Pork steak with vegetables and cheese (in the oven)

The average dinner will turn into a pleasant pastime if you put this mind-blowing dish on the table. It is easy to prepare. The simplest knowledge is enough - and pork with cheese will become a favorite dish in your family. Let's get acquainted today with some ways of preparing the dish. Rest assured: a little imagination - and you definitely won’t get tired of banal pork for a long time. Here they are - recipes for pork with cheese with photos of ready-made delicious dishes.

Under a vegetable coat

The ingredients are simple, which makes cooking even more enjoyable.

Products and their quantity:

  • meat (pork) - half a kilogram of pulp, without excess fat;
  • semi-hard cheese - 250 grams;
  • white cabbage - 400-600 grams;
  • carrots - 2 root vegetables;
  • white onion, onion - 2 heads;
  • salt and freshly ground pepper;
  • vegetable oil without aroma - for greasing the mold;
  • mayonnaise - at personal discretion.

Preparing the Components

To prepare pork under a fur coat with cheese, you need to follow a few simple steps:

  1. Rinse the cabbage with cool water. Tear off the covering leaves and chop the vegetable very finely.
  2. Wash carrots thoroughly. Clear. Grind using a grater of a convenient fraction.
  3. Peel the onion too and be sure to cut off the inedible parts. Rinse the vegetable with water to remove excess juice and possible contamination. Chop into half rings or quarter rings.
  4. Since we should end up with pork covered in cheese, let’s grate a piece of semi-hard cheese using any grater.

Place the meat and cook in the oven

Generously grease a baking sheet or baking dish with vegetable oil. Grind the meat into cubes. Place on the bottom of the mold in one layer. Sprinkle with salt and add pepper to taste.

Place onion rings on the meat base. Next, put the carrots in the mold and level the layer.

Salt the cabbage in a bowl and mash it lightly. Place carrot shavings on the surface. Repeat thin layers again if any food remains. Mix the cheese with mayonnaise and add to complete the whole process. Flatten it to get the same appetizing pork under cheese as in the photo above. Cover the baking sheet with foil, shiny side down.

Cook in a hot oven (200 degrees). Cooking time is at least fifty minutes. After 40 minutes from the start of baking the pork under the cheese, take out the baking sheet and remove the foil. Send the meat under the cheese coat to brown for another 10-15 minutes. When the top becomes covered with an appetizing crust, the dish is ready.

French-style pork in the oven with potatoes - a classic recipe

This is the simplest preparation option. The basis is pork and potatoes plus two types of cheese and voila! (as the French would say). There's nothing extra here, but it's so delicious!

Ingredients:

  • Pork - 950 gr.
  • Potatoes - 10-12 pieces (I have small tubers).
  • Onion - 1 pc.
  • Cream cheese - 350 gr.
  • Cheese cheese - 80-100 gr.
  • Salt, pepper - to taste.
  • Mayonnaise.

So let's get started. Most French meat is made with pork. Although, a little lower I will have a chicken option. Well, now I have pork loin.

This meat is quite dense, softens after baking, but holds its shape well. There is little fat in it, especially if you cut off the rims, but I didn’t, it would be juicier.

I cut all the meat into medallions, 1-1.5 cm thick, and beat it, but not until transparent. Added salt and pepper on both sides.

I place the minced meat under a bag so it doesn’t get airy while I work on other ingredients and put it in the refrigerator.

I chop the onion finely. This is optional, you can leave it in rings or half rings if you like.

I grate some of the cheese, not even half - less. And I mix it with onions and mayonnaise. There is about 4-5 tbsp of mayonnaise here. l. This is for the whole dish, I won’t add more.

I mix, getting a homogeneous “coat” with which I will cover the meat.

I cut the potatoes in half and cut them into slices. They should not be very thick, otherwise they will take a long time to bake. And then I remembered one incident. The type of potato also matters, and what a difference!

The potatoes should be suitable for baking, they will become soft, but keep their shape, then it will turn out perfect.

Once we had a family gathering, but not at our house. The table was set. Which means I was assigned to cook meat in French. Well, I’m so cool, my hand is full, I took up cooking.
