Today it is impossible to imagine the holiday table of the average Russian family without a delicious salad with crab sticks.

It has become the most favorite and obligatory dish on our menu, along with herring under a fur coat and Olivier.

Crab sticks are a frozen product that is distantly related to crabs; they are prepared from minced fish with some additives. The sticks contain almost no carbohydrates, and therefore they can be consumed by those who take care of their figure.

Usually this semi-finished product is colored pinkish or red and is easily separated into fibers. The taste of crab sticks is neutral, slightly salty, and therefore they are combined with almost all simple products that we usually put in salads - vegetables, mushrooms, even fruits.

It is not at all necessary to adhere to the exact weight of the ingredients in the above selection of recipes; we took the approximate proportions of the products.

Salad with crab sticks and beans

The basic set of products can be diversified by adding your own ingredients.

What you will need:

  • Eggs – 3 pcs.
  • Beans – 200-300 g.
  • Crab sticks – 200-300 g.
  • Sour cream – 150-200 g.
  • Salt – a pinch.
  • Greens - 1 bunch.
  • Ground black pepper - to taste.

How to cook:

  1. Soak the beans, boil them, cool them, you can replace them with canned ones, after washing them first.
  2. Chop boiled eggs, sticks and herbs in a convenient way.
  3. Mix the products, add beans, sour cream, spices. You can use mayonnaise or salad dressing as a dressing.

For dressing: mix half a glass of vegetable oil with a tablespoon of vinegar (or lemon juice), a teaspoon of mustard, a pinch of sugar, salt and pepper.

The most delicious salad with kiwi and crab sticks

Fruit is rarely added to seafood appetizers. It is believed that their tastes are incompatible. But this dish is proof that the experiment was successful.

Ingredients:

  • crab sticks - 1 medium package;
  • canned sweet corn - 1 can;
  • kiwi - 3 fruits;
  • onion - 1 small head;
  • egg - 3 medium;
  • granulated sugar - 1 tsp;
  • lemon juice - 3 tsp;
  • mayonnaise, salt - as needed.

How to cook:

The onion is chopped into half rings. Transfer to a container with fresh lemon juice and sugar. Leave to marinate for a quarter of an hour. Then squeeze it out.

The egg is boiled. Cut into square-shaped pieces. Crab sticks are cut into circles.

The kiwi is peeled, divided into quarters and chopped crosswise. The thickness of the lobules is about 0.5 cm.

Mix all ingredients. Season with mayonnaise. Salt if necessary.

If you use natural yogurt, the taste of the snack will become very refined and light. This product goes well with kiwi.

Salad with crab sticks and pineapple

What you will need:

  • Eggs – 6 pcs.
  • Canned pineapples – 200-300 g.
  • Crab sticks – 200-300 g.
  • Mayonnaise – 150-200 g.
  • Onion – 2 pcs.
  • Salt – a pinch.
  • Sugar – a pinch.
  • Vinegar – 1 tbsp. spoon.
  • Ground black pepper - to taste.

How to cook:

  1. Chop the onion and marinate in a mixture of water (100 g), salt, sugar, vinegar for 15-20 minutes, strain.
  2. Grate the cheese and whites of boiled eggs coarsely, and finely grate the yolk. Strain the pineapples, cut them into cubes, and chop the sticks.
  3. Lay the salad in layers:
  • Proteins + mayonnaise.
  • Sticks + mayonnaise.
  • Onion.
  • Pineapples.
  • Cheese + mayonnaise.
  • Yolks.

Keep in the cold for at least 2-3 hours. You can decorate with pieces of used products and herbs.

This salad combines products that, at first glance, are incompatible - crab sticks and ham. But the resulting taste is striking in its subtlety. It is assembled in layers, which allows you to choose in what order to consume each product.

Ingredients:

  • ham - 100 g;
  • crab sticks - 100 g;
  • processed cheese - 50 g;
  • onion - 1 small head;
  • sour apple - 1 small;
  • mayonnaise - to taste.

How to cook:

Sticks and ham are cut into cubes. Processed cheese, whites and yolks, grated apples.

  • Salt – a pinch.
  • Greens - a bunch.
  • Ground black pepper - to taste.

How to cook:

  1. Chop tomatoes, peppers, and sticks (into cubes and strips). The cheese can be cut into small cubes or grated.
  2. Mix the products, add dressing - mayonnaise, a mixture of mayonnaise and sour cream, salad dressing (see recipe No. 1).
  3. The salad should not be prepared in advance, as the vegetables will release juice, which will affect the taste of the dish.

Mushrooms stuffed with crab sticks

We need:

  • 1 kg of mushrooms, champignons, with large heads
  • 200 g crab sticks
  • 1 piece of processed cheese
  • 50 g mayonnaise
  • spices and dill to taste

Preparation:

1. Wash the mushrooms, cut off the contaminated stem and separate the caps.

2. Spread the hats with mayonnaise, sprinkle with spices (your favorite) and leave for 30 minutes to marinate.

3. Chop the sticks into small cubes, chop the processed cheese onto a fine grater, finely chop the dill and mix everything, seasoning with mayonnaise.

4. Stuff the mushroom caps with the mixture, place them on a baking sheet and put them in the oven for 15-20 minutes at 180 degrees.

Classic salad with crab sticks and rice

What you will need:

  • Sweet corn (canned or boiled) – 200-300 g.
  • Crab sticks – 200-300 g.
  • Boiled rice – 150 g.

How to cook:

  • Finely grate the cheese.

