The most delicate filling remains truly juicy, despite baking in the oven.

The ingredients are calculated as precisely as possible for a fairly small but satisfying fish pie. To end up with more servings of this dish, simply increase the amount of ingredients added according to the proportions indicated.

This versatile recipe with rice and saury will be an excellent addition to tea for lunch, dinner and even breakfast. The dish will please every family member.

Pie in the oven

Another simple recipe for baking a pie in the oven. You will need one yolk, a head of onion, 50 grams of butter, 100 gr. boiled rice, 1 can of saury, 600-700 grams of dough with yeast, two chicken eggs.

Recipe:

  • Boil hard-boiled eggs, chop them with a knife, or grate them on a coarse grater;
  • Remove canned fish from the jar and mash.
  • Grease a baking dish with vegetable oil or butter.
  • Divide the mass into two unequal parts and roll them into plates, the thickness of which is half a centimeter.
  • Place the base of the pie in the mold, make side borders of two or three cm from the dough. Place cooled rice on top, lay eggs and saury in the next layer.
  • Place the second rolled out piece of yeast dough and connect the 4 edges of the layers, pinching them with your fingers. Brush the top of the pie with egg yolk. Preheat the oven to 170 degrees and place the pie there.

After 25 minutes, the pie will be ready, the top crust will be golden brown and the delicious aroma of freshly baked fish will be in the room.

Tip: during the baking process, it is worth remembering that the top layer of baked goods should be pierced with skewers, a fork or a knife, so that steam escapes and the filling is baked evenly.

How to cook “Jellied pie with saury and rice”

1. This recipe makes the pie dough very tasty and simple. To prepare it you need a minimum of available ingredients.

2. First, beat the eggs with flour, salt, sugar, soda and sour cream until a homogeneous mass is formed.

3. Let the dough rest for a while, and in the meantime prepare the filling.

4. Fry the onion until golden brown in vegetable oil. To prepare this pie, we will need canned saury or similar (sardine, mackerel in oil, etc.). Drain excess liquid from it, mix with onions.

5. Boil the rice, mix it with canned food and onions. Add a little mayonnaise if desired, this will make the filling more juicy and piquant.

6. Pour some dough into the baking dish, put the filling in the dough, and then fill everything with the rest of the dough.

7. Place the jellied pie with saury and rice in the oven, bake at 180 degrees for about 35-40 minutes. Check the readiness of the pie in the traditional way - with a knife or toothpick.

8. After baking, let the cake stand for a while to remove it from the pan without any hindrance. Cut into portions and serve. The filling for such a pie can be absolutely any ingredients.

Pies in the oven

The pies can be fried in a frying pan or baked in the oven. Number of servings: 30; the time spent on cooking is three hours.

Recipe: you will need 500 ml of water, one tablespoon of sugar, 1 tsp. salt, 4 tablespoons of refined oil, one package of yeast, a can of canned saury, 200 g of rice, 6 cups of flour, an onion.

Instructions:

  • Pour warm purified water into a deep bowl, add dry yeast, salt, sugar and add vegetable oil.
  • Sift the flour thoroughly and add to the mixture. Mix the resulting mass and leave in a warm place for a while.
  • Rinse the rice cereal and cook in salted water until tender.
  • Peel the onion, wash and cut into small pieces; then fry in a frying pan and mix with the fish, after kneading it.
  • Divide the risen yeast dough into small portions: roll each of them into a circle and put the filling in the middle.
  • Quickly and carefully pinch the edges. Form the rest of the pies in the same way and fry them in a frying pan until crispy, remembering to turn them every 5-10 minutes

Once cooked, wrap the pies in paper towels to drain off excess oil.

Canned saury jellied pie with rice

For the test you will need:

  • 250 grams of wheat flour;
  • a glass of kefir;
  • sour cream - 100 grams;
  • three chicken eggs;
  • half a teaspoon of baking soda;
  • table salt to your taste.

Ingredients for filling:

  • 2 cans of canned food (saury in oil);
  • 150 grams of boiled rice;
  • onions - 2 pieces.

Preparation will take on average 70 minutes.

Calorie content – ​​310 kcal.

