Puff pastry pizza - recipe and cooking process
Everything is very simple. The dough needs to be given time to defrost, then it becomes soft and elastic. For this puff pastry pizza , which will be offered for Halloween for children, it is better to use a round shape.
1. Place the dough in the mold. There is no need to roll out the finished sheet dough. We make a small side out of the dough. The first layer I put tomatoes cut into slices.
2. I consider the advantage of pizza to be the ability to make the filling from those products (at least partially) that the child does not really like. I made the filling from boiled veal heart. My son, however, loves it even outside of pizza, but I know that many children do not eat their hearts. I sometimes add cauliflower, boiled carrots, spinach, and pumpkin. I don’t use sausage, ham or other smoked meats. I try to make pizza healthy. I boiled the heart, cut it into cubes and laid it in a second layer.
3. You can add onions, herbs, garlic. I added finely chopped garlic. A separate conversation about herbs. Even Italians consider oregano to be the most suitable spice for pizza. This is the Italian name for our oregano or motherwort. I always add it. It is sold in stores both as a separate herb and as part of a mixture of Italian herbs (they are also great for pizza). Oregano gives pizza a very pleasant aroma.
4. Next is cheese, grated on a coarse grater. And put the pizza in the oven for fifteen minutes. When the cheese has melted, but the puff pastry pizza is not yet completely baked, take it out and decorate. This funny toothy face was made by my son Kostya. He loves simple but creative processes in cooking and is happy to help me. He made the eyes from slices of tomatoes, eggs and olives. The mouth is made of tomato slices, and the teeth are made of pieces of garlic. Nostrils - olives, cut crosswise.
5. Place the pizza in the oven for final baking for about ten minutes. When the pizza is browned, take it out and add the finishing touch to the portrait - a mischievous forelock for our monster. That's all! A fun puff pastry pizza to celebrate Halloween is ready!
6. Pizza can be decorated in different ways. Here are some other examples. Entrust this process to children, unless they are very young. The kids will be happy to help in such an important matter!
Here are some pizza dough recipe options. So that mothers don’t have to look for them on the Internet, choose any one.
