Today I want to offer you another simple but very popular homemade dish - stewed cabbage with minced meat. My family eats it with great pleasure. It is prepared quickly from the most affordable products, but, most importantly, it turns out to be very budget-friendly and economical.
You can add just a little bit of minced meat, as my husband says: “just to smell like meat,” but on the contrary, you can add a whole mountain of cabbage. And even with such a “preponderance” in the direction of vegetables, the dish still turns out very appetizing and tasty.
To make it filling, I often add rice or potatoes. I just simmer everything together in a frying pan or in a slow cooker. In just 40 minutes a hot lunch or dinner is on your table.

- At the next stage, cabbage is poured into the pan. The vegetable must first be thinly sliced, salted and slightly kneaded with your hands so that it releases the juice.
- Together, the contents of the pan will simmer under the lid for about another half hour.
At the very end, the treat is seasoned with salt to taste and sprinkled with chopped herbs.

If you like cabbage rolls, then you will definitely like this dish. Because it is prepared from the same products, only much faster. There is no need to fuss with the head of cabbage, disassemble it into leaves, boil it, or wrap it.
All you have to do is chop, mix and simmer. And how delicious the end result is! My family is simply in love with this cabbage with minced meat and rice. You can cook it every day and never get tired of it.
- 500 gr. minced meat (pork);
- 1 kg-1.2 kg cabbage;
- 200 gr. rice;
- 1-2 onions;
- 1 carrot;
- 70 ml oil;
- 2-3 tbsp. l. tomato paste;
- 2 tsp. salt;
- ½ tsp. pepper;
- 2 tsp. paprika;
- 1 tsp. Sahara;
- 250 ml water.
Cut the onion into small cubes. Three carrots on a coarse grater. In a frying pan heated with oil, fry the onion until transparent. Then add carrots and fry them together.
When the vegetables are ready, add minced meat to them.
Fry, constantly breaking up lumps so that it does not become one continuous cutlet.
Add tomato paste and simmer for another 3 minutes.
Thinly slice the cabbage and place it in the frying pan with the minced meat. Do not add any salt, add water, cover with a lid and simmer for 15 minutes.
During this time it will settle and it will be convenient to mix it. If necessary you can add a little more water.
Wash the rice well and boil it in salted water until half cooked.
When the vegetables are almost ready, salt them, add spices and sugar. Mix, taste and, if necessary, adjust everything to your taste.
Make a depression in the center of the pan, moving the vegetables to the edges. We put rice there and cover it with vegetables on top. Simmer covered for 5 minutes, adding a little water if necessary.
Then, mix gently. Keep it on the fire under the lid for another 5 minutes and the dish is ready.
It turns out very tasty! Personally, I love this cabbage! I tried different recipes, but this one turned out to be the most delicious.

When preparing this dish, you need to start with the most important thing - preparing the main ingredients. But, before shredding the cabbage, you should peel the carrots and onions, and also defrost the minced meat. After this, cut the cabbage into small strips; you can mash it a little with your hands so that it begins to release juice.
Grate the peeled carrots on a fine grater and cut the onion into small cubes.
Pour all the ingredients into a frying pan and add defrosted minced meat and vegetable oil.
