 degrees for 20-25 minutes. Keep an eye on the cake, the time may vary due to the characteristics of the technique.

  12. After the specified time has passed, take out the pie. Let it cool a little in the mold and take it out.

Cool completely. The cooled strawberry pie can be sprinkled with powdered sugar on top.

Our layer cake has a crispy, airy dough and a fragrant, slightly runny filling. When serving, you can additionally put a scoop of creamy ice cream or a spoonful of whipped cream on each plate.
