  • Processed cheese - 2 packs.
  • Hard cheese – 70 g
  • Milk – 300 ml
  • Garlic - 3 teeth.
  • Mayonnaise - 3 tbsp. l.

Grate potatoes and cheese on a coarse grater. Mix well.

Season with salt, add finely grated garlic and your favorite seasonings. Pour the resulting mixture with milk so that the potatoes are completely covered with milk.

Pour into a well-greased mold and bake at 160-170 degrees.

Meanwhile, while the dish is baking, make the spread. Hard cheese should be grated on a fine grater and mixed with mayonnaise.

When the surface of the casserole becomes dry (after about 30 minutes), remove it from the oven and evenly grease it with the cheese and mayonnaise mixture. Then bake again until golden brown. In general, my casserole took 50 minutes to cook in the oven.

Casserole of raw grated potatoes with cheese and garlic in the oven without meat

Hi all! I’m sure you don’t often cook casseroles, but that’s in vain, because they are quite easy to make. This results in a complete meal for dinner or lunch for the whole family. And when it comes to this potato dish, many people don’t want to bother with it, since usually, before you start preparing the dish itself, the potatoes must first be boiled and then cooled. And this takes more time and effort.

But today I want to share with you a recipe for a casserole that will be prepared from raw, grated potatoes. A minimum of effort will be required from you, since the whole process will be reduced to mixing the products and baking them in the oven. An excellent option for both a main dish and a side dish. Because we will make it without meat.

This aromatic dish flavored with garlic and mayonnaise will definitely please everyone in your household. And the cheese crust will not leave anyone indifferent. I am sure that such a simple recipe will help you out more than once.

Ingredients:

If you've ever made casseroles, you know that, as a rule, they require very simple and straightforward ingredients. This is one of those dishes that you can take and prepare without having to go to the store for something missing. Therefore, it will be especially relevant when you want something tasty, but don’t want to stand at the stove for a long time.

We will need:

  • 6-7 medium-sized potatoes;
  • 2 eggs;
  • 4 tablespoons of mayonnaise;
  • 2 cloves of garlic;
  • 100 g cheese;
  • one tablespoon of dried dill;
  • salt and pepper to taste.

In order to “lighten” the dish a little, you can replace mayonnaise with sour cream or natural yogurt without additives. Also, depending on your preferences, you can add a little more or, conversely, less garlic.

Recipe:

1. Grate the cheese on a fine grater. We divide it into two parts. We combine one of them with one egg and herbs (in my case it’s dried dill).

Let's put this mass aside for now. We will cover the surface of the casserole with it so that it browns and becomes a beautiful golden color.

Mix the second part with another egg, grated garlic and mayonnaise.

2. Peel the potatoes, wash them and grate them on a coarse grater.

We prepare the potatoes at the last moment so that they do not have time to darken.

And add it to the cheese-mayonnaise mixture, adding salt and pepper to your taste. Keep in mind that cheese can sometimes be very salty, so depending on yours, adjust the amount of salt so you don't overdo it. Otherwise the dish will be spoiled.

3. First put the potato mixture in a baking dish, then cover it with the cheese mixture. Place everything in the oven for 40 minutes. The oven must first be preheated to 180 degrees. The time may be slightly different from mine, so keep an eye on the dish during cooking so that it does not burn.

It turns out to be a delicate base under a golden brown crust. Children usually really like this simple option without fillings. But, of course, you can add other ingredients to the casserole if you wish. Try and choose the one you like best.

Cut into pieces like a pie and serve. This dish goes especially well with sour cream.

Potato casserole with vegetables and cheese

A tasty, aromatic and satisfying casserole is perfect for a family dinner. Vegetables are simmered in the oven in soft sour cream under a fragrant cheese crust. You will really like the result.

In addition to this recipe, the culinary blog has a recipe for potato casserole, as well as a recipe for Shepherd's Pie, which is also, in principle, a casserole, only made from minced meat and mashed potatoes.

