In the last article, we already got acquainted with various ways of preparing salads with crab sticks. And we learned that such meat goes well with many foods. These include various vegetables, fruits, cereals, and herbs. They can be prepared with the addition of other seafood, or even with canned fish.

Today's series of salads falls into the classic category. I’ll tell you right away why they are classified this way.

In fact, everything is very simple. Since even in recent times these products were in terrible short supply, there were practically no recipes for them. In fact, there was only one recipe in two versions.

The first included ingredients such as crab sticks, eggs, corn, rice, green onions, herbs and mayonnaise.

And in the second one, fresh cucumber was also added. That is, in the summer, when vegetables were available, it was added, and in the winter, when such an abundance of fresh vegetables was not observed in stores, it was accordingly not used.

Crab meat and orange salad


This option is distinguished by high organoleptic characteristics and a rich composition of mineral salts. The recipe requires the following ingredients:

  • Seafood or crab sticks – 150 g;
  • Canned peas or corn – 300 g;
  • Sweet oranges – 2 pcs;
  • Hard-boiled eggs – 3 pcs;
  • Mayonnaise based on sunflower oil – 60 g;
  • Salt and pepper to taste;
  • Citric acid – 5 g.

Cooking instructions

  1. Cut the seafood or surimi crab into cubes, cool the hard-boiled eggs, crumble them and add them to the seafood.
  2. Then you need to add canned corn to the container, having removed the moisture from it in advance.
  3. Peel the orange slices and add them whole or cut in half.

  1. Sticks and cucumbers are finely chopped and mixed with crumbly rice and corn.

If you are preparing it for lunch or dinner, then you can serve it directly in the bowl in which we cook it.

1. Boil and cool the rice in advance. If you use regular rice, then take it dry, a little less than half a glass, or maybe half. During cooking it will double in volume.

If you use steamed rice, then take only 1/4 cup of it dry. As I already said, it will increase four times during cooking.

2. Peel the apple and cut into cubes. Also cut eggs and crab sticks. Place everything in a bowl.

3. Add corn, from which all liquid must first be drained.

4. Prepare the dressing. To do this, simply mix all the ingredients. If you don't have apple cider vinegar, but you have lemon, you can add that too. Just like one tablespoon of vinegar.

The dressing will have the same consistency as mayonnaise.

5. Fill the contents with the required amount of refill. If the sour cream was thick, then all the dressing will go away, but if it is runny, then it may remain.
