Greetings, hopeless romantics! A fireplace, flickering twilight and candle flames disintegrating into thousands of lights in glasses of crimson wine and ruby ​​pomegranates. Surely even the most hardened pragmatist at least once in his life wanted to plunge into such an atmosphere with a loved one, let alone romantics. What does pomegranate have to do with it, you ask? For such a special occasion, I suggest preparing a pomegranate bracelet salad with beef, which will perfectly fit into the atmosphere and contribute to the romantic mood. Besides this, it is also very tasty.

There are many variations of this salad; the classic version uses chicken. I offer my version with beef. The only “exotic” thing in a simple set of products is the very garnet that will make the bracelet ruby.

The amount of ingredients in the recipe is approximate, as it depends on the desired size of the salad. I used a small plate with a diameter of 19 cm, for a larger dish increase the amount of ingredients. Separately, I note that I prepare the bracelet without beets, which are often used in this kind of puff salads.

Although the process of making a garnet bracelet is quite cumbersome, with my step-by-step photos you will create a culinary masterpiece without any problems.

Classic recipe for Pomegranate Bracelet salad with chicken (layers)

There is no one generally accepted classic recipe for this salad. But there is a recipe that is used most often. And I will give it below with a detailed description of the entire cooking process.

Most often, chicken goes into salads as a protein; it is more accessible and familiar to us. That’s why this meat is used in the most common recipe.

Ingredients:

  • 0.3 kg boiled chicken fillet
  • 1 pomegranate
  • 1 boiled beet
  • 1 onion
  • 1 boiled carrot
  • 2 potato tubers
  • 2 eggs
  • 50 g walnuts
  • Mayonnaise

1. First, pour boiling water over the onion pieces to remove unnecessary bitterness.

2. In this recipe we do not boil the carrots, but fry them a little in vegetable oil, after chopping them on a medium grater. Next, place it on a sieve to drain off excess oil.

3. Boil the chicken fillet in boiling water, cool so as not to burn your fingers and finely chop against the grain.

4. We also finely chop the potatoes, eggs and beets and put them in different containers.

5. To give a symbolic shape to the bracelet, place a round object in the center of the dish: a glass, a glass, a jar. The diameter is not important here, the main thing is the shape.

6. Place the grated potatoes next to each other. If you boiled it in its jacket, add a little salt. I think it's better to salt it while cooking.

We soak each row with a mayonnaise mesh, then juiciness will appear.

Making a salad without walnuts

Those who do not eat walnuts, or who are allergic to them, have no reason to refuse such a wonderful salad as “Pomegranate Bracelet”. You just don't have to put them inside, that's all! It will also be delicious, the appearance will remain just as appetizing and attractive.

If you cook vegetables in salted water, then the salad itself can no longer be salted. Or add salt and pepper to each layer as you wish.

We will need:

  • chicken - 300 g;
  • eggs - 2 pcs.;
  • beets - 1 pc.;
  • potatoes - 1 pc.;
  • carrots - 1 pc.;
  • onion - 1 pc.;
  • pomegranate;
  • mayonnaise;
  • salt and pepper.

Preparation:

1. Clean and chop one onion. Fry it in oil in a frying pan until transparent.

Boil the chicken meat in salted water, cool, then cut it into cubes and add it to the onion.

2. Grate pre-boiled beets, carrots, potatoes and eggs on a coarse grater. We put everything in different containers.

3. Place a round pan or glass in the center on a flat dish. And first place the potatoes around it. Lubricate it with mayonnaise and make a layer of half a chicken on top.

The meat and onions should be cool.

Coat with mayonnaise, followed by a layer of carrots and another thin layer of sauce.

We finish everything with beets. We leave the salad to soak at room temperature, and at this time we peel the pomegranate and sprinkle it with grains for our “bracelet”, having previously greased the surface of the beets both on top and on the sides with mayonnaise. It is advisable to let it brew in the refrigerator for a couple of hours.

But not only chicken fillet is used, but also pieces of beef. It is important that it is well cooked and easy to chew. During the cooking process, we salt the broth so as not to add salt to the meat in the salad itself.

Ingredients:

  • 1 large boiled potato
  • 2 medium boiled carrots
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 boiled beets
  • Boiled beef – 0.25 kg
  • Mayonnaise
  • Pomegranate
  • 2 tbsp. ground walnuts
  • 1 onion
  • Salt pepper

1.Grate all the vegetables and cut the beef into pieces.

On a dish, in the center of which there is already a selected round-shaped object, we begin to collect layers.

2. Fry the onion until golden brown and drain off excess oil.

3. The first row, as always, is potatoes.

It was boiled in salted water, so we didn’t add salt. Be sure to soak this layer, because the potatoes are dry without oil.

4. We carefully place the beef pieces on it. But we’re not in a hurry to soak them, because we’ll put onions on top.

5. The onion is fried, so we don’t put mayonnaise on it again.

6. Next comes carrots with a layer of mayonnaise.

7. Sprinkle crushed or ground nuts on top.

8. The next row is eggs.

9. And the final layer is beets with mayonnaise.

10. Decorate the entire surface with pomegranate.

With tongue

Some chefs also prepare pomegranate bracelets with offal. For example, with language. The following salad recipe from this article will tell you how to do this.

What ingredients will you need?

For the dish you need to take:

  • onions, carrots, beets, pomegranate - 1 pc.;
  • potatoes and eggs (large) - 2 pcs.;
  • Dutch cheese - 60 g;
  • sauce, spices, salt;
  • tongue – 250-300 g.

Any other hard cheese is also suitable for treats. It is better to use beef tongue, but you can also use pork tongue.

Step-by-step cooking process

The cooking process includes several stages:

  1. The tongue needs to be thoroughly washed, the most contaminated areas cleaned, and then sent to cook for 90-100 minutes. The finished offal is cooled and the skin is peeled off.
  2. The peeled tongue needs to be chopped into small cubes of approximately equal size.
  3. Washed vegetables, except onions, are boiled or baked until cooked. Next, all of them need to be crushed using a coarse grater. And chop the onion into small cubes.
  4. The eggs are boiled until the center is firm and coarsely crushed. The selected cheese is crushed in the same way.
  5. All that remains is to peel the pomegranate seeds.
  6. On a plate with a glass in the center, food is laid out in layers in the following order: potato chips, tongue cubes, eggs, carrots, cheese, beets.
  7. Each ingredient is coated with sauce with salt and spices. The structure is covered with pomegranate seeds.

The finished treat should be refrigerated for 3-4 hours.

Rules for serving dishes, decoration

Before serving, carefully remove the glass from the middle of the dish, and optionally decorate it with herbs and whole halves of peeled walnuts.

How to make a delicious salad with smoked chicken and nuts

Smoked chicken is more tender and flavorful than boiled chicken. It is already salted and ready to eat. But in this recipe we will fry it a little more. So, let's add more nutritional value. If this is a bit greasy for you, then send the chicken pieces immediately without heat treatment.

  • 2 eggs
  • Potatoes – 3 pcs.
  • Carrots – 2 pcs.
  • Garlic – 2 cloves
  • 0.5 cups walnuts
  • 1 pomegranate

1. Finely grate the carrots and combine with chopped garlic cloves.

1. Boil the tongue in salted water, cool and cut.
