5. While the dish is cooking, wash and sterilize the jars with boiling water. Pour the puree over them, roll them up, and eat them chilled.
Apple jam at home: a simple recipe using a meat grinder
This simple recipe for delicious apple jam is prepared at home by grinding the fruit through a meat grinder.
We take:
- 3 kilograms of apples
- 1.8 kilograms of sugar
How to cook:
We cut the fruits, peeled and freed from the seed box, into pieces and grind them in a meat grinder.
Mix the twisted apples with sugar. We stand for two hours.
Bring the resulting mass to a boil, stirring continuously. Leave it overnight. Let it boil in the morning. Let stand until evening.

It's easy to make apple and pear jam.

- 1.5 kg of pears;
- 2 kg sugar.
We select ripe apples and pears, wash the fruits, and peel them from seeds and peels. Then you need to cut the apples and pears into small thin slices. Place the fruit in a cooking bowl and sprinkle with sugar. Leave for a couple of hours to release the juice. If there is not enough coca, you can add a glass of water.
Place the bowl with the fruit on the fire and bring, stirring, to a boil. Reduce the heat and continue to simmer the mixture until the fruit pieces are softened and the jam itself becomes thick. Cooking time depends on the hardness of the fruit. Soft apples and pears cook faster than hard ones. On average, jam needs to be cooked for about 1 hour.
Place the hot jam into sterilized jars and immediately close them tightly with tin lids.
Apple jam for the winter with condensed milk
Absolutely everyone in our family loves this delicacy with condensed milk. It has a unique milky taste. The best dessert for tea.
We will need:
- 2 kilos of apples

How to cook this delicious dish:

The jam is cooked sweet almost to the point of cloying; after adding sugar, its crystals must be completely dissolved; no further cooking is required.

The unusual jam is best used as a sweet sauce for pancakes or pancakes, or as a filling for homemade cakes.
How to cook Antonovka jam correctly
I propose to cook apple jam from Antonovka in two different ways.
To prepare the dough from the oven, take:

I am sharing with you a delicious caramel jam that turns out very tasty and thick. It can be safely used as a filling for baked goods. To achieve the desired result, follow the recipe instructions and do not reduce the recommended amount of sugar.
Ingredients:
- 1.5 kg of fruits prepared for processing;
- 1.5 kg of sugar.
Cooking method:
1. To prepare apples for further processing, you need to peel the washed fruits and cut the pulp into pieces.
2. Next, take a cauldron or any thick-bottomed heat-resistant container and cook the caramel. To do this, pour half a kilogram of sugar into a dry bowl, place it on the hob and, with constant stirring (so that the sand does not burn, otherwise the jam will acquire an unpleasant bitterness), wait for the dry substance to melt. Under the cauldron, reduce the gas to minimum.
3. When most of the sand has melted, add another half kilogram and stir until the sugar is liquid. Then add the remaining sand and cook until it reaches a caramel color. If lumps form, there is no need to break them; to obtain a uniform syrup consistency, they will dissolve during cooking.
4. Pour fruit pieces into the prepared caramel, knead the delicacy until the apples give up some of their juice and are completely distributed throughout the syrup. When the jam boils, it should be boiled for 15-20 minutes until the fruit is completely softened. After turning off the gas, if desired, you can beat the workpiece to a smooth consistency using an immersion blender.
5. Place the finished delicacy in a steamed glass container, seal it tightly and leave it on the table until it cools completely.

- Apples – 1.2 kg.
- Carrots – 1 kg.

I usually use sour varieties of apples to make jam: Antonovka, Grushovka, Semerenko, White filling, Idared. You can take the varieties that are available in your area. It’s better not to buy imported ones, the taste will be completely different. The amount of sugar in the recipe is indicated for sour varieties. If the apples are sweet, feel free to reduce them. The color of the finished jam depends on the type of fruit; it can vary from light yellow to red-brown.
We will need:
- peeled apples - 1 kg;
- granulated sugar - 600-700g;
- citric acid - 1 tsp;
- water – 100-150ml.

How to cook apple jam at home
- We sort the apples, remove rotten and broken ones. Rinse well under running water. We remove the tails, cut off the skin, cut out the core and divide into 4 parts, this is if the fruit is not large in size. If you get a large one, cut it into 6-8 pieces.
- Pour water into a saucepan, add apples, add citric acid, maybe juice from 1/2 lemon, mix everything well and put on fire. Do not add a lot of water, the fruit will release juice. We need the slices to soften or boil, it all depends on the variety. This will take from 20 to 45 minutes. Be sure to stir the mixture so it doesn't burn. And cover with a lid and let it simmer.
- As soon as you see that most of the mass has become mushy, remove the dish from the heat and let it cool.
- Blend the cooled mass with a blender until smooth. You can rub it through a sieve, but I am spoiled by the presence of electric assistants in the kitchen and have already lost the habit of this procedure.
- Pour sugar into it, stir and put it back on the stove over moderate heat. The puree must be boiled. It becomes smooth, swells and tries to “shoot”. Cover with a lid, otherwise everything around will be covered in applesauce. Stir constantly, the sweetness tends to burn quickly. Boiling time takes 30-40 minutes. I sometimes add ground cinnamon for flavor. You can also throw a whole cinnamon “tube” into the pan and remove it at the end of cooking.
- For my family, jars with a volume of 300-500 ml. - the best option. They need to be washed and sterilized. Place the sweets only in dry, heated containers.
- We pack it hot into clean jars, roll it up with tin lids, you can use screw-on or tight nylon lids. We wrap them in an old blanket all night and let them stay warm. Then we transfer it to a cool place.

Grind the apples using an immersion blender. Separately, grind the lingonberries to a puree. Mix apple and lingonberry puree and put on fire. Boil the jam, stirring constantly, for about 15 minutes. It will seem runny, but as it cools it will thicken. Pour the jam into sterilized jars and immediately close tightly.
Chocolate jam