Cooking procedure:

  1. Peel the skin from the onion and chop it into small pieces;

  2. You need to add vegetable oil to the frying pan;
  3. Heat it up and add the onion pieces. Fry for 5 minutes;
  4. Open the cans of saury, drain the excess liquid and break the fish into small pieces with a fork;

  5. The rice should first be boiled until tender; after boiling, rinse thoroughly with cool water;
  6. Place saury, boiled rice and fried onions in a bowl. If desired, you can season with spices and stir;

  7. Next, we begin to prepare the dough. Break chicken eggs into a bowl, add kefir, sour cream, add a little salt and baking soda. Mix all ingredients thoroughly using a mixer;

  8. Pour in the flour and stir again with a mixer until smooth;

  9. Grease the surface of the mold with vegetable oil and pour in some of the dough;
  10. Spread the filling in an even layer;
  11. Pour in the remaining half of the dough;

  12. Preheat the oven to 180 and place a baking dish in it;
  13. The oven takes about 40 minutes, during which time the cake will be baked;
  14. After this, take out the finished pie, cool slightly and take it out onto a plate, cut into medium pieces.

Today is fish day in my family, and it somehow so happened that for lunch there was fish soup, for dinner there was mackerel baked with spices in the oven, and not dessert - butter pies with saury, rice and egg. The pies turned out incredibly hearty, filling, and airy. And it is with great joy that I hasten to share with you the recipe for these pies. This time I wanted to make the dough incredibly rich, so I didn’t regret it and added butter, eggs and milk to the recipe. Although you can essentially prepare the dough using warm water and flour, it will also be tasty, but not as good.

To prepare you will need:

  • Saira -1 jar
  • Rice -100g.
  • Chicken egg -5 pcs.
  • Flour -0.6 gr.
  • Milk - 1 glass.
  • Butter -100g.
  • Raw pressed yeast -50g.
  • Green onions - 1 small bunch.
  • Vegetable oil - 1 tbsp.
  • Sugar -3 tbsp
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon.

According to tradition, first you need to put a dough. To do this, dissolve raw yeast in a glass of warm milk,


add a little sugar to speed up the reaction and add flour to get a consistency like for pancakes or pancakes.


Leave the dough alone for about fifteen minutes; it should increase significantly in size.

Break 2 eggs into a deep cup


add soft butter, sugar and salt.


Pour in the risen dough,


sift the flour and do not forget to add one tablespoon of vegetable oil.


Mix the dough. Knead the dough until your hands and cup are clean. It should not be too thick or runny. Transfer the dough into a plastic bag and forget about it for about an hour.

While the dough is rising, start filling.

Boil the rice until done. I didn’t bother too much, I put the washed rice in a clean pan and filled it with cold water, so that there was approximately 2 fingers more water on top. I salted the rice a little, put it on high heat, as soon as the rice boils, reduce the heat to low and cook until done. In fact, the rice cooks quite quickly, about 15-20 minutes. In a cup, mix rice with saury.

Mash the saury with a spoon or fork. Mix with rice. Boil 2 hard-boiled eggs, cool, peel.

Chop fresh herbs.

I grated the egg through a coarse grater, but again, this is optional. Can be chopped using a knife. The filling is ready. It turned out amazingly tasty, you can add more mayonnaise and you will get a delicious salad with saury.

Once the dough has risen to the desired size, divide it into equal portions. I got 13 pies, and quite large ones. I like to keep it small, not for sale after all. As they say, a big piece and your mouth rejoices.

Roll each piece into a thin flat cake and place the filling in the center.


Forming a pie.

Beat the last egg until smooth and brush the pies with the egg.


We place them on a baking sheet; I first laid out parchment paper, so the baking sheet is clean and does not stick to the surface.

Turn on the oven. It should warm up well. While the oven reaches exceptional heat of up to 180 degrees, our pies will increase in size a little more.

Bake the pies for 15-18 minutes at a temperature of 180 degrees.

Here it is important to get used to your oven, since mine is old and on gas, the bottom almost always burned, and the top of the pies was unappetizingly pale. To make the baking perfect, I began to use a baking dish in place of a regular thin baking sheet. And the result was not long in coming; the pies or buns turned out perfect.