Ingredients:

  • potatoes – 700 gr.
  • tomatoes – 4 pcs.
  • sweet pepper – 2 pcs.
  • sour cream or cream – 250 gr.
  • cheese – 150 gr.
  • salt, spices and herbs - to taste.

Preparing potato casserole with cheese and vegetables:

  1. Wash and peel the potatoes. Now each potato needs to be cut into medallions. To do this, use a special grater or a simple sharp kitchen knife. Please note - the thinner you cut the potatoes, the faster the casserole will cook.

  2. Grate the cheese using a grater with medium-sized holes.

  3. Wash the sweet pepper pods, remove the stem along with the seeds and chop into small pieces. Choose the color of the sweet peppers yourself: red, green or yellow - it depends only on your preferences. You can also use peppers of different colors, then the potato casserole with cheese will turn out even brighter and more beautiful.

  4. Wash the tomatoes, dry with a kitchen towel and remove the stem. Cut each tomato into thin circles. The quantity of tomatoes depends on their size. I had large fruits, so I only needed three of them.

  5. Now that all the ingredients are prepared, the most important thing left to do is prepare the filling for the potato casserole with cheese. If you use sour cream, then it needs to be made somewhat thinner. To do this, add a little milk or water to it and mix well. If you use cream, then you don’t need to do anything extra with it - it’s quite liquid.
  6. Add salt, allspice, other seasonings to your taste and chopped herbs. Stir. The filling is ready.
  7. Prepare a baking sheet and begin layering the casserole. First, place the potato circles. Lay them in an even layer, overlapping.

  8. There is no need to add salt and pepper yet. All the salt and seasonings are in the filling, and it needs to be poured over every third layer of the casserole. Place a layer of tomatoes on the potato circles.

  9. Then again a layer of potato medallions, overlapping. This was the third layer in our casserole, so pour the filling on top. Do not spare it, it will be well absorbed into the potatoes.

  10. Next comes a layer of sweet pepper.

  11. Then again a layer of potatoes and a layer of tomatoes. If you have a fairly deep baking dish, you can continue further. Then your casserole will be higher. Well, we'll stop there. Cover the top of the casserole with filling and a layer of grated cheese.
  12. Place the casserole in an oven preheated to 180°C. It takes quite a long time to prepare – an hour and a half. Check the readiness of the casserole by checking the readiness of the potatoes.

Serve the vegetable casserole hot. Bon appetit!

Recipe 4. Casserole with cheese and minced meat

This casserole recipe is very tasty. And besides, it is very easy to prepare. Meat as one of the components of the dish will make this casserole more satisfying.

So, to prepare potato casserole with minced meat we will need the following ingredients:

• 600 g potatoes; • 200 g beef; • 200 g pork; • 1 PC. onions; • hard cheese – 200 g; • sour cream – 100 g; • greens – 10 g; • salt to taste; • 2 pinches of ground black pepper.

Preparation

It is recommended to prepare minced meat yourself from beef and pork. Grind the pork and beef along with onions and herbs through a meat grinder. Add spices as desired, as well as ground pepper and salt to the prepared minced meat. If you want the minced meat to be more liquid, pour a small amount of water into it. Next, everything needs to be mixed. Grate the cheese on a coarse grater, and peel the potatoes and cut into thin slices. In a pre-prepared pan, coat it with oil, place a layer of potatoes. A layer of potatoes should be greased with sour cream, salt and pepper. Place a layer of cheese on top. Then lay out a new layer of potatoes and again salt and pepper it. Next, lay out the minced meat and sprinkle with cheese. Then add another layer of potatoes. Salt and pepper it. Next comes another layer of minced meat, which needs to be sprinkled with cheese. If desired, the order of the layers can be changed, but it is recommended to always make the top layer from potatoes. Now preheat the oven and set the casserole to cook for 30-45 minutes at a temperature of +190...+200 °C. You can lightly pierce the casserole with a fork to check its doneness.