  • When the oil begins to boil, dip each crab stick in the batter, coat in breadcrumbs and fry over medium heat for a minute on each side.

When serving, it doesn’t hurt to sprinkle the crab sticks with finely chopped parsley. Crab sticks prepared according to this recipe will be a good appetizer for both beer and white wine.

Unusual carrot salad with crab sticks

What you will need:

  • Boiled carrots – 1-2 pcs.
  • Egg – 3-4 pcs.
  • Crab sticks – 200 g.
  • Canned corn – 200 g.
  • Mayonnaise – 150 g.
  • Salt – a pinch.

How to cook:

  1. Cut boiled eggs, carrots, and sticks into cubes.
  2. Combine with corn, add salt and mayonnaise.
  3. Decorate with pieces of salad products. There is no need to infuse the salad.

“Bombs” with crab sticks

We need:

  • 1200 g chicken breast
  • 5 pcs crab sticks
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. ground black pepper
  • 100 g butter, from the freezer
  • 200 g cheese, hard varieties
  • 15 g fresh dill
  • 7 eggs
  • 1 loaf of white bread for crumbs, or breadcrumbs
  • 3 tbsp. flour
  • 0.5 2 l vegetable oil for frying

Preparation:

1. Grind the chicken meat in a meat grinder, add salt and pepper.

2. Grate the frozen butter, crab sticks and cheese and mix. This is our filling, we divide it into two parts: one will be with greens, and the second without it.

3. Finely chop the dill and mix with one part of the filling, mix. Using a teaspoon, form balls, you should get 10 pieces.

4. From the other part of the filling, we also form 10 balls.

5. Divide the minced meat into 20 equal parts.

Wet your hands with water, form balls, flatten them into a flat cake, and place a ball with filling in the middle of it.

and carefully cover it with minced meat, and do the same with all the balls.

Using this method, the bombs are the same size and beautiful.

6. Break the eggs into a bowl, add a little salt and beat lightly. Prepare bread crumbs or breadcrumbs.

7. Sprinkle the bombs with flour.

8. Deep fry, 4-5 minutes on each side, over medium heat.

  • Mayonnaise - to taste.
  • Vegetable oil – 3 tbsp. spoons.
  • Salt, spices.

How to cook:

  1. Sauté the chopped onion, add the chopped mushrooms, and fry until fully cooked.
  2. Chop the sticks, eggs and tomatoes as desired, grate the cheese or chop it finely.
  3. Lay out the layers:
  • Sticks + mayonnaise.
  • Mushroom fried.
  • Tomatoes.
  • Cheese + mayonnaise.
  • Eggs + mayonnaise.

If you have shrimp, decorate the top of the salad with them.

Sprouted mung bean salad with vegetables and crab sticks

A rather unusual and original combination of products in this salad creates an interesting and piquant taste.

Pour mung bean (bean product) so that the water covers it by 2 cm and leave for 12 hours. We rinse, place on a suitable tray and leave in a warm, dark place for about 12 more hours, stirring occasionally and making sure that the grains do not dry out.

What you will need:

  • Crab sticks – 150 g.
  • Mash – 100 g.
  • Red onion – 1 pc.
  • Tomatoes (preferably cherry variety) – 300 g.
  • Processed cheese – 150 g.
  • Olive oil, lemon juice, soy sauce and balsamic vinegar - to taste.
  • Sesame – 2 teaspoons.

How to cook:

  1. Rinse the sprouted mung bean, soak in boiling water for 30 seconds, and quickly cool in cold water. Drain on a sieve.
  2. We arrange the salad in layers: the first is prepared mung bean, seasoned with butter and soy sauce.
  3. The second layer is laid with straws of chopped sticks and cheese.
  4. The third layer is tomato quarters and onion half rings.
  5. Pour with lemon juice and balsamic vinegar.
  6. Sprinkle the salad with sesame seeds and serve; the dish will be stored in the cold for about a day.

Salad with crab sticks and cabbage

What you will need:

  • Crab sticks – 300 g.
  • Egg – 3-4 pcs.
  • Corn – 200 g.
  • Fresh cabbage – 200 g.
  • Onions – 1-2 pcs.
  • Boiled rice – 3 tbsp. spoons.
  • Mayonnaise or dressing - to taste.
  • Salt.

How to cook:

Chop cabbage (preferably young or Chinese), eggs, thawed chopsticks and onions, combine with corn and boiled rice. As a dressing we use mayonnaise or a mixture of it with sour cream, salad dressing (see recipe No. 1). Dill and fresh cucumbers would be an excellent addition.

Crab stick rolls

If you unwrap the chilled crab sticks, spread them with delicious filling, roll them up and cut them into 3 parts, you will get unusual rolls. If desired, you can put a long thin cucumber slice inside each stick - then the roll will be even tastier. As a filling, you can use pink salmon, ground with boiled eggs and chopped onions, cream cheese or soft cottage cheese. We offer one of the options.

Components:

  • crab sticks – 0.2 kg;
  • soft cottage cheese – 100 g;
  • fresh dill – 20 g;
  • fresh cucumber – 1 pc.

Cooking algorithm:

  1. Cut the cucumber into long thin strips.
  2. Mix cottage cheese with chopped dill and crushed garlic using a special device.
  3. Unwrap the crab stick, grease it with curd paste, put a piece of cucumber inside, and roll it up.

Before serving, you need to cut each crab stick into 3 parts so that the resulting rolls resemble rolls in size. The calorie content of crab stick rolls is low, so you can eat them without worrying about your figure.
